4 Questioning

The aura in the room was suffocating, and looking at the Raikage was impossible

Seriously, did he want to murder me right now?! I swear I can see a Kirin forming behind him

No, that's just my imagination...

"Well?" He question- No, ordered, once more, staring at me expectantly

I tried opening my mouth to speak, but nothing would come out, so I started to panic even more, sweat dripping profusely down my forehead

Raikage-Sama seemed to notice and let off on the pressure a bit, letting me breath easier, as well as letting me speak

Not that I could come up with anything...

"Uh, well, ah... Sorry?"

Sorry...

That was my eloquent response to the man who could kill me in most definitely less than a millisecond with ONE GODDAMN FINGER

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING JACK?! I THOUGHT YOU WERE SMARTER THAN THIS

The man- no, *Demon, looked down into my eyes and for a second I thought I was actually going to die given the look he was directing at me

I was somehow wrong

"HAAAHAHAH!!! You're interesting kid!! I like you already!" The sound of his laugh was alien at first until it finally hit me

The pressure disappeared from the room and a large, feral smile crawled its way onto the Raikages face

"Now then, a real explanation on how you learned how to control your chakra at four years old, by 'Yourself' no less?"

The emphasis on 'yourself' was noted, and I looked down at the floor in silence for a moment, trying to come up with a suitable answer

It came almost 5 minutes later. Only silence was had during that time

"I saw the Ninja in the academy do it when I walked by one day and thought I could too, so I tried and it came to me a few weeks later. Am I in trouble?"

I added in that last part with the most innocent expression I could muster up. It probably wouldn't work, but hey, can't fault a guy for trying, can you?

And god did I think it didn't work. Seriously, this guy changes moods faster than a bipolar mood ring in Albuquerque...

The only thing that gave away what he was thinking was the small smile he let out, I presume on purpose

"Bear!" He shouted at what looked like empty space, and a second later, an ANBU in a bear mask popped out and kneeled in front of the Kage

"I want you to watch over Kyoi here and make sure he stays safe as well as gets some basic training. Nothing too rough, just enough to keep him ahead of the other children.."

There was no sign of acknowledgement from the ANBU other than the guy nodding and grabbing onto my shoulder before Shunshining away with me in tow

Watching us leave, Ay had a small smile stuck on his face as he faced the window, looking pointedly at the orphanage at the east end of the village

'Miko.. Haru.... your child is already showing signs of becoming a genius..'

He then looked towards the south, the direction of Konoha, and sighed

"This is your fault, old Sarutobi... You shouldn't have let those two go. If you hadn't, you would have had such a powerful clan in your grasp.. Ah well. Your loss" He chuckled and turned back around to the sight of more paperwork as his eye twitched madly

'Why the hell did I accept this job?'

I landed at the entrance of the orphanage feeling considerably less sick than last time, which was a blessing very much not in disguise

"Kyo! You're back!" Was the last thing I heard before I realized I was rolling down the hill with another person grabbing onto me

"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

*THUD THUMP WHACK PSHHH*

At least rocks can break a fall....

"Owwwww...."

"I missed you Kyo!"

Looking down at who was grabbing onto me, I realized it was Nanami who was grabbing onto me like I was going to get blown away by a tornado

"What the hell are you doing, Nanami?" I asked slowly

She tensed and looked up slowly, not meeting my eyes

"Ehhh... Welcoming you back?"

My eye twitched and I sweatdropped at the same time

"IDIOT!"

*THWACK*
