32 ch 32 Carl vs Goku

Getting back to his room, Carl saw that HK-47 was finishing up the dragon radar. Seeing that HK was almost finished he went over to wait. After HK was done he handed the radar over to Carl. After getting the radar he turned it on and on the screen he could see one blinking dot indicating one dragon ball was here, which should be gokus. He was Clicking the button to zoom out till he was able to see the other dragon balls. Carl saw that four of the dragonballs have been gathered already and a fifth one was moving towards the fourth.

Carl turned off the radar and handed it back to HK, "I have a mission for you HK." Carl said.

HK took the radar and stood up at attention and replied, {always ready master.}

Carl nodded and started telling HK what he needed to do. "I need you to take that radar and go to where the dragon balls are being gathered. There should be a green namekian there but this one isn't so nice."

HK perked up, {am I to eliminate him master} he asked and you could almost hear a bit of excitement at his tone.

Carl shook his head, "no don't kill him. He needs to stay alive or the dragon balls won't work anymore." In all honesty Carl wished he could just kill him, but he does need to stay alive for Kami. also he wants OG piccolo JR to be born cause that guy can mellow out. "I want you to go there and monitor the situation. I'm planing something but just in case. If they gather all the dragon balls and about to make a wish I want you to engaged them. You can kill whoever except the namekian." Then he thought. "Oh and also don't kill a little blue child, a talking dog and a black hair girl that may or may not be there." He has a vague memory that the pilaf gang were with king piccolo while he was gathering the dragonballs.

HK deflates at the mention of not being able to kill but perks up at his next orders, { very well master. Then I pray that our enemy gathers all the balls so that I may execute my primary function.}

Carl couldn't help but chuckle at his companions words, "alright, if that happens I won't stop you." He then takes out a capsule and hands it to HK. "This is the spare speeder bike." HK nodded his head, took the capsule, put on the cloak that hid his robotic features and left the room to execute his mission.

After HK left Carl wanted to relax till it was time for the fight with goku but before he could sit down a knock could be heard at his door. Wondering who it was, because HK could just walk in, Carl went over to the door and opened it up and his eyes widen in surprise.

Carl was met with bulma who had a bashful expression on her face as she shyly greeted him. "H-hi Carl. Who was that that just left?" Bulma inquired. She evidently saw HK leaving.

Carl shrugged, "he's a friend I made in my travels." HK and him are friends right? Ya Carl will say they're friends.

Bulma nodded her head in understanding then she looked at Carl, "I-i need to have a talk with you."

Carl raised both eyebrows at her then said, "ok then I'm all ears."

Bulma shakes her head no, "not right now. I don't want to distract you before your match. After the tournament I'll say what I need to say." Carl a little dumbfounded, just nods confirming his agreement. Bulma with a satisfied smile nods, then leaves.

Carl shut the door then goes to lay down on his bed. "Things are getting complicated." He muttered aloud then tries to get his head in focus for his match.

The time finally arrived for the match. The crowd was gathered around the ring and both Goku and Carl were standing in the middle. The announcer started his banter, "alright everybody, I can tell your all as excited about this next match as I am. Our two finalist have shown us a fabulous display with their fighting prowess and techniques. We have Son goku runner up in both this tournament and the last. Will he finally go all the way. And his opponent Carl Dearman the newcomer who came out of nowhere and has risen to the top. Who out of these two will go on to be our champion. Begin." Then the match started.

As soon as the match started goku rushed Carl. Carl got into a defensive stance ready to try and counter but to carls surprise goku slid underneath him, between his legs. Then gokus tail shot out wrapping around carls leg, swinging goku right into carls gut knocking him to the ground.

In the split second Carl flipped backwards landing back on his feet and Goku was right on him, with them both exchanging blows. Carl was able to make an opening and elbowed Goku in the chin making him fly up and backwards. Before Goku got out of carls range he was able to grab gokus tail and swing him once, then twice, then three onto the ground. Almost like what the hulk does to Loki at the battle of New York, but not as brutal. He then spins trying to throw Goku out the ring.

In mid flight Goku was able to come back to his senses and before he was out of bounds, Goku was able to pull off a kamehameha that shot him straight up into the air. At the apex of his ascent Goku looked down at the arena, trying to spot Carl. Not seeing him he wonders where he went. Then above Goku he hears, "nice save." Goku then looked up and to his horror he sees a fist flying at him that hit him in the stomach. Before Goku sails down to the arena he sees Carl with a wide grin like he's having fun.

Goku soars down till he impacts the arena floor making a crater and covering him with rubble. Carl floats down next to the crater waiting. The announcer does his commentary, "and goku hits the floor hard. Is this the end? I'll start the countdown, one…two…three…" the announcer starts the countdown. Everyone is silent waiting for the outcome. The seconds seem to take forever as the announcer reaches nine.

Just as the announcer was about to say ten goku sprang out of the crater, rubble exploding away, and he was clutching his head in pain, "oww that hurt." Goku said as he rubbed his head.

"Amazing, just as we thought it was the end for Goku, he gets his second wind." The announcer says hyping the crowd who cheers at the turn of events. Goku then gets a serious face as he cups his hands to his side and starts to chant the kamehameha, "oh whats this? Goku is about to perform the signature move from the turtle school. How will Carl respond?" Carl just smirked as he did the same as Goku, to everyone's shock. Carl can now justify using the kamehameha saying he learned it after seeing it, just like Goku did. "What's this? Carl also knows the kamehameha?" The announcer exclaimed in shock.

Not even a second later both Carl and Goku released there attacks that both met in the middle as they engaged in a beam struggle. Both Goku and Carl had excited smiles on their faces due to the battle. It seemed like they were even but slowly Goku was being pushed back. Shortly carls beam was practically right up against Goku, with him barely holding it back. Then with great struggle Goku was able to deflect the attack sending it to the sky. With a sigh Goku was about to reengage Carl but to his shock, Carl was right up in his face. Next thing Goku knew Carl did a spin kick to gokus legs making him turn sideways. Then Carl, using the momentum of his spin, punch Goku in the stomach sending him onto the grass outside the ring.

Everyone was silent, taking in what happened. Then the announcer, after getting out of his shock, came up on stage right next to Carl and raised his arm signaling his victory, "and there we have it ladies and gentleman. After an intense match that kept us all at the edge of our seats we finally have our world champion. Carl Dearman." At the end of his statement everyone cheered to the new champ. Carl could only smile in embarrassment, not use to all the attention. After the initial hype the announcer then took Carl to get his prize money signaling the end of the 22nd world tournament.

Author note: I hope my fights are good enough. I'll be putting more detail in the events in the mcu but I wanted to get to the next event.

Also wanted to let you guys know I'm in the middle of writing a new fic I'll be wrighting along side this one. It will be set in the pokemon universe with a few changes to the world itself. If anyone has questions about it just ask I'll give an overview to the people that ask.
