24 Chapter 24
"Old man two bowls of ramen please, look I brought you a new customer today." I said smiling as I entered the shop with Tenten.
Teuchi who was doing the dishes looked up at us and said "Oh, Today's dinner would be on me then, it's rare to see Naruto Kun being accompanied by a beautiful ninja. What's your name young lady?"
"My name's Tenten." She replied embarrassingly after being complimented by Teuchi San.
"Such a cute name, please wait for a while Tenten Chan, your order will be coming right up." Teuchi said and went in to prepare our meal.
Now that we both were all alone and sitting next to each other it was a little awkward.
"Well, Tenten San...I was wondering, it should be the first time that we met today so to be honest with you I find it quite strange that you proposed to go on a date with me." I asked.
"It is indeed our first time meeting... maybe I was a little too quick but when I saw you exchanging moves with Lee I felt my heart flutter and in the heat of the moment I ended up asking you on date...well it's all good since you've agreed and you can just call me Tenten now...it feels a bit distanced when you add San , I'll do the same" Tenten ended her words with a smile while looking at me. She indeed looked beautiful.
I was a bit overwhelmed with her response and didn't know how to respond to it... Thankfully Teuchi San came back with our order just at the right time and saved me from my predicament.
Two big bowls of ramen were placed right in front of us as Teuchi went back to doing the dishes after telling us to enjoy the meal.
The aromatic fragrance from the ramen entered our nostrils as we both indulged in savouring the dish after saying 'Itadakimasu'.
While eating I asked Tenten, "Tenten do you have any hobbies?"
"Yes! I love collecting weapons!! I just recently got my hands on this spear forged by a famous blacksmith..."
Tenten started blabbering the moment I asked her about her hobbies with no intention of stopping she only came to a stop when she noticed the droplets from the food in her mouth shooting at my face...
"Ah I'm so sorry" Tenten said embarrassed as she wiped my face with her handkerchief.
"How about we discuss these stuffs after finishing our meal?" I suggested to which she readily agreed.
After finishing the meal we both left the place and started walking randomly in a given direction.
"What about you Naruto? What are your hobbies?" Tenten asked this time wanting to start the conversation again.
"Well, I don't really have any to be honest...I just want to live this life to the fullest...I don't mind developing one though...how about you teach me about weapons if you don't mind?" I said
"Ofcourse I won't mind! Just leave it all to me and in no time you would also become someone who likes collecting weapons just like me. Let's start with this simple kunai knife...." Tenten said as she pulled out a Kunai knife from her holder and started talking about it...
I just suggested the idea for a later date and was not expecting her to be so excited about it...even though the topic was something I had no interest in currenty...seeing her explaining these things to me with an excited expression made me want to listen to it.
It was getting late now so I bid Tenten farewell as she insisted that she could go back alone and their was no need for me to accompany her.
After freshening myself up I soon went to bed to have a good night's rest even though I slept a bit in the afternoon.I'm a firm believer of the saying, 'One can never have enough sleep.'
