10 Chapter – 10: Start of the Bloodline experiments - Part 1

Mass release chapter (4/5)

-------------------------------------------

[Rei POV]

There are some things that I would like to test. Uchiha activates Sharingan when they are affected by a powerful emotional condition, at that time it usually has one tomoe, although in some cases, they can immediately gain two tomoe in each of their eyes. Through emotional growth of extreme conditions, the Sharingan will continue to develop, its full maturation represented by a third tomoe. After that, if and when an Uchiha experiences the trauma of loss, Sharingan evolves into the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Since I decided to act like a mediocre Uchiha, although not early, I have to show everyone that I have activated my Sharingan someday. If not it is the same as loudly yelling, 'Madara-sama there is a waste here come and try to manipulate me to hate the word please.' And It shouldn't be more than one tomoe too, that would be too outstanding. But I cannot waste these years doing nothing out of fear. I already have one tomoe Sharingan and I have two more years before starting at the academy. If I train like I am doing now, I can definitely increase it to two or even three tomoe before going to the academy.

In the anime, I haven't seen anyone activate one tomoe Sharingan after developing it into two or three tomoe. Is it because it is not even possible or they thought it wasn't worth it? If it is the latter then I don't have any problems, I just have to show by only activating one tomoe, but if it is the former, I need to find a way to disguise my actual strength.

'A. I chip! Start new background task, From now on analyze chakra consumption per second when activating Sharingan at one tomoe.'

[Beep! New task created! Monitoring started.]

After hearing the beep, I activated my Sharingan and started today's practice.

**Time skip night**

[Beep! Sharingan active time: 1642s, Chakra consumption: 182.44, Chakra consumption per second: 0.11C/s]

[Beep! For more accurate data, suggested keeping the background task running over a long period of time. Keep the task alive?]

[Y/N]

'Yes'

Inside Origin space, I am currently looking at the three centrifuges in front of me with utmost concentration. I have just started on the bloodline experiments. But before I start analyzing the Otsutsuki bloodline, I need to first see what the ordinary one looks like and get a basic understanding of it.

Each centrifuge has eight test tubes all with blood from different ordinary people. By ordinary, I mean non Otsutsuki bloodline people. It was hard to gather so many of them, I had to play with different kids and wait for them to get hurt by 'accident' hehe!

Then, I used a neat trick I learned recently. I sent droplets of blood directly to test tubes already prepared in the Origin space and the subroutine will take care of everything else like storing and labeling them. I just need to supply enough chakra.

There are at least eight blood samples from different children from clans. I had to get them, just to be safe.

Close to ten minutes later, all three centrifuges stop. I take one test tube out of the centrifuge labeled #01 and say, 'A. I chip! Mobilize atomic microscope. Compare genetic data with the one on file.'

[Beep! Authorization received. Mobilizing atomic microscope. Analyzing genetic data, comparing please wait.. 1… 2… 3… Done!]

[Beep! Match found: Human 99.999999%]

'Mmm, so people who are not Otsutsuki descendants have almost the same genetic makeup as the humans from my previous world, just for accuracy let's finish analyzing all of these,' I think.

After going over all twenty-four test samples, I have reached the conclusion that normal humans of this and my previous world are not much different genetically.

'A. I chip, make the current world's genetic data as standard for comparison from now on.'

[Beep! Standard units for genetic data are set.]

After that, now for the fun part, I take eight more test tubes, in these I fill one with my own blood and as for others, let's say courtesy of games I played with Uchiha children, and I start the centrifuge again.

As I wait for the centrifuge to finish spinning, I wonder how different the Uchiha bloodline is from the regular ones.

Once again, after ten minutes of spinning, the centrifuge comes to a slow halt. With great expectation, I take the test tube with my blood sample and scan with an atomic microscope again.

[Beep! Match found: Human 99.867699%]

'What? I am kind of underwhelmed. I thought it would be more different than the normal ones. A. I chip show me the numbers!'

[Beep! Uchiha Rei Blood sample #001, Total gene count: 20408, Mutated gene count: 27, % Similarity: 99.867699]

'Is it just me who has low mutated genes?' I ponder 'That is one possibility, let's see what the other samples have to say.'

I couldn't believe it at first, so I repeated the process with other samples too. But the results were the same. All Uchiha blood samples had the same number of mutated genes, Twenty Seven!

'It isn't just me with low mutated genes, although there could be a possibility that it is only for samples I chose, that probability is small. For accuracy's sake, I will try again when I get more samples. But for now, I can say most Uchiha will have twenty-seven mutated genes in their blood.'

If I assume that the other clans which descended from Kaguya also had similar mutated gene count, then Kaguya Otsutsuki only had around a hundred mutated genes compared to a normal person? This doesn't make any sense! Then how can she be so different than humans?

After quite a bit of thinking, suddenly I get it, 'My thinking is all wrong! Genes are embedded in each of the organisms' cells. And there are over a trillion such cells in the human body. If each cell had around a hundred mutated genes then Kaguya had over a hundred trillion mutated genes! Of course, she is different! it would be odd if she wasn't.'

If my guess is right, then every time an Otsutsuki eats a Chakra fruit more of their genes mutate. If there is an organism among the Otsutsukis that has all of their genes mutated then… just thinking about it I shudder.

'That organism is definitely truly worthy to be called a GOD! Is that organism truly Immortal?' I shudder again, this time out of excitement. Previously I was blindly hoping and searching, but now I believe I have found my path towards Immortality.
