As me and sasuke walk into class we sit next to our group of friends and hinata speaks up "So naruto sasuke how do you think you two will do?" sasuke smiles at her "Is that a serious question hinata? Each of us are top of the class and me and naruto are the top even in our group."
Snorting I say "As true as that is how much you want to bet that mizuki will have our basic ninjutsu test be the bunshin jutsu that everyone knows I literally can't do because I got reserves bigger than the hokages?"
Sasuke snorts "No doubt but one failure won't make you unable to graduate after all it's point based on all the test whether or not you pass" Nodding at him I say "That's true but how much do you want to bet he puts a genjutsu on my test paper with the wrong questions?"
Shika snorts "Oh please we all know sasuke doesn't like to take losing bets." everyone has a giggle. About then iruka walks in.
"So class I hope you all realize the significance of today's test in determining whether or not you become a ninja. Our first test will be a paper test to determine what you learned here. We will follow this up with taijutsu spars and finish with the ninjutsu portion. If you think you failed one do not worry as long as you did good enough in two others you will pass. Any questions? No good mizuki please hand out the quiz."
As Mizuki hands me my quiz, sure enough he places a genjutsu over me but thanks to my training with sasuke I silently dispel it and get started.

Sparring field
Coming out to the sparring field there are multiple instructors there sparing one v one in turns everyone in my group does well especially hinata and sasuke who both disable the instructor and kiba also does a good deal of damage no surprise he comes from a physical clan.
When I get called up I'm against Mizuki no surprise there. We go through the mark of comradery no harm intended yada yada and we start, right out the gate mizuki charges me he wants to finish this quickly so I don't get the chance to display my skill looking at him he is full of openings it's honestly no surprise naruto's horde of one pump chumps beat him, but I want to humiliate him.
So as he charges I act like I got surprised and fall backwards as if I tripped bringing my feet to his chest as he sprints at me and flip him over me and out of the ring. Standing up I look around and 'seeing' mizuki on his ass out the ring I go "Oh I am SO sorry I have no idea what just happened do we need to go again?"
Try to hide it as I might. I have the biggest shit eating grin on my face and boy does it infuriate mizuki. He puts on that smile you wear talking to a relative you hate "No no that was a perfectly executed drunken throw I think you pass this test."
Iruka comes over and help's Mizuki up. "He's correct the only other person i've seen execute that move so well was gai-sama you passed just fine." once mizuki is up he turns to the rest of the class "Alright everyone one last test then you can get lunch so we can grade how you all did. To the class everyone."

As in the anime they have everyone brought into a side room and test their bunshin no jutsu having a sneaky idea I get shino to ask if he can use his clans bug clone jutsu instead to set them up he tells me that they said yes after talking about what the test was meant to be.
So when they call me I head in and ask basically the same question as shino "So do I have to use the bunshin no jutsu or can I use any clone jutsu?"
And before Iruka can even open his mouth, Mizuki's eyes widen "NO! You can't!" got you, Iruka turns to him with raised brow "Why not? Didn't we allow shino-san to use his clans clone jutsu?" double got you. Realising what i've done as I smirk at him he tries to salvage it "Well yes but that's because it's his clan's jutsu that's to be expected, but civilians don't have a clan so we shouldn't start to expect them to use anything other then the bunshin right?"
Looking at mizuki funny he turns to me "Right, any way if you know another clone jutsu you can use better then that will be an acceptable alternative."
Sending mizuki another bigger smirk, I cross my fingers "Kage bunshin no jutsu." with no smoke a clone of me with a shadow spawns with the same smirk I have on." Iruka smiles at me "Well done naruto this combined with what you did in the taijutsu portion and from what I say of your test you will most definitely pass but head on out to lunch."
Leaving the room I head to my friends and shikamaru speaks up "So did your little trick go as planned?" giving him a thumbs up "Exactly, thanks by the way shino." He nodded to me "No problem." turning back to shikamaru I say "Mizuki tried to argue that only clan kids should be exempt from the bunshin but iruka-sensei was having none of it."
After a few more tests the teachers dismiss us for lunch so they can grade our test and find out who passed or not.
At lunch everyone discussed what they got for certain questions on the test whilst those in my group were discussing what we would be doing next week. "So what do you guys have planned next week? Me and Sasuke are going to the onsen to relax. Do you guys want to join?"
Shika points at choji and ino "No can do, our parents are going to be teaching us three our clans combination techniques, after they watched our training with you last weekend they think were ready."
Shino nods when Shikamaru finishes "I'm in a similar position. My father believes I'm ready for our clan's next level of techniques."
Sakura shakes her head "My parents want to take a vacation before I get stuck doing missions all day." Looking at Hinata she appears to be thinking "I believe I'm free this week but I don't think I can really go with you guys we wouldn't really be able to onsen together and with ino and sakura not going it'd just be me with some random women."
Looking at her confused for a second "Ohhh no, no, no, the uchiha compound has a private onsen." After a second of confusion she realises what I mean and blushing says "Oh okay i'll umm i'll be there monday."
Smiling at her the bell rings and we all head back to class. Once there Iruka announces the results which fall in line with exactly what I expected our group in the top sasuke top male hinata top female and me deadlast. Yep I aced every test and still these assholes are screwing with me. But hey it guarantees the team I wanted anyway.
We all get our headband (I get mine as a belt) and head on home. On the way home sasuke speaks up "That is such bullshit everyone of us knows you're the best of our little group how could you have possibly been deadlast?"
Pulling him into a bro hug I say "Thanks for feeling that way but it's fine at least this way we'll be on the same team." look at me he asks "what do you mean we'll be on the same team?" pulling back looking at him I go "OH that's right I forgot to tell you. The top male and female are always placed with the deadlast as a way to 'bring up' the deadlast, even the great sennin were this way Tsunade and Orochimaru were the top of their class and Jiraiya was the deadlast. Bet you didn't know that huh?"
"Huh I never would have guessed. I thought they were like the top three or something." Shaking my head I respond "Nope, although jiraiya probably didn't get strong because of the other two it's probably because he needed a more hands on teaching style like I imagine being in a small squad gets you. Anyway I'm going to go take a shower see you later."
Once out of sight I create a clone to go act like me whilst I head to the hokage tower and start a stake out hoping to catch mizuki in the act after all with me passing he would have to steal the scroll himself so I wait and I watch.

