2 Chapter 2 :(Editted) The king of beasts and System

After stabilizing the lifeboat, Arthur deployed the canvas and disengaged the ropes to release the lifeboat into the sea for his escape. As for the individuals on the ship, Arthur offered silent prayers for their safety. He had no intention of rescuing anyone, for he was already grappling with the challenge of saving himself.

Deep, resonating vibrations coursed through the surroundings. Arthur turned his gaze in alarm and spotted an azure luminescence in the water, swiftly closing in on the ship. A tremendous surge of bubbles erupted and burst above the ocean's surface, unveiling a colossal fin. There was no mistaking it; the fin belonged to Godzilla. What was Godzilla, of all beings, doing in this place? The danger level had just escalated from advanced to catastrophic. How could he navigate through this peril?

The world quivered as Godzilla's dorsal fin collided directly with the ship, rending a gaping hole in its hull. The seismic shockwave thrust Arthur out of the lifeboat. Tethered by the rope secured around his waist, he was propelled into the air. Recognizing an imminent collision with a jagged piece of debris, a relic of Godzilla's assault, he promptly unfastened the rope and plunged into the water, narrowly evading the peril.

As Arthur fought his way back to the surface, he experienced an unusual upward pull. Emerging from the water's depths, he found himself standing on a massive, iridescent-blue surface. To his astonishment, the surface proved to be none other than Godzilla's colossal head. His heart raced. Was he really standing on Godzilla's head? If that were true, he was safe for the moment, but what next? The sudden arrival of Godzilla was a complete enigma in this world.

His contemplation was interrupted by an abrupt sound: "[Ding system installing]."

"[System successfully linked to host.]"

"[Milestone system online]"

"[Ding, host, you have achieved a remarkable feat by being the first to tread upon the head of the king of the beasts, Godzilla. As such, you are rewarded with a gold chest for this remarkable feat.]"

"[Would you like to open this chest]?"

The sudden sound, akin to mechanical processing, set Arthur's heart aflutter. Finally, a robotic milestone system. Whatever you were, Arthur thought, you had better provide me with rewards that can extricate me from this dire situation.

After composing himself, Arthur seized the last remaining lifeline and vocalized, "Hey, system, commence the chest unlocking procedure."

"[Ding, host has received a superior Atlantian physique, telepathic capability, and the trident of Neptune from the DC universe.]"

"[Rewards allocation commencing in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1]"

In an instant, Arthur experienced a surging influx of energy as his corporeal form morphed from human to Atlantian. Simultaneously, the glistening, golden five-pointed trident materialized in his grasp. The moment it made contact with Arthur's hand, he felt an overwhelming surge of power and dominion over the ocean and its inhabitants. As he gradually opened his eyes, a brilliant golden luminescence hinted at his newfound status as the Ocean Master.

Simultaneously, Godzilla detected an ominous presence originating from a small location on his head. Reacting swiftly, he elevated his colossal paw, prepared to eliminate the perceived threat.

Recognizing the imminent danger from Godzilla's descending paw, Arthur nimbly leaped from the massive creature's head to his shoulder, harnessing his enhanced strength.

"Cease your aggression, Godzilla; I'm not your adversary. Halt your assault," Arthur articulated, utilizing his newfound telepathic ability.

To his surprise, Godzilla perceived the human on his shoulder as attempting to establish communication. Perceiving goodwill from the human, Godzilla chose to terminate the attack and initiated a mental connection.

"Who are you, mere mortal?" he inquired.

"I am Arthur, a member of the Human race. I comprehend that you are not our foe. Given your role as the guardian of the Earth's balance, I implore you to spare the lives of the humans aboard that ship, poised on the brink of devastation," Arthur requested.

However, Godzilla, burdened with the responsibility of maintaining nature's equilibrium, harbored alternative intentions. His disposition was less forgiving due to the audacity of a creature belonging to what he perceived as an inferior race.

As Arthur attempted to communicate with Godzilla, the towering creature shifted his gaze toward the ship that was rapidly sinking due to the catastrophic impact of Godzilla's fin.

Arthur, initially preoccupied with his own perilous situation, hadn't given much thought to the lives on the doomed vessel.

However, now that an opportunity to potentially save them had presented itself, his priorities shifted.

WhileArthur contemplated the impending catastrophe on the ship, Godzilla's unwavering resolve remained unchanged.

In his perspective, the human race had perpetually disrupted the balance of nature.

This level of destruction, as substantial as it was, did not surpass the threshold he could tolerate.

Nevertheless, he harbored no qualms about the prospect of obliterating the human race for their transgressions against the natural order.

Desiring to persuade Godzilla to reconsider, Arthur attempted to interject, "Godzilla, I acknowledge the transgressions of the human race against the balance of nature.

Could you please—"Before Arthur could complete his plea, Godzilla's retort was swift and fierce: "Silence, human. How dare you presume to dictate my actions." As the supreme beast and guardian of the Earth's equilibrium, Godzilla bristled at the notion of a creature from a seemingly lesser race instructing him on what to do."What do you want?" Arthur clenched his hands firmly around the trident, bracing for a potentially life-threatening confrontation.

"Fight me.""Huh?""I want to witness the capabilities of the trident of the Ocean Master that you now wield. In this world, there is no being left capable of challenging me.

I have longed for the exhilaration of a battle. It is regrettable that the energy in this realm is insufficient to support the clash of two titan beasts. Were it otherwise, I would have challenged the remaining great beasts. Even if they posed a challenge, I would have emerged victorious.

Thus, I desire you to fight me. With that trident in your grasp, you may be among the few capable of facing me."Arthur reflected on the gravity of the situation. "You've lived for ten thousand years, maintaining the balance of nature throughout. Yet, you act as though you've just discovered a new toy.

Have you weighed the consequences of what you propose, given the disparity in our sizes?"To that, Godzilla responded, "Undoubtedly, only the strong are granted the privilege of battling me.

You should take pride in knowing that you will meet your end in combat against the great Beast King, the guardian of Earth's equilibrium. In my eyes, if you lack the power to challenge me, you are unworthy to wield that trident.

"Arthur grappled with the realization that he had plunged into an unexpected and formidable predicament. To be continued...
