2 Game Show?

Darkness

In every direction, there was nothing but infinite darkness.

James tried to move but his body wouldn't respond.

Left to his own thoughts for what could have been a few seconds to thousands of years, he tried to rationalize his current situation. The last thing James remembered was falling from a building after the girl he liked pushed both of them off the roof.

Why?

Why did that happen?

Everything seemed so foggy that he couldn't quite remember why that had happened. All he remembered was that she had turned out to be a yandere.

'Just great' James thought, 'The girl I liked turned out to be a yandere.'

James, being an otaku, knew what a yandere was and didn't really have any negative views on them as long as they didn't go around hurting people all over the place. In fact, he felt that a little bit of possessiveness was cute if it didn't go too far.

'But damn, I think suiciding with the person you love is a little much' he thought as he drifted through the void.

'Well, even if she is crazy, I hope she survived. It would leave a bad taste in my mouth if the girl I liked died.'

After spending an undeterminable amount of time thinking, James decided he wouldn't be angry with Mia, after all, he's already dead, what's the point of holding a grudge.

All of the sudden there was a bright light. When James' vision returned, he found himself sitting in a chair in front of a mirror. Looking around he found himself in what looked like a changing room for a movie set.

"What's going on?" James thought aloud.

"You're on the set of the 'Wheels of Fate' game show" A voice said from behind him.

Turning around, James was shocked. In front of him stood the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Long silky black hair tied in a ponytail, full red lips that look as soft as pillows, deep green eyes that seemed to peer into one's very soul, and a body, while not the most voluptuous he had seen, seemed to be proportioned perfectly.

"Beautiful" he said involuntarily.

"Thank you for the compliment James" the woman giggles, "but we should get you ready."

"Ready for what? Wait, what's going on? I thought I died…" James exploded into a million questions.

"Calm down James, first put this on and then follow me," the woman said handing James what appeared to be a suit.

Confused, James decided to go along with what the woman said in hopes of getting some answers as to what was going on. After the Woman stepped out of the room, James put on the suit as fast as he could and opened the door.

The woman looked him up and down with an appraising look before nodding, "Very handsome."

Hearing what the woman said, James could feel his face heating up. Coughing, James tried to change the subject in order to distract her from his obvious blush, "So Mrs…"

"Aura" The woman replied

"So what now Mrs. Aura?" James asked

"Please follow me," she said before turning around and walking down the hallway.

After following Aura for a couple of minutes in awkward silence, James tried to start up a conversation. "So, you said something about a game show, what's that about?"

"Don't worry, all your questions will be answered shortly" Aura replied before turning a corner, "now please go through this door." In front of them stood a 20-foot golden door covered in beautiful engravings, most notably of which was the infinity sign in the center of the door.

"What's behind the---" said while turning to Aura only to realize she had disappeared. 'Ok, that's weird' James thought before turning back to the door, 'well might as well go through.'

James reached out and pushed open the door. Golden light flooded out of the door forcing James to close his eye for fear of going blind. When James opened his eyes he found himself on a stage in front of a crowd of beings whose feature kept changing, never staying in one appearance for long. Turning his head in search of the door he had just passed through he found it had disappeared.

"WELCOME CONTESTANT JAMES TO THE WHEELS OF FATE GAMESHOW!" A booming voice resounded through the room attracting James' attention away from the disappearing door.

Turning to the source of the might voice that seemed to carry the weight of the world, James found….

"David Blaine?" James said in surprise.

"Indeed child, that is the name you mortals know me by," the man said with a sly smile.

'Mortals? What does he mean by that' James thought in confusion.

"I mean to say that I am not a mortal, in fact, I am what you would call a god. More specifically I am the God of Entertainment." David Blaine(?) explained.

"Wait, does that mean whenever you walked on water you were ACTUALLY walking on water. And did you just read my mind?!" James asked in surprise.

"Hahahaha, yes child. While I am sure you have many questions, I believe that we should start with your current situation." The man/god? chuckled, seeming amused by James. "You see, you were not supposed to die when you did, in fact, you were meant to live a long and happy life by mortal standards, but alas, due to certain 'unforeseen circumstances' your time was cut short. So, I decided to give you a second chance. You see us gods have grown bored. There are too few entertaining things happening in the multiverse to make things enjoyable, so as the god of entertainment I took it upon myself to create this gameshow". Gesturing around to the stage and audience of what were presumably gods, he continued "In this game show, I select one mortal and have them spin 2 wheels, one for the universe they will be sent to and another for the powers they will be granted", he snapped and 2 massive gameshow wheels appeared out of nowhere, "Now! SPIN THAT WHEEL!" he boomed with excitement.

"Wait, do I have a choice in this?" James asked in a worried voice.

David Blaine just looked and him and smiled before replying "Nope~".

Before James could do anything, not that he could Infront of a god, he felt his body begin to move on its own. He tried to resist it but there was nothing he would do. He slowly approached the first wheel that was labeled 'Universe' and placed his hands on the lever. "NOW, EVERYONE WITH ME!" the god of entertainment boomed, "PULL, THAT, LEVER!!!!"

