1 Chapter1 In love with your sister

Christy's POV

Christy sat on her bed facing the window, wondering what today will be like, "I know, I know, it would be like every other Christmas, no parents, no relatives, no friends, nobody to share my Christmas with”. She turns her gaze from the window back to her reading table. She got up from the bed and walk to the books at the table, and she pick up the bible.

“Yes.. yes, they said if I wish for anything, it will come to pass, right?

No, Christy, they didn’t say you should wish but ask anything and it will be given to you. Okay. ", she held the bible and raise it. "No, that is not how they do it, open it and kneel," She heard the voice again. "Okay, ", she brought down her hands and kneel before her bed, open the bible and start to pray.

"O dear Lord, please I don’t want to be lonely this Christmas, ever again, please help me lord, send someone who will be a friend, male or female I don’t care, I need someone that will smile with me and take away this loneliness amen."

She keeps looking at the ceiling to hear a voice, but nothing came.

"Oh. I guess he heard me." Christy said and walk out the door to start her normal house chores.

To her, it doesn’t make any difference if it is Christmas or not, because her stepmom will not allow her out of the house except to throw out the trash and clean up the house. She has never had a Christmas present since her parents both pass away.

Paul's POV

It is unlikely for Paul to be seen outside on a Christmas morning driving around going nowhere until he felt like something slam his car or No!… his car hit something.

"Do you want to spoil my car?" Paul asks Christy when he got out of the car to see what was it that hit his car.

“Are you blind? Can’t you see you are the one who hit me? And besides, how can a human being hit a car?." Christy asks Paul who nonchalantly came out of his car.

“Is possible seeing that you didn’t even look like a human being? ". Paul jokily said, but Christy did not take it lightly with him, she drag him to their house reporting the case to her stepmom.

Paul obediently follows her since he had nowhere to go today. He just wanted to fool around with a random girl.

"Who is this?" Christy’s stepmom shouted at her.

"I was going to throw out the trash you sent me when he hit me with his car". Christy’s stepmom looked at Paul up and down, "hmm, he looks like royalty" she muttered.

"Let go of his shirt. Do you want to stain him with your dirty hands?" She shouted at Christy and then turn to Paul, "Come in my dear", she took Paul inside the house.

"And you, have you thrown away the trash?"

"No, ma". Christy said, bowing her knees a little, while Paul look on.

"Then what are you waiting for? Go, you dirty girl." Christy walks away regretting why she has to drag Paul to the house.

"What a wonderful day for you to have come to our house, " she said to Paul.

"Yeah, " Paul said, nodding his head, and wondering what might have happened to his car by now and how this is not going the way he thought.

"Let me get you something to eat." The woman said.

"Oh. No..no..no. I'm fine, I don’t want to eat, is too early for that." He wanted to get up and go, but she pull him down.

"No way!... sit, let me get you tea, is Christmas and you can’t come to my house and leave just like that."

"Okay. " Paul sat down again, but he was not feeling comfortable with people he knows nothing about.

Just then, a tall beautiful girl walks in.

"Hey… Bridget, look who we got here."  Her mother said.

    "Who is he?"

"What is your name my dear?" The mother asks for the first time.

"My name is Paul," he said still looking at Bridget.

"Hey. Paul" she gave him her hand.

"Hey.. Bridget". Paul shakes hands with her but keeps gazing at her face like he has seen an angel.

"So what are you doing in our house"? Bridget ask.

    "I.....I..…"

"He is just passing and then he decide to stop by", her mother said helping Paul out.

"Oh.. yes, yes.. that is it, just passing by."

"Okay, you are welcome to our house."

"Thank you so much, I will take my leave now".

"Alright, see you some other time," Bridget said.

"Okay bye," Paul said and hurriedly left the house, rushing down to where his car was parked.

"Oh.. thank goodness my car is still here". Turning around he saw Christy sitting by the corner crying.

