Another year had gone by quickly and I sat under the shade of a big tree on one of those hills away from town, Losing Hoki… had been painful for all of us at the Orphanage but we got over it somehow, But Drew was somehow rejoicing and it's only because he had finally managed to sell one of us.

Granny was rich now and she could discard all of us if she wanted but… We were a family. Since I was the one crushed the most by Hoki leaving, Granny actually cut me some slack and instead of the 2 hours outside… I got Unlimited Time Baby!

Getting a high amount of skills in a short time… Well that kinda happened when I tried mastering the natures I had, creating single attacks of each nature… The Spears Of Light and Spears Of Darkness were cool though.

But for the most part, I managed to learn Red and Blue as I loved to shorten their names, It wasn't really hard but here I am talking like I was the one who mastered it… Imagine, I was sitting down under this same tree when I got the knowledge that the clones I had assigned to do their job which was mastering the Reversal Red and Amplification Blue had done it!

And here I was chilling, But seriously though, Who wouldn't feel invincible from all these skills? I was but there were some things I also learned about this Alternate Universe of Mushoku Tensei that sent shivers down my spine.

There were beings called Cursed Souls, not Cursed Spirits as in JJK but Cursed Souls… Apparently, If a soul harbored a huge amount of hate before passing on and leaving it's material body, It becomes a Cursed soul. There was only one way of dealing with cursed souls and that was destroying them with Cursed magic.

Problem was, No Human was capable of harnessing the power of Cursed magic! What a shock! Which meant that to combat these despicable souls, A new occupation was formed, Cursed Slayer.

Within the body of every demon was Cursed Magic just waiting to be released but this could only be released when the said demon feels high amounts of negative energy… Cursed Slayers were a really high paying job but it was for Demons. The King of Asura had some personal demon bodyguards with him at all times too, Some crazy shit.

"This is just a serene town, The chances of something as efficient as a Cursed soul attack happening here are zero to none," I said with a satisfied smile. 

And then, below the hill… I noticed some dudes bullying a little green haired kid from afar. Increased senses were something else…

'Seems like nothing but shitty bullies,' I thought while springing off the hill and landing below. 

The bullies, especially a small fat boy looked at me.

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Nothing, Just want to know why you're bullying a girl like her," I replied and folded my hands, "That's not a manly thing to do,"

"She looks like a-"

My eyes flashed, If I remember correctly, Rudeus beat up this dude with water and his mother came to complain but I… don't need an excuse not to Reversal Red this dude into hell but he's far too weak for that, Damn, I'm starting to speak like Gojo now.

I moved and smashed my fist against his face, a weak punch but enough to send him flying and crashing against the ground, The other bullies stopped in their tracks and began to run for their dear lives.

'And that's the human reaction we expect to say everyday in our lives when faced with a life threatening situation,' I thought with a sigh as I looked toward the green haired girl in a white cloak, Finally after so many years, I've met Sylphette.

Shit like this didn't happen everyday but I was glad it did today.

"Hey," I said and squatted in front of her.

She raised her crimson eyes to look at mine and then she saw them… My bright blue eyes glistening majestically in the sun. She was allured by them.

"Why were those guys bullying you just now?" I asked.

Sylphy was not quick to answer, She was rather slow as she started stumbling with her words.

"Umm… It's kind of complicated," She said, "You see- My father is… an elf and my mother is a… human but I don't look like either one of my parents,"

After saying this, She broke into a full-fledged round of crying. I felt a tinge of sorrow from her and I raised my hand up into the air, in the palm of my hand, An orb of water was formed.

It took little focus to heat this up with Fire magic until it became warm and then I did the needful, pouring it atop the girl clad in dirt.

She couldn't do anything as her clothes were soaked by the unexpected drench of water causing her eyes to widen.

"Now my clothes are wet," She said with a cute pout which I couldn't help but smile at.

…

"What's your name?" I asked as we made our way to the hill where I was chilling on.

"Phil," She replied and of course, She gave the standard reply.

Hell, It wasn't hard to figure that she was a girl but alas the original didn't know that.

"So you're a girl or a boy?" I asked.

"Girl," She replied.