Hours later
You know I knew he was going to do it later at night I really should have just relaxed a while before coming but it paid off anyway I spotted him as he's coming out so I sent a clone to get jii-san and prepare to intercept.
Tailing him until we reach a private spot in the woods I summon another clone and dismiss it to notify the other where we are. Then I drop down in front of him. "Well, well, well what have we here it looks like the fox caught a rat trying to steal some cheese now doesn't it sensei?"
"Well If it isn't the demon" he pauses and grins "Stealing the forbidden scroll" snorting I step towards him "O please i've already notified the hokage of your theft as soon as I saw you sneaking out the tower. You're done for mizuki and there's nothing orochimaru can do to help you out of this one."
Smirking as I can see his heart sink on his face then he yells "HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY MASTER!" putting a hand up and using the other to rub my ear. "Jeez man calm down no need to act like a bashie, besides did you really think you could hide something like that in the strongest ninja village ever? Puhlease the hokage had me tailing you for the last four years as a suspected flight risk isn't that right jii-san."
As I turn the hokage himself falls from the leaves "Indeed, you should give up now mizuki you are completely surrounded as he says this ANBU falls around him. Looking around for a way to escape he eventually starts laughing, getting more and more maniacal and pulls a potion out his pocket "Lets see what Orocimaru-samas promise of power translates to." Shit "DON'T LET HIM DRINK THAT!"
I rush to stop him but am too late with a burst of steam his body expands and grows bones breaking and changing. By the end he looks like a tiger furry. After a moan of pleasure he starts to laugh again "LET'S SEE WHO'S SURROUNDED NOW!" After saying this he starts sprinting towards me, he's fast but luckily he's not used to his new body yet so deciding to play a trick I fall back like I did during the taijutsu exam and he stops on a dime tumbling a little he laughs "That won't work twic-" and he gets cut off as I push off with my hands by my head reinforcing my body with chakra and drop kick him in the sternum knocking him back a fair distance as well as knocking the air out of him if his breathing is anything to go by.
Smirking I push chakra into a seal on my pants summoning a blade. I kawarimi behind him and slash his tendons, kick his knees out and then circle the blade around to his throat and rip his hair back.
"Someone put him in some chakra cuffs!" I let out what I hoped was a commanding shout. Which it proves to be as an ANBU by what looks like instinct does as I say.

Hokage Office
"So naruto you wan't to tell me you knew about mizuki?" The hokage stares at me with a rather dead look. "Not particularly but I think it's about time. Please send out all our watchers and I will tell you everything, and please trust me." He looks at me for a while and thinks before he waves his hand "Their gone please check if you need to." Nodding at him I spread out my senses scanning for chakra and emotion but I detect none other than us two. "I'm from another universe where I was eighteen. I know of everything that happened, and I died then I came here where I was reborn. Before you say anything I have some proof In the form of knowing things I shouldn't. Like for example the fact that Danzo ordered Itachi to kill his family because they were going to start a civil war."
His face goes through multiple emotions as and after I finish speaking before sighing "I'm guessing the future isn't bright if you're here?" Shaking my head "Things get bad that's why i'm telling you all this, so we can fix it."
And so we talk into the night planning, plotting, scheming, and such...