"What are you doing here crying?, Your mother is waiting for you". Christy got up and wipe her tears with her cloth.

"And what are you doing here?". She asks back.

"Well am going home, you too should go home."

"And what if I don’t what to go home."

"Well, your mother will have your head on a platter, because the woman I saw back there is not someone you want to mess with," Paul said without knowing anything about the woman.

"Just leave me alone". She said and walk away.

"Is she walking away from me?". Paul asks himself. "Yes, she is walking away from me. Hey..., wait a minute" he called but Christy start walking very fast to get away from him.

Paul got home and took a shower, "Wowww….., what an interesting morning?". He keeps smiling to himself.

"The first girl is interesting, but the second one is beautiful, and their mother.., it seems she likes the second one more than the first one, hmmm, I like to go back there, but who will I say I went there to see? Hmmm…" he just keeps smiling to himself.

"What is wrong with your son?" Mrs. Elizabeth asks her husband.

"What do you think?" He replies.

"Only a man who is in love will be smiling all to himself".

    "How did you know?"

"I know because I'm his mother".

"Well then let him be, is a good thing that we will have to see our daughter-in-law soon enough".

"Hmm, don’t be in such a hurry Mr. Brown". She said.

Christy opens the door to go inside but her stepmom was already standing there waiting for her.

"Come here you little prostitute, where did you bring that boy from?"

"I told you already, he hit me with his car and I brought him here to report to you, but I'm sorry for bringing him here. I'm truly sorry." Christy pleaded.

"If not that this house is your father’s house, I would have thrown you out of here, you idiotic girl.

Now, I don’t want to see you with that boy, you hear me?"

"Yes, ma" she bows her knees.

"Get out of my face," Bridge yells at her. "That is all you know how to do, bringing in men into this house, and they will say is Bridget that is a prostitute."

It passed twelve on Christmas eve and Paul was still thinking of what excuse to give for being in Christy’s house and who exactly is he going there to see?. He needs to take someone out, his guys are all going to be at the party and up till now he didn’t have a girl to present to them, he needs to go with someone.

Bridget heard a knock on the door, and she called Christy to come and open the door, even though she was sitting close to the door.

"Christy… someone is at the door."

"Okay, I'm coming. " she rushed to open the door, is Paul again, she quickly close the door.

    "Who is that?" Bridget ask.

"No one is Jehovah’s witness," Christy lied.

"Really, on Christmas day? Bridget asks. "Please close the door."

"Yes Bridget," Christy said. And open the door again.

"What are you doing here?" She whispers, "Go away, my mother and Bridget will kill me if they find out you are here again."

"But…." She close the door again before Paul could say anything.

"Who is at the door"? Her stepmother’s voice was heard.

    "Is Jehovah's witness," Bridget said.

"And what is Christy doing there with them? Close my door and come here, " she said walking.

 to the door.

"Please go, my mother is coming". Paul turns to leave, but the mother opens the door.

     "Who are you?"

Paul turns around to face her.

    "Hey.., is you again?"

     "Yes, ma".

"Come in," she invited him in. Paul hurriedly walks inside.

"You look more handsome than before." The mother said.

"Hahaha" Paul laughed. "Maybe because I ate at home before coming out."

"Really? that means you get more handsome with food, hahaha." They both laughed, except for Bridget and Christy.

"What is he doing here?" Bridget asks with a straight face.

"Hey.., is that how to treat a handsome visitor?" her mother asks bringing Bridget to sit close to Paul.

Christy was just looking at them without saying anything, and Paul could not take his eyes off Christy because it seems to him that Christy is now prettier than Bridget. But he could not say anything to her because it seems Christy has no voice in this house, and if he will be allowed to stay here for one more minute, then, he better not talk to Christy, so he turns his gaze back to Bridget.

"Don’t you like to see me in your house?"

"That is not what I'm saying. I'm only asking why you keep coming to our house."

"Stop asking such questions". her mother said, trying to cut Bridget off.