'See what I mean… She isn't hiding it at all, The fool wasn't looking deep enough,' I thought.

"Well Phil, How would you like to learn magic?" I proposed as I reached the shade under the tree, the only place where I could feel at complete ease.

"Ma – Magic?" Sylphy asked.

"Yeah, Like what I was doing back there with the warm water," I replied, "You could learn it too and maybe, You would stop getting bullied,"

Sylphy's eyes shone, The prospect of not getting bullied again was something she couldn't pass on.

"I agree and when can I start?" Sylphy asked, excitedly.

"Tomorrow," I replied.

That single word seemed to knock the wind out of her sails as she collapsed onto her butt and looked at me.

"Why not today?" Sylphy asked.

"I'm tired, Don't want to expend so much MP," I replied with a yawn, "Feel like I could just sleep here and never get back up again,"

"Against a tree?" Sylphy asked, clearly shocked at his bizzare statement.

"Yeah, Feeling as lazy as hell," I said while stretching, The winds had come now, billowing at the tree whose leaves seemed to rustle dangerously, "Won't your Parents be worried about you?"

In the excitement of finding a new friend… She hadn't realized that she might be worrying her Dad and her Mom!

But she suddenly found herself in my arms, holding her strongly.

"I can get you home, as long as you guide the way," I said and jumped into the air, Sylphy felt amazed at the distance I had covered in a single jump… It was nothing more than bizarre, I whipped through the air amazingly and she felt a bit afraid at the fact we hadn't fallen yet.

'Why aren't we falling?' She wondered.

I smiled, Yeah Baby, Guess who learned Flight? This lucky bastard, That's who.

Getting to see Buena town from this up high was amazing, The town itself looked really beautiful and even Sylphy had to admire the beauty. 

"Is this your first time of seeing the town you live in like this?" I asked with a smile indicating I was enjoying her reaction.

She hid her face in my chest.

"Yeah but… Being so high in the sky is dangerous right?" Sylphy asked.

"Only if you're flying with an inexperienced pilot," I replied, "I happen to be the best at Flying,"

Not everyone had achieved this certain power called Flight. It was that rare but it wasn't really a powerful move, It just granted more leverage in the fight itself. Like I could push off the ground and soar into the air to dodge attacks thrown by the enemy, Flight was just granting another perspective at Fighting and let's not mention that it was a fun way of traveling.

Now how did I master Flight? And why is it not in my skills section? 

The answer to that is simple, It's called the boundless laws of Infinity. Manipulating the Infinity around me into a weapon creates the Infinity blades I'm so proud of, Similarly pouring Infinity and mixing it with my Cursed magic makes it more powerful as well as destructive. Well, it was simply a matter of manipulating the Infinity around myself while I was in the air to keep me steady… So in truth, I hadn't really learned Flight but I had cheated my way through it, Cool right?

"How old are you, Phil?" I asked.

"7, I'm 7 years old," Sylphy replied and I sighed.

Rudeus and Sylphy in the original were the same age, so with what I got now, It was safe to say Ruth was 7 years old which meant I was two years older than her. But, I didn't realize how much of an impact Ruth had on the plot, They were supposed to meet earlier but Roxy still hasn't left yet which can point at two things: One, Roxy is more powerful than her anime Counterpart and still has a lot of things to teach Ruth or Ruth was slow at learning magic.

To be honest, I believed in the former. I mean, Why would the System want me to become her apprentice if she wasn't strong? Besides, With my attributes gradually growing, I was getting a little bit taller each month and my muscles were growing a little more noticeable, I just hope I didn't get those bodybuilder kind of bodies, Didn't really suit me that much.

Although controlling Infinity like this was a little bit taxing, But that's because I only learned about this a few days ago. Give me a month and I'll be flying around like no one's business but I still can't seem to wrap my head around how Gojo brings his palms together and suddenly appears where he wants to? That's so freaking OP!

'Need to learn how to do that,' I thought and then turned to Sylphy.

"Where's your house located?" I asked.

"On one of the many hills a little bit away from where we were, At the other side of the town," Sylph replied making me look at her with a confused expression.

"Then what were you doing in this side of the town then?" I asked.