As James' hands pulled the lever the audience of gods erupted into cheers

"I hope he gets a good world," one god said

"I know, the last one was so boring. Who would want to watch someone in the marvel universe with the powers of a snail! He only moved 3 blocks before he died in the battle of New York!" replied another god.

Hearing some of the gods, James began to panic, 'Oh shit, if I don't get a good world and powers then I'm definitely going to die!'

The wheel started to slow down and the audience was on the edge of their seats. Looking at where the wheel was about to land James paled and started wishing he had just died and stayed dead.

'Oh God, oh no, anything but Boku no Pico!!!!!' James started crying internally.

As if fate had heard James, which it probably had considering the current situation, the wheel ticked over to the next option before stopping. Seeing what the wheel had landed on, all the fear quickly turned into joy. "YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" James literally screamed, startling a few of the gods watching. After all, the wheel had landed on James' favorite possible world.

One Piece

Waiting a few minutes to let the cheers of the audience and James die down, David Blaine announced "The world is One Piece! I know some of you are excited to get this contestant on his way, but don't forget we have one more wheel to spin!"

At this point, everyone, including James, started to get excited. Without even waiting for the mysterious force that had made him spin the last wheel, James walked over to the wheel labeled 'Power' and pulled the lever. The crowd erupted into more cheers seeing the eagerness of James. The wheel spun rapidly while James had his fingers crossed, 'Please be a good power, please be a good power' he repeated over and over in his head. The wheel, after what felt like forever, finally began to slow down.

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

Tick

'Soul Reaper'

Silence.

The audience started murmuring excitedly.

"Eh, as in from Bleach?" one god asked.

"Yeah yeah, like Bleach, with the Soul society, Hollows, and all that crazy stuff!" another said with excitement.

While the audience of gods were whispering among themselves, James was thinking to himself.

'While not as much as One Piece, I was still a fan of Bleach. I don't remember all the little details, but I still remember most if not all the characters and arcs. Good, good, I can do this. With This power, I can survive and enjoy the world of One Piece.'

David Blaine once again waited for the excitement to die down before beginning to speak, "Well with that Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a universe and power, so how about we get this show on the road?"

As soon as he finished there was a bang and the same golden door that James had walked through appeared abruptly on the stage and a crimson flash shot out.

"JAMES!!!!" it cried as it slammed into James, knocking him to the ground.

Having all the air knocked out of him, James barely managed to wheeze out, "Mia, is that you?"

"Yes! I'm never leaving you again! Whether you like it or not!" She cried and then started…. Sniffing him? Ignoring Mia's weird behavior, James turned to David Blaine to try and figure out what was going on.

Looking up he saw the god of entertainment glaring at Aura who sheepishly walked out of the golden door.

"What is another contestant doing here Aura?" David asked coldly.

Aura broke out into cold sweat, "S-sir, I tried to stop her, but she managed to open the door before I could stop her" she stammered, refusing to make eye contact with anyone.

"Hmm, do you want me to turn you into a rabbit to use you in my show again?" David asked icily.

Aura paled instantly, "N-n-n-no Sir, please not that. That was the worst experience of my life", the fear nearly dripping from her words.

David then looked at Mia who was currently mounting James and refusing to move, "Then what do you think we should do, hm? We were just about to send little James on to his new universe before we were so rudely interrupted."

'NO!" Mia shot up instantly, "I'm not letting you take my James!" She yelled defensively

Seeing this David Blaine and the rest of the gods were taken aback that a mortal would be so daring as to yell at a god in their domain. David thought for a second before a sudden flash of inspiration appeared in his eyes, giving James a bad feeling.

David looked at Mia and asked, "Would you be willing to give up your humanity? To be forever bound to him?"

"YES!" she replied without a moment's hesitation.

David broke out into a smile, sending a chill down James' spine. 'He isn't thinking of doing what I think he is right?'

"Interesting! Interesting!' David clapped, "Very well, lucky for you because of the power James won, we can bind you to him, you will become his zanpakuto! And to make things more interesting I'll give you the ability to change into your human form. Now that I think about it, I'll add some changes to the rest of the One Piece world while I'm at it!"

Mia, not really understanding what just happened squealed in excitement at being able to stay with 'her' James forever, while James paled at the thought of the One Piece world, he knew changing into something totally unpredictable.

"Aaaaand done, now then ladies and gentlemen! Are you all ready for a never before seen edition of Wheels of Fate?!" David bellowed.

The audience, realizing that something new they had never seen was occurring got excited and began cheering,

"Now then, James, Mia, I hope you enjoy your trip down~" David smirked.

Mia, completely engrossed in hugging James didn't respond, while James uttered, "Wait, what fall?"

"Well, that would ruin the surprise," David said before snapping his fingers. As soon as he did, a gaping hole opened below James and Mia.

Feeling the familiar feeling of weightlessness all James could do was say-

"Oh Shit"
