Rebirth

As soon as my head went through the portal, everything went dark

I had no clue what was happening until I was two months of age and I finally gained consciousness

Apparently I was born in Kumo, in the ending years of the Second Shinobi War, my parents having left me on the front steps of the orphanage after I was born. All I was left with from them was a small ring with what looked like Sasuke's EMS engraved on top of it and a letter with the words 'Kyoi Murosaki' on it. My new name

When I gained consciousness, I immediately took the chance to start learning the language. Reading, Writing, Speaking, seeing as I had no way of communicating

Growing up in America makes you content with speaking only English so I never learned any sort of Japanese other than what I could pick up from patterns in certain Anime, which was close to nothing

By the time I was 1, however, I could speak in simple sentences and read and write at a 3rd grade level

Walking was so much more simple, seeing as I had been walking for 20+ years in my last life. I had that down by the time I was 6 months old

The look on the matrons faces when I spoke my first word at 7 months was priceless..

Right now, I'm about four years old, my second birthday having passed a few weeks ago, and I'm just starting to learn how to use my chakra. Self taught

I never really believed that belief in other novels about how accessing your chakra without supervision is dangerous, and that notion was proved true when I unlocked it after a week or so of meditation

I've gotta say, it was hard to meditate. At first I thought it could have been because of my almost 30 year old soul, but I disregarded that because if anything it would have made meditation easier for me due to the excess spiritual Yin chakra I had. It could have also been because I was getting impatient with all the sitting around, but I digress..

"Oi! Kyo! Are you coming or what?" A female voice shouted from my right, in the field behind the orphanage

"Eh? Yeah, gimme a second Nanami!" I replied

Nanami was one of my friends that I had met a few weeks ago. She was 6 years old, one of the upperclassmen of the toddler group

I finished up organizing my writings of my personal chakra theories and ideas and went over to the back

"You finished being a nerd? We're playing Ninja!" She immediately tagged me and the other kids ran off into the trees, leaving me to my thoughts

It's really surprising how naive kids can be in a ninja village like this. They all think being a Shinobi is all fun and games, but they have no clue of the dangers out there

I tagged a kid behind a tree who groaned in response and ran off

If you were wondering, Ninja was basically hide and seek, but with a different name

All of these kids were civilian raised however, having little to no contact with any shinobi what so ever, so their notions of being a hero in their Shinobi fantasies were to be expected

I do wish they would be beaten out of it when they reach the academy though. It would be expected of them because of the temperament of the current Raikage

Another kid was tagged as they gave a groan basically the same as the last one

Will.. not.. think of them... as NPCs....

"Kyo! Come here!" One of the Matrons stepped out and called for me

I walked off as the other kids complained about her ruining the game

"You kids will be fine! Go on!" They pouted but ran off with another person to seek

"What do you need me for miss?" I asked politely

The lady looked down at me and shook her head with a small frown on her face

Noticing that put a frown of my own on my face

"Did I do something wrong?"

She shook her head again, her lips going from a frown to a tight line

"No, you didn't, but there is an ANBU asking for you for some reason, asking to bring you to the Raikage"

That made me go more rigid than a saw blade

'Does he know about the research? Or maybe unlocking my chakra? Shit..'

I stayed quiet as we walked to the front door where I could see an ANBU in a Snake mask waiting for me in a professional stance

"Here he is..." The matron pushed me to the guy who merely nodded, grabbing onto my shoulder

'Wait, is this-'

*SWSH*

'-the Shunshin?'

"BLURGHHH"

I could feel the ANBU patting my back softly as I emptied my stomach of any and all food I had had that day into the bushes outside the Raikage's office

"The first Shunshin is always the worst, don't worry" I could hear the ANBU say behind me

I groaned and just nodded before we went inside

I was half expecting Mabui to be the secretary, forgetting that we were still in the Second War for a second

The ANBU nodded at the person at the front desk who nodded back before we proceeded up the stairs

*KNOCK KNOCK*

The ANBU knocked heavily on the front door before he Shunshined away, leaving me to fend for myself

Bastard...

"Come in...." Came an aged, gravelly voice from inside

I pushed the door open, albeit very shakily, and stepped inside, also very shakily, before I rose my eyes from the floor, landing them on one of the most badass shinobi of all time

Long, white beard. Familiar tanned skin of Kumo. Shaggy hair. Eyes that could pierce the toughest of masks, and one of the burliest bodies I've ever seen

The man grinned and I felt like I would be ripped apart at any second now with how much teeth he was showing

"Kyoi Murosaki. You've discovered quite some interesting things, haven't you?" His deep, commanding voice practically ordered me to speak

I bowed low, only able to say one thing through the immense fear that weighed on me at this instant

"Hai, Raikage-Sama"

Loosely translated(By that I mean google) - Kyo or Kyoi = Threat. Murosaki - Old Greenhouse

Kyo and Kyoi are basically the same thing, but one is a little more formal than the other (Kyoi)

Also, if you are wondering why Kyoi is so afraid of the Third Raikage (Idk why you would). Remember, the man rivaled Naruto in his Kurama mode and easily cut one of the Hachibi's horns off. Kyoi would be insane to not fear a man like that, especially since he isn't even a Genin yet
