Russell Takes Center Stage

How could an old man like him attract a young lady?

Furthermore, she was dressed in a female military officer uniform, and her figure and appearance were on par with Victoria's Secret models.

While female military officers might not be as popular as teachers, nurses, or flight attendants, it had to be said that it was an attractive profession.

After scanning the Senate hearing hall, Russell spotted the beautiful female officer whose name and age he still didn't know.

This gorgeous officer was still in her Army officer's dress uniform, complete with a black beret. Her expression was serious and professional, giving off a competent and elegant vibe.

Russell's actions drew the attention of the senators on the podium and General Hagg's group.

Seeing him blatantly ignore her remarks, Senator Franski showed clear dissatisfaction.

"Mr. Bradley, please take this seriously! Mr. Bradley!" Senator Franski said with irritation.

"Sure thing, sweetheart!" Russell turned his head back to the senators on the podium and replied.

His use of "sweetheart" caused laughter to ripple through the hall.

"Please listen to me seriously!" Senator Franski pressed on with effort.

"No problem!" Russell said earnestly.

Then, he turned his attention back to the ice-cold female officer.

Seeing Russell ignore her once again, Senator Franski was growing impatient.

Just as he was considering whether to call on the police in the hearing hall to maintain his dignity, General Hagg, sitting beside him, gave him a meaningful look, urging him to let go of that idea.

Suppressing his anger, Senator Franski continued, "Mr. Bradley, are you planning to admit the Titan creature, Godzilla, into the Justice League, a civilian organization?"

"That's correct. Is there a problem?" Russell turned his head back and asked.

"Godzilla is a dangerous Titan creature. Its presence would have a significant impact on humanity. The Justice League, as a civilian team, is not qualified to handle matters related to Titan creatures," Senator Franski argued righteously.

Seeing Franski's pretentious expression, Russell couldn't help but smile contemptuously.

"Senator, while the Justice League is indeed a civilian team, Godzilla's decision to join is entirely its own."

"If you doubt this, I can arrange for Godzilla to visit your office or your home to explain it to you in person. How does that sound?" Russell said.

As soon as he finished speaking, laughter once again filled the hearing hall.

The suggestion of having Godzilla chat with the senator in person was something only Russell dared to say in front of the senator.

Wait, Tony Stark, the playboy, might have the audacity to do it too.

"Mr. Bradley, are you threatening me?" Senator Franski shouted angrily.

"Threatening? Senator, why would you consider this a threat?"

"You just questioned whether Godzilla's decision to join the Justice League was its own choice. If you have such doubts, as a law-abiding citizen, I feel obligated to cooperate with you, Senator, to make sure you understand the truth."

"By the way, it might not be appropriate to have Godzilla visit your home, considering your suburban mansion in D.C., where you have several girlfriends, including underage ones."

Russell said with understanding.

Upon hearing this, Senator Franski on the podium was momentarily stunned, and his face turned extremely unpleasant.

While inside the hearing hall, Russell appeared to be doing nothing but admiring the beautiful female officer in General Hagg's group. In reality, as soon as he entered the hall, he had No. 3 investigate Senator Franski's background, especially the things Franski didn't want others to know.

"You... You're slandering me..." Senator Franski exclaimed loudly.

"Slandering? Senator, if you're getting old and can't remember which year your girlfriends were born, I can help refresh your memory."

"There's a screen right here; would you like me to project their profiles for you?"

Russell said calmly.

Although he hadn't prepared anything in advance for this hearing, it didn't mean he would let these politicians run him over.

To put it bluntly, out of a hundred politicians, ninety were not clean. The remaining ten were not necessarily virtuous; they just hadn't had a chance to get their hands dirty yet.

And after living in America for so many years and even working as the ace assassin at Continental Hotel for several years, Russell is no longer surprised by the dirty dealings of politicians in the world, especially in a country like the United States.

He had even helped a few politicians facing exposure of their dirty secrets as a Traveler to resolve those issues.

Now, although Senator Franski would love to skin Russell alive, upon hearing Russell's words, he had no choice but to suppress his anger and fall silent.

While Senator Franski was quiet, the crowd began to look at him with disdain.

A man in his fifties with an underage girlfriend, and not just one...

Although Russell had yet to present any evidence to support this claim, Senator Franski's reaction seemed to indicate certain truths.

The initial purpose of this hearing was to target Russell and the Justice League under the pretext of Godzilla. However, now Russell had turned the tables.

Seeing Senator Franski's displeased silence, General Hagg began to speak.

"Mr. Bradley, Senator Franski's personal life is not the subject of this hearing."

"What we are here to discuss is your illegal possession of the Titan creature, Godzilla."

"In consideration of national security, you should hand over Godzilla to the military instead of keeping it in your private possession."

"If you persist in your actions, they will be seen as a significant threat to national security and the interests of the people."

General Hagg's tone was stern.

Although he spoke seriously, Russell didn't take his words to heart.

After General Hagg finished, Russell looked at the "noble" General Hagg with a calm expression and slowly said, "General, since you are a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the various laws and regulations currently in effect in the United States."

"If you are committed to safeguarding the security of this country and the interests of its people, you should at least know the existing laws of this nation."

"General, can you please tell me, within the current Constitution and legal provisions, which one explicitly forbids private individuals from keeping Titan creatures?"

"As for your concerns about national security and the interests of the people..."

"If I recall correctly, Godzilla prevented Muto from causing destruction on Waikiki Island, protecting the one million residents there."

"If you, General, consider Godzilla's act of protecting the people of Waikiki Island as a significant threat to national security, does that mean you discriminate against all unofficial forces? Are you planning to turn America into a cold, emotionless, selfish, and self-centered nation where even when the masses are in danger, people cannot lend a helping hand?"
