14 the finals begin round one neji versus ian
the morning before the finals began i was in the woods near a waterfall Hinata had shown me this place over the past month she demonstrated how to use chakra control to preform her protection of eight trigram palms.
it was here in a cave on the inside of a water fall practicing a training method i had seen in mobile fighter G Gundam a childhood classic that I really just can't learn to hate like everyone else of course I was only 8 at the time and Toonami hadn't ended their afternoon broadcast.
anyway the trick is to calm your mind and awaken your sense's all the while increasing your chi circulation while breathing.
as i did this i also practiced the flowing water fist before the first drop of water came down and i struck it with a punch that completely eradicated it's existence i had been training here for the past hour so since my goal was completed i had returned home and gotten a shower.
after getting dressed in my battle armor witch was a black jacket with black pants a pair of black and white tai-chi shoes with white wraps around my arm's and legs also i was wearing a shirt of chainmail and a black shirt.
"I'm heading to the arena." I told Tsunade and shizune.
"we'll see you there." said the two kunoichi.
i decided to test out a theory of mine.
I transformed into my Aile strike form and began flying towards the battlefield.
my flight landed me right on the arena roof.
after returning to normal I preformed a somersault off the arena roof and landed right in the arena.
then I sat there and waited for everyone to come.

a half hour later the stands filled and the genin arrived.
everyone came neji temarei gaarai kankuri naru sasuki zaku leah and myself.
the nine of us had come to compete and i was rearing to go as i stretched and flexed until i could kick my leg up to my shoulder then relaxed my muscles the first round was between myself and neji.
"alright everyone my name is Hayate and i am the proctor for this exam now if you are confused ian has gone through an exclusive test to compete here do to the pressure that come's being the villages only teenage boy in a village full of girls."
"also no he will not be used as breeding stock and if you ask yes he is single." said Hayate.
unfortunately I was to at one with my inner peace to be embarrassed.
"alright i am Goukuro tsukigumo and i'll be the proctor for this exam and yes ian will be competing as he is the only male genin and has the right to be in the exam."
"i was wondering about that boy he's sure going to make my niece one hell of a toy." said killer bee.

"you scared boy." asked neji.
"you know what now that i see you up close i get why you're so egotistical and don't want anybody near you, you're an ugly little snot aren't you." i said.
"alright that's enough trash talk: Hajime! "
I pulled into my relaxed fighting stance circling my arm's around so fast I created after images.
Neji came at me on the offensive throwing a barrage of finger jabs at my torso.
i blocked each and everyone of them before he came at me going for a 64 palms fury.
at that moment everything came clear to me I saw the opening in Neji's form and took the initiative.
"flowing water fist- dragon fang spiral." i shouted launching a drilling palm spike towards Neji's core.
Neji went for a parry but I counter-parried trapped her arm then struck her multiple times with back palm strikes to her abdomen before knocked her flying with a palm thrust.
Neji flew back but stood her ground then she thrust out her palms releasing an air current.
"eight trigrams air release palm." she shouted.
I reversed it with a new move I developed over the month.
" flowing water fist- air rending palm slash!!" i shouted as i delivered a slashing palm strike that split the air and created a void.
"WHAT!!!" shouted Neji before realizing the void was a projectile shaped like a spiraling arrow aimed straight at her.
she stepped in a circle dodging it.
"try this then eight trigram palm piercing palm she launched towards me i stood still with my arm's held out and right as he came at me I caught her right arm in a grip with my left hand placed my right hand on her bicep and twisted it back before throwing her with a spiral reversed arm toss.
"flowing water fist- clashing waves counter." i said.
"Damn it!" shouted Neji.
"you watch your mouth young lady." said Neji's mother.
Neji went all out launching a blitz of palms at me.
"eight trigrams 2 palms 4 palms 8 palms 16 palms 32 palms 64 palms." she shouted throwing finger jabs at me but I blocked them leaving a trail of blue hand slashes around me creating a void.
"flowing water fist- water stream encampment!" i shouted creating a barrier around myself.
"no way a move like the protection of eight trigrams 64 palms." said Minako surprised.
"yes and it doesn't surprise me." said Cindy.
"well why not?" asked Minako.
"I control spiders you think I wouldn't have a friend that would spy on him." said Cindy in a sly manner of speaking.
"you won't win." shouted neji as she pushed her way through my encampment to deliver a blow to the heart i parried it.
she went for a fallow through blow to my head and i parried it before vanishing she turned to see where i went and was surprised to see i was crouching down.
"is he going for a lions combination?" asked Naru.
"not with that stance." said Minato.
'a lions combination stance is usually a deep forward horse stance but his stance is a leaning bow stance'
then right as Neji came at me with a slap but I launched her into the air with a rising heel kick before turning both of us at a ninety degree angle and planting her in the ground with a stomp that created a crator around us.
"wow that was just like Tsunade-baa Chan's heavenly foot of pain." called Naru
"yeah except instead of an axe kick it's a rising and sinking heel kick." cheered Sakura.
Neji lay there her eye's glazed over and foaming at the mouth.
"well crud I subconsciously used nature chakra." i said kicking myself for being careless.
the thing about using tai chi that has it's down is one can circulate nature chakra without realizing it and they can do it without any consequences.
"Kumite! winner Ian." said Goukuro.
'good now can i get some ice for my hands.' Ian thought.
"wow he really beat Neji-Nee san." said Hinabi.
"yeah and he did it using his own taijutsu style." said Haizashi.
"uncle hiazashi is his style realy all that different from ours." asked Hinata.
"well where both styles put emphasis on using supple force to defend against strong attacks and strong attacks to defend against supple attacks."
"his style is different as it use's the method of circulating one's chakra as well as using a method to repel and return any attack that one's assailant use's to harm them embracing that harm and returning it."
"there is a risk however as you can see his hands are kind of bruised from where he repelled neji's attacks towards him."
