It has been a while since Rimuru started staying within this library and learning more about magic and mystic arts as currently he wasn't allowed to meet the others until his demonic/dark energy could be hidden completely as the other members will be dissatisfied if they found out such being was living with them.

as they hate anything which have to do with evil.

"I am not a bad slime though" he thought.

[Ancient one POV]

... It's been a few days since I meet with that strange creature. when I first sense him I went to check whether it is dangerous or have any ulterior motive as I could sense some dark energy from it then i tracked him and soon found him (cat form).

I follow him for a while to figure out what he was after but after awhile, what I could see was just like a kid eyes full of curiosity looking around the town. I feel that he is not evil even though he have *that* energy. so after thinking for a while I approached him.

One thing lead to another another and now he is staying in my secret library in Kamar-Taj.

During this time I learn a few thing about him like how he can stay alive with just magic/energy and that his body has the ability to infinity generate magic/energy.

His talent for magic and mystic arts and to learn anything quick like a sponge absorbing water and (because of his skill great sage but will take time being proficient in it).

later ..when I ask about his whereabouts, he just advert the question with somthing else. not that I mind as everyone has their own secrets which they wouldn't want others to know about even myself.

My mind has already turn numb with all the suprised i got from him.

Everything about him interests me as everything about him is a mystery.

I wasn't much suprised anymore when i found out that he is one of a kind in this universe or in this whole multiverse which means that he can travel in any of the parallel world do whatever he want.

Or .. when I found out that he is a weak monster which could be seen in fantasy games which kids plays nowadays and it really took me awhile to know that .... as I'm really busy with beings from dark dimensions protecting Earth, that I have no knowledge regarding such matters.

His monstrous skills/abilities, talent shown only in this few days ..thinking up to this point I couldn't hold myself thinking of what his future holds for him, rasing such a monster but as well as be afraid ....

In the secret library of Kamar-Taj you could see a small jelly like object flipping through pages of a book which look ancient. it is non other than our lovely slime Rimuru who has finally learn a few ancient languages and was reading a book about interdimensional travel.

???: "You seems to be busy reading something ... *hmmm* let me guess .. still reading about interdimensional aren't you" spoke someone from behind.

without even looking who it was Rimuru replied " why are you here Gramps? I thought you were busy".

(You may have already guess who it is....)

Not minding his casual manner Ancient one replied "You really like things related to interdimensional and multiverse. Don't you?" while thinking whether he had made a mistake introducing him about all this stuff a little early.

"yes... and I know that you haven't come to visit me just to talk about this. So what is the purpose of your visit Gramps? " I asked.

"well.. I thought you would like some fresh air so I came to take you out and i finnaly made something which could hide your aura/energy completely when you transform. Here ..try this" saying that Ancient one threw a object which look like a bracelet.

transforming into a cat with bracelet around my neck I thank him for his help.

then we went to visit many beautiful places teleporting around Nepal like Mt. Everest, Kathmandu, etc. after travelling for a whole day we return back to the library.

"So how was it.. did you have fun??" he asked.

"Yes, thank Gramps. I really enjoy today" I replied.

... As I was returning to read the book suddenly Gramps asked me something which suprised me and made me hesitate whether to say it or not.

what he asked was "kid, can you also turn into beings other than cat . for example a human? if you can I will be able to teach you some martial arts".

seeing me hesitate, he continued "if it's something you don't want to talk about then it's fine kid but know that even though we have known each other for not to long, I think of you as my own grandson".

Instead of replying still hesitating i asked "Promise me..that you won't hate me after what I tell you". as I was really afraid since he is the first person I who looked after me and help me in this life and I really like him.

"sure.. kid" he replied while paying attention to not miss any details.

then I explained everything begining from meeting the cat in the outskirts to how i was able to turn into the cat after I devour it and can obtain skills and mimic body of the creatures that I devour.

After listening to Rimuru, he frown but his expression soon return to normal. then he asked "will you also devour innocent/good people if you could gain power".

shaking my head I replied " no... I would never do such things as it is against my will"in a firm tone.

"Good..good ..good" he exclaimed. now let's see how we can get you a body. so that I could pass down all my skills to this lovely grandchild of mine with a genuine *smile* which he show for the first time.
