both boys tensed as soon as Iruka started the match.

they knew the disadvantage of being the first to make a move so both stood there not moving a muscle.

Fortunately for Chouji Kiba wasn't the patient type.

"if you are not going to make a move first then I AM!" Kiba said while rushing with a wide right hook to Chouji's face.

Chouji dodged the hasty punch but didn't throw his own, Chouji didn't even like to fight so he'd rather dodge all the time than hurt his opponents.

Kiba continued with the wild punches but Chouji only kept dodging and what he couldn't dodge he would block.

"What's wrong with you fattass can't punch me?!" Kiba said unknowingly setting off Chouji's nerves.

"d-did you j-just call me fat?" Chouji's voice trembling with anger asked.

"yes I did, what are you going to do about it huh? fattass!" Kiba madly insulted.

However, Chouji didn't reply he instead started forming hand seals.

"Bubun Baika no Jutsu!" (partial multi-Size technique)

Chouji's hand grew and with it his reach as he punched Kiba, the poor Inuzuka tried to dodge to no avail Chouji kept swinging his massive hand until Chouji got off a clean hit on Kiba's stomach.

"Give up!" Chouji menacingly said while standing over the kneeling form of Kiba.

"I-I-" Kiba stuttered, seeing that Chouji relaxed his guard a mistake he would regret.

"Caught you!" Kiba shouted as he jumped with an uppercut to Chouji's chin, Akamaru who is on the sidelines barked in support of Kiba.

Chouji was sent tumbling backward from the heavy punch but Kiba didn't let him relax one bit.

"Jūjin Taijutsu!" (beast human body technique) Kiba shouted as he got on all fours just like a beast.

Kiba's canine teeth lengthened, his finger and toenails became claw-like, and his pupils turned to slits.

Kiba then started barraging the Akamichi boy with claw slashes and kicks his speed and accuracy were greatly enhanced putting Chouji in a difficult situation.

"I give up!" Chouji said as he couldn't handle Kiba's sudden increase in power.

"Kiba is the winner! now make the Seal of Reconciliation!"

the two boys obliged Kiba with a smug look while Chouji with a defeated one.

"next up is Hinata Hyuga vs Ino Yamanaka!"

both girls walked to the center of the circle and did the seal of Confrontation.

"Hajime!" (begin)

Ino took out a kunai and dashed at Hinata.

"Byakugan!"

Ino slashed at Hinata's arm knowing the dangers of the Hyugas taijutsu style.

Ino expected Hinata to dodge but was surprised when Hinata instead redirected the trajectory of her arm by softly hitting it away.

Hinata seeing an opening that even a blind man would see focused her eyes on the tenketsu points in Ino's arm, trying to hit them succeeding in some but failing in others.

Ino backed away frowning feeling a bit of numbness in her right arm, she could still move it but it wasn't as fast as before.

Ino switched the kunai in her right hand to the left having made a plan Ino again rushed at Hinata.

'again?' Hinata wondered.

Ino instead of slashing threw her kunai at Hinata.

Hinata barely dodged surprised by the action.

Ino immediately took out Shurikens and started throwing them wildly in hinata's direction.

Hinata nimbly and skillfully dodged all the shuriken.

all her attention on the shuriken she didn't notice Ino closing in on her, and when she did it was 'too late'

"Shintenshin no Jutsu!" (mind-body switch technique)

'Hinata' disappeared in a puff revealing it to be a clone.

Ino felt a cold iron against her neck and gave up.

"I give up!"

"next is Shikamaru and Shikari!"

both boys walked silently and did the pre-spar seal.

"Hajime!"

both immediately started analyzing the other trying to make a plan to win.

'i can't fight Shikamaru in a close range since he can paralyze me if I try also my shuriken and kunai throwing is almost perfect....then long rage it is!' Shikari decided in an inner monologue.

Shikari's problem with that plan is that Shikamaru probably knows he's going for long range so he going to make a counter plan, so Shikari made a backup plan just in case.

Shikari then jumped away from Shikamaru and threw multiple kunai and shuriken, Shikamaru dashed to his right to avoid the weapons and then threw his own shuriken and kunai meeting Shikari's mid-air.

then Shikamaru rushed toward Shikari throwing more shuriken his way.

surprisingly Shikari didn't back away.

"kagemane no Jutsu!" (shadow imitation technique)

Shikamaru made the tiger hand seal and immediately a black shadow sprouted from his own and moved to Shikari at high speeds.

Shikari smirked and waited till the Shadow was about to catch him then he jumped up high doing a backflip mid-air while throwing Shuriken.

"wow!"

"he's like an Uchiha!"

"so cool!"

"beat him Shikari-kun!"

those shouts came from the amazed students at Shikari's acrobatic move the last sentence came from Shikari's fangirl club.

'he's just like onii-chan but onii-chan is cooler!' Sasuke thought a bit jealous of Shikari.

back to the fight, Shikamaru dodged the shuriken after recovering from the move Shikari made.

"it's over!" Shikari said as he moved his hands and immediately all the shuriken on the ground wrapped around Shikamaru rendering him unable to move but the shuriken didn't hurt him because Shikari only put enough power to pierce Shikamaru's clothes.

"the winner is Shikari!"

cheers came from civilian kids as someone like them managed to beat a clan kid!

On that day Shikari's name would spread through the village as 'the genius civilian orphan who beat a future clan head!'

Shikari was held as a hero and hope for the civilian kids, if Shikari did it why can't they?

"quiet down class there is still one fight left!" Iruka ordered.

the class's kids quieted down after a while then Naruto and Sasuke both walked out and had a one-sided match in favor of Sasuke.

Shikari walked home smiling remembering the notification that he got from the system
