Chapter 12
As Rain has talked with Merlin, that she would be back in half a year, the demon set out for her journey. Merlin had given her a map so she know where she should teleport to. After teleporting to the small village Rain went immediately to the Kingdom. That is because she doesn't know what her mission what's her to do.
The same afternoon she already had reached the Kingdom and was after paying a small amount let in. The Kingdom was very interesting as it looks like, because of magic, the people didn't need so many inventions. The reason for this point was that most of the houses look primitive.
As she went to the main street she remembers an important thing. It is now the time were Ban was still a kid and was at the same time in this Kingdom. She hopes she can meet him because in the future only people who can attack the soul can kill him. That will hopefully not change the future too much as it already was difficult to archive her goal.
The demon king even when it was easy to kill was hard to find as he was in the Underworld which is nearly impossible to get in if you are not a demon from this world. The fastest way Rain found was by asking Merlin after she got the character she need.
Rain goes along the main street and looks for a specific boy. That would be her second goal here. After a few days, she finally found something and that was a hideout. It looks like that could be her lucky day if she already found him. Rain sat on the ground and waited till the owner will come back.
She didn't wait long as a young child with white hair comes inside. This means that was a bans hideout and she can try talking to him, which could bring a friendly relationship between them. Ban was in so a hurry to get inside and close the door behind them that he miss the person in front of him.
As the child turns around he sees a woman with blue hair sitting on the ground. His first thoughts were that this was a holy knight, but she didn't have armor on simply traveling clothes. He immediately took on a running pose if the person was after him. He can confidently say that he knows the shortcuts and alleys better than most people as he had grown up around them.
Before he can move however the person said: "I mean you no harm I am only here to talk." Rain had thought for a long time about how to get in touch with Ban without being suspicious. This was far more difficult as he had not had many people that he trust.
But Ban didn't say anything and just stood still in a position where he could run away every second. The only reason he didn't do it already was that this was his only hideout and he could go nowhere. Before Ban can make a discussion about what to do Rain takes something out from behind her back.
Ban first thought was that it was a weapon, but after a second look, he could see that it was something different. It was food. But not bread or apples it was meat. Ban never had much meat as all he got was from stealing and some scraps from other humans.
Rain saw the hunger in Ban's eyes and told him: "Here you can have it" while throwing the meat over to him. After catching it without wasting time he immediately began eating it. He didn't have many things to eat in the last days as it was winter and not many people were on the streets.
After finishing eating he looked at Rain and said:" Thank you". After that, however, he didn't show much more trust. Rain has already a long-term plan as she will come back tomorrow again till Ban fully trust her. Now after looking at Ban she went out after saying that she would be back tomorrow.
