8 Chapter – 8: Spacial Artifact and Chakra control

'Finally, I can see Chakra attributes. But, I need to know how far I am from Academy student's level and in turn from an actual Shinobi.'
'A. I chip, display major events for this year.'
[AN: I might have pushed Kakashi's birth by a couple of months.]

'So, it's almost time for Second Ninja War, ha?' I think. I wasn't even thinking of meddling.
'I have waited so long, Chakra of 9 should be enough to enter the artifact?'
I sit down on the ground cross-legged and try to feel the artifact in my soul. At first, I feel nothing, but soon I can feel a connection. It's like a string, tied to my soul on one end and seems to lead far away to an unknown place.
By intuition, I tried to grab onto that thread and pull. As soon as I do, I feel my Chakra drain at a fast pace. Finally, when it was almost a third spent, I feel myself shift like an airplane take-off but faster.
After a few seconds, I open my eyes to find myself in a Humangous Lab. Even after a couple of minutes of looking around, I am still unable to believe how massive the lab is, and best of all it is filled with all kinds of equipment. 'A deal well worth' I think to myself.
[Beep! Connection established.] [Do you want to install a subroutine for micromanagement?]

'A. I chip, What was that?' I ask.
[Beep! Successfully established a secure connection to the Management System for Soul-bound Artifact: Unnamed. A Subroutine can be installed to automatically manage and carry out tasks inside the artifact. Do you wish to install the subroutine?]

'This management system, is it like the Artifact Spirit of this place?' I think, 'It's actually good to connect it with the A, I chip. It seems almost exactly the same as what Leylin did with his Magus Tower's A. I.'
'A. I chip, go ahead with the installation.'
[Beep! Initiating Subroutine install, please wait… 1… 2… 3… Done!]

'This will become the origin of my rise to power. Name it Origin Space,' I say emotionally.
[Beep! renaming successful.]
'I need to leave now, I cannot be unseen for too long.'
With but a thought and lots of Chakra, I exit the space.
'A. I chip status!'
[Chakra: 2.5(9), Status: Low on Chakra.]
'Mmm, it takes about two-thirds of my Chakra now, but in a couple of years, I won't even feel it! That's good,' I smile contently at the worthy purchase. I fully agree with the phrase, 'Even if you sell your soul to the devil, at least make sure it fetches a good price!'
**Time skip no Jutsu**
Nine months have passed since I accessed my personal lab. I still grin when I think about it, 'I have my own lab!'
These months, I have been fully focused on two things. First is my usual exercise to keep my body in good shape. The second is, nine months ago I started the Leaf Concentration Practice for Chakra control.
I already had some success in controlling chakra from the months I spent feeling it and finally moving it all around my body. And the small chakra reserve I inherited from my parents helped too.
I could already stick a leave onto my forehead in the first hour I tried. I tried directing all my chakra onto the leaf and kept it sticking for about three minutes before it fell. I kept repeating it until I was only left with 0.5 in chakra at which point I started feeling dizzy.
'So, I feel lightheaded when low on chakra. It must be the subconscious response from by my body to keep me alive, interesting,' I think and stop the exercise. Next was just running around the house to increase stamina.
So from that day, I started practicing chakra control exercise in the morning until I feel light-headed and then start exercising my body. After nine months of intense hard work, disguised as playing of course,

In the last nine months, I have tried scanning some Academy students. On average, they had stats around 5-10 and chakra around 30 to 50. It wasn't the same for all of them. I wasn't even able to scan many of them who had chakra above 50, mainly children from clans. The same thing happened when I tried to scan Genins. Still can't get through their chakra.
It seemed like the current limit of A. I chip is chakra below 50. But I am not worried as I know it's just a matter of time. I have a hypothesis, it might be wrong but I think it has merits. I think the A. I chip can only scan the chakra that it has knowledge about. It seems chakra changes somehow after exceeding 50. So, A. I chip has no data about it yet and hence can't penetrate it to scan people.
As for my chakra control exercise, I can now stick leave all over my face and keep it sticking for about ten minutes. If it is just one leaf, I can do it for more than an hour.
Although I haven't started on bloodline experiments yet, I have done some other interesting stuff in the lab. I have confirmed that Chemistry in this world is completely different from mine whereas the Laws of Physics seem to still apply. The Gravity will still pull you down.
I tried to do some basic chemical reactions, but they all behaved differently than expected. I formally confirmed it is impossible to create gunpowder, the exact one at least, maybe I can do something similar but why would I do that? to ruin this world?
Anyway, I am not wasting time on it. I have a lot more interesting stuff to research on.
