9 9. Mother
People of the whole City cheered. The voice sounded heavier than a War drum and it shook people's soul when they heard it.
The enthusiasm of the whole Realm could be felt from this single cheer from all the inhabitants.
A great banquet was held in the Stronghold and the Capital Ljosalfgard.
All the races and different high ranking officials participated one by one to attend the banquet in celebration of Aelsa's inauguration on the throne as the new Queen.
Another one would be held on a later date to invite the other Realm Lords.
Frey and Gerd were also present to celebrate together with Aelsa.
'Malekith, how good would it be if you were still here?' Aelsa thought sadly in her mind and remembered her late husband.
Then she looked towards the side and saw her only daughter Elaine that she had with her husband Malekith and stroked her hair softly with love.
"Your Majesty, congratulations to you and the realm of Alfheim". A minister stood up on the banquet table and raised his glass high in a cheers manner.
"To you as well". Aelsa nodded and smiled softly.
"Mom, are you really the Queen now?" Elaine asked with her mouth full of food.
"Yes, dear". Aelsa nodded with a doting smile and caressed her blonde hair.
"Yay, My Mother is the Queen now. I can brag to all my friends". Elaine cheered with her arms raised high cutely and everyone on the banquet table laughed.
"Your highness, you are our Princess now". The minister laughed and spoke to Elaine kindly with respect.
"Huh, Princess?" Elaine looked at the minister with a confused expression when she heard his words.
"Yes". The minister smiled widely and nodded his head in acknowledgement.
"Wow". Elaine said with her eyes opened wide and dumbfounded.
"Mom, I am the princess". She looked at Aelsa happily and shook her arm again and again.
"Yes dear, you are my cute little princess". Aelsa squeezed her cheeks and said with a smile.
"Mom, iw hwurts swop". Elaine spoke in a blurred voice because of her cheeks being pinched by Aelsa.
"Hahaha". Aelsa laughed elegantly by covering her mouth with squinted eyes that made her look really charming.
Her etiquettes as a noble and a knight were very good and she could perfectly perform the role of a monarch and a queen.
She had the power and recognition of the Realm and she could handle the affairs and present as a majestic ruler.
A lot of people on the scene were charmed by her display of elegance and couldn't help but pause their actions for a bit before snapping back to reality.
They shook their heads and didn't dare to look at Aelsa for fear of being reprimanded by her because of their stupid behaviour.
The banquet continued and everyone made merry with each other. Everyone was happy and cheering while enjoying the food and wine on the table.
When the Banquet finished. It was already late at night and Elaine was already taken away by the Maids to rest.
Aelsa was also currently in her quarters and looking out of the window at the moon in thought.
The scenery was picturesque with Aelsa's beauty and the shine from the stars and the moon made it look like a fantasy portrait.
A light flashed behind her and Aelsa immediately reacted.
She put up her guard and conjured a powerful magic shield around her to block any attacks.
"Good skill but I am not here to fight you". Yggdrasil said with approval and smiled softly at Aelsa.
"Your Majesty". Aelsa quickly bowed her head when she saw who was standing in front of her.
They were the residents of Alfheim and believed in Yggdrasil as their one and only True God.
Anything against her here was considered blasphemy and a great sin.
These values were integrated into their very being from a young age.
She could identify Yggdrasil with a single glance and didn't dare to be presumptuous in front of her.
"No need to be afraid". Yggdrasil said with a soothing voice to dispel Aelsa's nervousness.
"It is my honour to be able to gaze upon your form, your Majesty". Aelsa kept her bow and spoke again resolutely.
Yggdrasil smiled and didn't say it anymore because she knew that it wouldn't work.
"I am here to ask you for a favour". Yggdrasil said and touched Aelsa's head.
"As you Order". Aelsa said in a loud voice.
"This is my Champion and I would like you to raise him as your son". Yggdrasil said softly while looking at Alex's face with a loving expression before handing him to Aelsa reluctantly.
"Your Majesty, this responsibility is too heavy". Aelsa bowed and tried to refuse because she was afraid of not being to do it properly.
"I came to you because I think you are very suitable for this, so please". Yggdrasil said softly and didn't take back Alex in her arms.
She was still in the position of giving Alex to Aelsa and looking straight into her eyes.
"I will not let you down". Aelsa stood there for a while but clenched her fist and said resolutely.
"Thank you". Yggdrasil said with a smile and reluctantly gave Alex to Aelsa with longing in her green eyes.
Aelsa caught onto this and felt even more weight being placed on her shoulders.
She took Alex from Yggdrasil's hands like a treasure and held him in her arms carefully.
She looked at Alex's cute sleeping face and felt very comfortable holding him inexplicably.
"What is his name, your Majesty?" Aelsa asked tentatively. She was afraid of giving him a name that Yggdrasil did not like. So she asked without having any of those thought in her mind.
"King Yggdrasil but he will carry your surname for a while". Yggdrasil touched his cheek tenderly and spoke in a soothing and soft voice like a lullaby.
"I see". Aelsa nodded her head in acknowledgment and gazed on Alex and the now named King's face.
"This is his artefact. Make sure to let it stay by his side". She waved her hand and summoned the cushion Chastiefol in front of her before giving it to Aelsa.
"I will take care of it". Aelsa said earnestly and put Chastiefol on the bed before putting King on top of the cushion slowly.
"This will be end of our meeting, take care". Yggdrasil waved her hand and disappeared after taking a long look at King.
Aelsa bowed one more time at the disappearing Yggdrasil.
