Kabuto Yakushi spent most of his life as a spy working for many different individuals, organisations, and countries during his life. His natural talents in intelligence-gathering and medicine attracted the attention of Orochimaru when he was younger, who made Kabuto his right-hand man.
Kabuto is suspicious regarding your strength. He thinks your profile doesn't add up and so he injured his teammate when he reviewed that your team is injured so that his team will be selected to be your replacement.
'Shit! i guess I cant play in the background much now...sigh' as i lamented about my lack of freedom when traveling the shadows hokage-sama dismissed us and we moved out of his office.
"You guys get to know each other a little...at least so you can have some semblance of team work..."The jounin grumbled before he vanished in a shunshin.

As we made small talk and friendly introduction we made our way through the village, as kabuto subtly tried to gauge my strength level by having a spar on a nearby training ground, I had to use restriction and just used the academy basics and some basic fire jutsus at low chunin level to try to deflect his interest. Even though he did not seem satisfied he at least acknowledged that i was not hiding my strength, not in the physical area at least.
With a promise to acknowledge each other tomorrow morning at the first round of the chunin exams. We parted ways... or at least partially as i attached a reinforced shadow clone on his tale while I went home to sleep as i was not in any mood to grind.

'Whats with so many mysteries...Just tell me what to do and i will get it done' As i glared at the unhelpful game screen i went about my morning routine before setting RESTRICTION off 'I need all the power i can get to get through this.'
With some liberal use of shunshin i arrived in front of the academy to see both Kabuto and Yoroi waiting for me we both nodded as we went inside the academy to the 3rd floor ignoring the trap on the 2nd floor completely after considering it for a while. Looking at hundreds of participants and their weak killing intent we just went in the middle as i just closed my eyes waiting for some commotion to begin as I surveyed my surroundings.
'Hmm Orochimaru is not here I guess he joins the exams in the second round...hmm the seal on Gaara seems fine...Hmm that one looks fairly strong I wonder how did only konoha rookies manage to get ahead it almost feels like all the strong ones fought each other...Those genins from hidden grass, alas i guess its the end of the road for them here...Such waste of life...' I continued to survey everyone for the next 45 mins before I felt some chakra signatures getting in the academy... 'rookie 9 sure took a detour, it took them half an hour to get here after entering the academy' as I surveyed the bruised form of Sauske i quickly casted an observe on everyone of them.

As i surveyed there levels i looked surprised before realizing how far i have gotten' they sure seem weak but most of them are among the strongest here...' I looked at team 9, team Gaara and Kabuto...'well except for them certainly'.
I watched the scene unfolded exactly like it did in the anime as Kabuto once again coughed blood before the examiner dispelled everyone towards there seats... I sat with some random background characters before i looked at the test and slowly starting to write some questions while missing others... while i was doing on the outside internally i was analyzing everyone and realised that Anko was hiding not too far away in a tree and was looking inside...' man she is way too eager to start huh!...' As i suppressed a chuckle at her antiques the exams progressed and ran its course like it did in the anime and i didn't think i need to change anything here.
After Anko's dramatic entrance and her speech we moved out and i fixed my attention on the grass nin, whose body Orochimaru planned to take... I talked with my teammates in casual conversation as i felt Orochimaru take over the grass nin's body and kill the remaining two members by the time we had to move in front of the gate, as the signal was given Kabuto innocently put forward the idea that since we were sufficiently strong enough we should split up and search for scrolls individually. As we moved in different directions i made two reinforced shadow clones one to assist Naruto and his team in case some changes occur and other with the instructions to lock onto the chakra signature of Orochimaru and follow him for this day forward.
Meanwhile i swiftly made my way toward the tower in order to play my part as a team player...
