5 Chapter 5

I woke up after feeling a weight on my face. "Pidgey." I wave him off my hat and take it off my face.

"So."

A bunch of Pokemon were gathered around me. A few Pidgeys, two Caterpies, a Ralts, a female Nidoran and a Seedot.

"Any of you want to be my Pokemon." I said as I grabbed a ball from my pouch and placed it on the ground.

The Pidgeys flew away, while the Caterpies stayed. The Ralts hid shyly behind the Seedot and the Nidoran walked forward.

"Nii." The Blue Nidoran said with vigor.

"So you want to join me. Excellent!But let us battle first." I said to the Nidoran as I released Beldum from the ball. He floated up in the air.

"Bel." Beldum said confused.

"This is going to be our first battle, Beldum. It's against a Nidoran." Suddenly something hit me.

"Wait, I forgot something." I grab the Pokedex in my pouch and scan Nidoran and Beldum with it.

Poison Pin Pokemon

Type: Poison

Height: 0.4 m (1'04")

Weight: 7.0 kg (15.4 lbs)

Ability: Hustle

Moves: Poison Sting, Tail Whip, [...], [...]

{Nidoran, the Poison Pin Pokemon. It's Poison is quite powerful for its size, but its horn is smaller than a male's.}

[Beldum]

Iron Ball Pokemon

Type: Steel/Psychic

Height: 0.6 m (2'00")

Weight: 95.2 kg (209.9 lbs)

Ability: Clear Body

Moves: Take Down

{Beldum, the Iron Ball Pokemon. Beldum floats by emitting magnetic waves from its body to repel the earths magnetic field. They launch their claws into cliffs when they sleep.}

'95.2 kg! How did I even carry him. Anyways there seems to be some unknown moves Nidoran might know.'

"Okay, We're ready. Beldum use Take Down." Beldum charged with great speed towards Nidoran. Nidoran dodged it and Beldum hit the ground. Nidorans horn started to glow purple before she charged towards Beldum.

"Beldum use Take Down and aim right for the horn." Beldum turned around and hit Nidorans horn with his head. The horn and head clash, until Nidorans horn started to lose its glow and Beldum knocks Nidoran away.

"All right, Beldum that was a nice hit." I said before I noticed Nidorans back feet glowing red.

I tried to warn Beldum. "Beldum watch out!" But it was too late. Nidoran grabbed Beldum with her back feet and supplexed him right against the ground.

"Huh? That wasn't Double Kick, That was Counter!" I said surprised about this fact.

'This isn't good. Beldum was hit hard by that.' "Hey Beldum! Can you still battle." I shouted to Beldum, before he started floating up again.

"Alright Beldum, remember what you and I talked about. That Psychic power. That power comes from within. Sense it and seize it and cover your head in it, before using Take Down."

Beldum started to glow pink trying to keep the psychic energy stable, while Nidoran was swinging her tail right and left, faster and faster.

Beldum charged ahead, covered in psychic energy. Nidorans tail suddenly stopped swinging and had a silver hue covering it. She leaped and swung her tail right at Beldum, intending to defeat him.

Suddenly Beldums psychic glow disappeared and Beldums head hit Nidorans horn directly.

The impact of the two attacks sent a gust of wind blowing around, ruffling the leaves in the bushes and the trees.

The two pokemon pushed as hard as they could before in a split second a silver hue could be seen covering Beldum. At that second Beldum knocked Nidoran away and fell to the ground, its magnetic waves seemingly depleted.

Nidoran stood up wobbling slightly, taxed from the hit but ready to fight more.

Sensing the opportunity, I grabbed a ball and threw it at Nidoran. It wobbled three times before dinging, signifying that I caught her.

"Sweet, I got a Nidoran!" I said in excitement. Hey don't judge me, anyone would be excited when they catch their first pokemon.

"Hey Beldum, are you alright?" I said as I healed him with my Aura.

"Beldum." Beldum said.

"You did great, you even learned how to use Iron Head!." I said as I muttered "Even though I was trying to teach you Zen Headbutt."

I released Nidoran from her ball. "And you." Nidoran looked up at me, a bit tired from the battle. "You impressed me, your tenacity is amazing. You kept standing even when hit by a psychic attack." I petted Nidoran and she made a sound of appreciation.

I notice that the Seedot and Ralts didn't leave. "Did any of you two also want to be my Pokemon?" Seedot nodded. "And Ralts? Does she?" Seedot shaked her head. "He?" Seedot shakes her head again. "...Does Ralts also want to join?"

"Seedot." Seedot said explaining the situation.

"So you're saying that Ralts doesn't feel ready yet and that you're not comfortable leaving Ralts alone here?" Seedot nodded.

"Well what if I catch you both and release you? That way no one else can catch you while you have all the time to get ready, alright?"

Seedot ponders this and talks a bit with Ralts.

After that she looks at me and nods.

"Ok, well first let me give you something to remember me by." I search through my bag and pull out two pecha scarfs. I tie them around Seedot and Ralts and they walk into a bush.

"Huh. Wonder where they are going?" I said as I looked at the bush.

"Well, Beldum and Nidoran. Get ready to enter Viridian Forest." I said as I put them back in their Pokeballs.

I walk into the forest and hear a loud buzz.
