2 2. System and Devil fruit
After getting rid of the scare of seeing two sea kings I got back my bearings and confirmed that I'm indeed in the one piece world. ' Okay first let's check out the system'. I mentaly will the system to show it's functions.

I was surprised to see something in system space so I immediately willed it to open.

I immediately checked the price of these in the shop and it was mind blowing, the storage ring alone costs 1 billion belis but it is worth its price as it is is blood bound and can only be opened by the will of the user. Body training manual's price of 150 million shocked me until I read the description. If I train it to the peak I can have a body that rivals Kaido. I was lucky that I got it for free. Even the boxing manual was 75 million but when you think of the 'King's punch' that can theoretically knock out a yonko it is a reasonable price. The log poses were priced at 10,000 and 50,000 each.
Then out of curiousity I checked if there were any devil fruits in the shop but was disappointed as only only devil locations were up for sale each one at 5 million beli regardless of type.
After browsing the shop for a bit I had a nagging sensation that I am forgetting something. Then it hit me, there is a devil fruit with my name on it in the island.
I frantically start seaching for it before some animal eats it, I don't want my devil fruit to be the cause of a wood bending gorilla. I easily find it at the edge of the forest because of it's distinct pattern. It is in the shape of an apple but twice the size with green colour and brown swirls. Fortunately it is on a lower branch that a kid has no trouble climbing, I then quickly pluck it from the tree.
I hold it in my hands and hesitates eating it as the taste is described as worse than eating s**t. But then I steels my heart 'this can guarentee my safety and take me to the top of the world, wood style here I come'. I then takes a bite of it and quickly swallow it to not taste it but it is futile as the horrible taste attacks my mouth. I can only guess its taste as trying to eat a month old smelly socks. After making sure I'm not going to throw up I bought a bottle apple juice from the shop at 50 beli to wash down the taste. An additional 2 bottles were required to make my mouth not taste like shit anymore.
After I got my bearings back I started testing my devil fruit powers. After the first few tries I could make a few bamboo trees. I was reward with a system alert.

After reading the description it was the level of control I had over my devil fruit that determined the power of my abilities and the duration I can use it. Another tidbit of information was awakening was at lvl.150.
"ROARRRRR"
As I was immersed in spamming bamboos a roar from the forest reminded me that what I thought was an uninhabited island was only uninhabited by humans. The revelation that there are predators that could rip me to shreads caused me to almost go into panic attack. After taking deep breaths and calming down I decided it would be safer at the beach. So without wasting anytime I scurried along to the beach.
After scouting the beach a few times I found a perfect place to make a shelter an appropriate distance away from the range of sea kings and with a good view of the forest to prevent ambushes.
As I was not an architect and the devil fruit control ability was only lvl.1, I only used bamboo to make my new temporary home in one piece world. It ended up being a bamboo box with a square base of 5 metres and a height of 3 meters and a 4 and a half meter tall perimeter wall of bamboo. On top of the bamboo box there was a lookout tower of 3 meter in height only accessible by a bamboo ladder from the inside of the box. There are no windows just small holes in the bamboo to let air in.
As I finished the basic structure of my new home I got anothet system alert.

'20× growth really is something at this rate I will only take a few years to awaken my devil fruit.' Then to train my fruit abilities I decided to furnish the house with only things made with my ability and buy only things that can't be made by me from the shop.
So first I made bamboo bed with thick legs so as not to break easily, then a matress with extremely soft grass, them bamboo table and chairs. Then I got creative and tried to make bioluminescent plants like in Avatar movie for light and a table lamb, and what do you know I suceeded.

After I finished furnishing my house it was late evening and I was a little famnished, so I decided to try another idea. I concentrated and created a 2 meter tall tree then all over that tree various fruits start to form like apples, oranges, tangerines and even some pineapples. Don't ask me how that is possible I blame devil fruit weirdness. After biting an apple and making sure that it was edible I sated my hunger with a few apples and oranges.
With my hunger sated I decided to try out the sell function of the shop. Plucking an apple I will to sell it through the shop.

I confirmed yes and the fruit disappered and my balance increased from 9850 beli to 9860 beli. Ecstatic I then pluck and sold all the remaining 50 fruits raising my balance to 10,360 beli. I then proceeded to create nine more trees of the same type inside the perimeter wall, then made a big bamboo baskets below the trees for the fruits to fall into. Although I can make fruits from my body anytime these trees can produce 1000 fruits a day independant of me. That's a daily income source of 100,000 beli and it will only increase as I makes more of these trees. And I'm sure with time I'll find better ways to use my abilities to make money.
As I was applying the finishing touches to my base I gets the feeling I was forgetting something again. I smack my head as I realised I totally forgot about the beginner package.
I quickly retreive the storage ring, it is totally black and unadourned. As per the instructions I pour a drop of blood on it, as the blood is absorbed I can feel a connection frormed between me and the ring. I can at any time see a mental list of items in the ring and will it out.
Next I retreive the body training manual and the boxing manual and skim through them, then stores them in my ring. 'I will start on them tomorrow, I need a good rest now.'
As I laid on my self created bed I firm my conviction to get stronger and to stay on the top of this world's food chain.
