6 CHAPTER 6

"Good morning Lucy. Here's my key, use my car in going to class today. I walked to school. I got you some clothes, bought it somewhere. See you."

My phone's charging yet I opened it and looked at the time. It's 11 already? I'm absent this whole morning! I stamped his yellow note on his walls and immediately rushed to the bathroom in his room.

I slept here? In his house? What am I doing? Wait, I should fix myself!

I made sure the bathroom door was locked and I threw all my clothes, turned the shower on and let the cold water rush down my body. I face palmed about me messing up. I promised mom I'm going home and here I am, I slept the whole morning.

"Lucy! Are you inside?", I heard Josh from behind the door. It's dismissal already?

"Yeah I just woke up."

"Go screw it up Lucy! You were absent said Rain and I haven't told her you're here, or she might misunderstand us."

"Can I use what you have here?"

"Sure!"

I looked for any shampoo in this place. I was stuck looking at the shampoos here. Is he using these? I was expecting him to use men's shampoo so why?

And why is he using a feminine wash here? Is he gay or what?

"My older sister used to stay here Lucy, it's her things. I know what you're thinking."

He laughed. But why does he know about what I am thinking?

"Are you a mind reader? How did you know what I am thinking?"

"A friend of mine also slept here and was thinking the same as what you are thinking. I just guess. Your phone shut down after receiving massive texts and calls from your mom."

"Thanks for the free charge.", I shouted.

The shampoo is already all over my face and as I tried to open the shower, no water flowed down from it.

"Oh Josh..."

"Yes?"

"Did you just run out of water?"

"Oh I forgot! Due to water shortages in our place, by this hour there's no water already."

"The shampoo is all over face. My eyes hurt already."

"Can you open the door for me? Just get a robe right there. There's a bath room downstairs and the water somehow reaches there."

I grabbed a robe from his closet about 10 inches above me. I wrapped it around my body and reached the knob to open it.

After I opened the door, I heard him laughed but he instantly carried me and brought me downstairs.

I just wrapped my arms around his neck and the next thing I knew, he already put me down and I while I was holding him on his shoulder, he turned the shower on and washed my hair.

"You're really an unfortunate person Lucy."

He resumed his laugh, the one that he prevented himself doing a while ago.

"Is that a thing you should laugh about?"

"Should I cry then?"

I punched him at his chest.

"Just leave already. I can do this alone."

"Yeah, I'm not going to bathe you."

I faked a smile and he just stared at my eyes.

"Your eyes are irritating. Wash it well.", he said before going out.

I even went back to the door and checked it he locked it and yes, he did. Is he purposely created for me to remember my mother? They are really alike and I'm freaking out.

"Lucy! You're absent this morning and your mom called me. Where have you been?", Rain asked me as soon as I sat down beside her.

"I was busy finding myself.", I responded.

"That was deep. Have you gone home?"

"No. But I called mom and talked about it."

"Your eyes are red. Are you sick?"

"No."

"Have you cried all night?"

"No! Rain, don't freak out I'm okay."

I looked at my desk searching for something but it was not there. And thankfully, it wasn't there.

"Yep no signs of a stalker today.", I finally breathed in some fresh air.

"I hope so. I got this."

She handed me a notepad pretty similar to what I received yesterday. I faked a smile and rolled my eyes on her.

"Lucy, you heard me? I was calling you every night. Open it up for me please."

That left me clueless about who this person is. Calling me every night? Aside from the loud noises on the second floor, no one's calling my attention every night.

"I am so worried about you not coming to school this morning. I just thought that person already took you away."

"You told mom about this?"

"Of course not. I don't want her to be scared and besides, it's you who should tell her about it."

"Whoever this is, it really sounds creepy.", I sighed.

"It is and I think we should report it already."

"But no one has harmed me from yesterday; it's still tolerable and bearable. Well, exclude the noises I keep hearing every night, that has gone pretty absurd."

"Lucy, keep your phone with you. You have to update me every time. We should be more cautious now."

"I think I should go to school early tomorrow."

"What? Why?"

"If this person posts this here before I came because I was expected to come late, I think I will be able to catch him if I go to school early."

"That's dangerous. I'll go with you."

"We should bring something that would scare him.", I suggested.

"Nope. Not something, but someone.", she let go of her evil smile.

"Someone? Who?"

"Your knight in shining armor Josh."

I laughed knowing it was a good idea.

"We should meet him up later.", she said.

She even raised her left hand for a high five. Since the students are somehow scared of Josh, what Rain said is a good idea.
