18 Wave arc start.

Hokage's office

As my team and I walk into the office the hokage greets us "Ah team seven perfect timing we just got a c-rank mission that sounds perfect for you first time out the village. You will be escorting one Tazuna-san back to his home in the land of waves protecting him from bandits and the like."

Once jii-san says this kakashi looks a bit surprised but quickly conceals it and whilst Iruka looks as if he's about to say something along the lines of it being too early he stops probably realising we are the best students to go through the academy since itachi.

Looking at the door jii-san says "Let him in!" and the door opens revealing a drunk old man with grey hair and a potbelly. Walking in he says "So these brats are supposed to be my guards?" he looks over us "Whilst they look competent they are only kids, can they actually guard me?" he looks at the hokage asking this. Jii-san smiles assuring him "These three are the strongest group to come out of the academy this year. Moreso their sensei is an S-rank jounin, if he can't beat what you come up against well you won't have to worry about getting back to your town that's for sure."

Nodding upon hearing this he smiles "Alright then when do we depart?" he asked, looking at kakashi. Thinking for a second he replied "We will set out at seven a.m. tomorrow at the east gate." the three of us nod to him before the hokage speaks up. "Good, now all of you except naruto are dismissed, including you iruka."

Saluting him the rest leave and I look at him "Thanks for keeping an eye out for him jii-san." nodding he frowns "Are you sure you won't need help? The demon is, whilst low ranked, still an s-rank."

Smiling at him I say "Kakashi can deal with him, besides I don't plan for us to fight with them for too long. I'm going to take out gato as soon as we get to the village." Turning around I leave the room meeting my squad.

"Alright you two let's prepare for the trip. I've prepared some sealing scrolls for us." handing some scrolls to hinata I say "three of the scrolls you need to fill with food for the three of us and the other two are for your personal items clothes, toiletries, and such. Sasuke and I will get the other things: tents, camping supplies, and the like okay?" nodding she tells me "Got it you can count on me." turning she leaves waving over her shoulder.

Then sasuke and me set off for a ninja general store getting tents, camping supplies, and extra shuriken, kunai, and ninja wire before heading home to get our personal items and some sleep for tomorrow.

East gate 6:30

Sasuke and I arrive at the east gate early meeting with Hinata and distribute the scrolls so everyone has a food, weapon, and tent/camping supplies scroll. Did I mention how op fuinjutsu is? Because it is. We have enough supplies to last a month if used normally, all in the space and weight of three scrolls.

Honestly I've been working on a way to make money with this and I think I figured it out. Shipping, you see once we kill gato a vacuum will open in the shipping industry where others will compete to take the spot of top dog, best way to do that besides killing your competition? Be able to ship more faster than any other. So i've been working on a larger storage seal designed for shipping containers allowing them to hold metric shit tons of items.

So far the biggest limitation on this is actually the amount of chakra needed to make this seal. But this is a blessing in disguise because even if someone else were to decipher my seal the chances of them being able to use it is slim to none making me the only competitor in this field. Besides that I've added mental control seals to them so I can force my customers to pay subscriptions for my shipping containers, if they stop paying bam their containers just become containers and nothing else.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here, the three of us sit talking and at seven kakashi and tazuna show up. This surprises Sasuke and Hinata due to how he has been late to everything else by at least three hours. Hinata points at Kakashi in surprise "You're on time!".

Kakashi blinks at her hard and responds "I don't show up late to missions that would be irresponsible and unprofessional. Anyway are you three ready to set off?" The three of us nod "Alright then diamond formation naruto and sasuke around the sides hinata up front with her byakugan." Saluting the three of us got in formation and set out.

Things go basically exactly like in the anime besides the fact that sakura isn't there to question zabuza about the land of waves not having ninja or whatever it was. Eventually we come up on a puddle that everyone notices due to or extra training especially with being under the effects of genjutsu from sasuke's practice. Sasuke turns to me asking me a random question to making Hinata look at me to which I shake my head no causing them to turn forward again and continue walking.

Passing the puddle a chain comes out 'shredding' kakashi, after which Hinata gets into position to guard tazuna and sasuke and I charge the brothers. Charging for the one on the left I throw kunai quickly multiplying them with shuriken shadow clone jutsu blocking me from his view I summon a clone sending him around the side.

Using an earth ninjutsu he brought up a wall blocking the kunai going to hit him then dropping it and rushing me from behind it. Engaging in hand to hand I distract him, pulling his attention long enough for my clone to come in from behind, slicing open his heels incapacitating him I tie him up.

Looking to sasuke I see him finish his fight with a genjutsu making his enemy duck to dodge an invisible attack placing him in position to receive a spinning heel kick to the chin taking him down for the count.

Dragging my brother over to the trees by sasuke and tie him up. Behind me Kakashi speaks up to us. "Well done you three, you identified the threat, discreetly made a plan, and executed it perfectly. Your team work was flawless." He congratulates us.

Raising a brow at him I ask "So does that mean you will finally teach us something other than bloody teamwork drills." humming to himself he says "We shall see once we get back to town. But first we need to interrogate these two don't you think." nodding along I respond "Indeed, if you don't mind I would like to try this myself."

Raising a brow at me he waves his hand in a go ahead gesture.
