4 Mid-year exams

After six months of being bullied.Now its finally time for our mid year examination.It's time we reap what we sow for the past months.Hope is really excited because she's been waiting for this moment. She's been spending sleepless night's studying . No more bullies it's just her and her books.She couldn't wait for schools to close so she can be away from this cruel bullies.

She wished if her family could visit a place where there's a big beach .She wish if there was a trip to a place where there's no people,a place like a forest ,where's there is no voices of people gossiping but there is sweet voices of birds singing.She's damn attracted to nature.Maybe a weekend away would do .She needs fresh air away from this pollution of the nearest mines.She wish this can actually happen but she parent's can never afford this because they have financial crisis.

While She was busy imagining things which will never happen. The class teacher enter's the classroom."Good morning class",Miss Ferguson greeting the class.The whole class,"morning teacher"."Can you all get ready to write you know the exam rules",Miss Ferguson said.While she was getting ready,taking out my writing tools she noticed that she forgot her pen at home.

"Is everybody ready to write?"The teacher asked.Hope wasn't actually ready to write but she was scared to tell her. Counting 1.2.3..4..5 go,okay you got this Hope ."Teacher I don't have a pen",Hope says. "Who in this world insane, has ever came to write his or her first examination without the writing tool?",she asked. She eventually shouted," get out of my class come back once you find a pen".Hope slowly went out of the class without a plan.

Learner's have already began with their examinations besides Hope .While wandering outside,One of teacher's saw her and called her ,Hope went straight to her. "Good morning Mrs Smith" ,she greets Miss Smith with her tiny voice."Morning young lady and what are you doing outside while other learners are busy writing "? "I don't have a pen so I was told to leave the class ",Hope replied.

The teacher then directed her to another class and ask for someone to borrow me a pen.Hope slowly went to that class which the teacher pointed .Hope arrived there and found that there was this teacher in the class.Hope went straight to her and told her that she's borrowing a pen because I forgot her's at home.

The teacher replies,"sorry I don't borrow learners my pens because they don't return them." Okay thank you teacher",Hope replied disappointed. She left the class wandering around again without writing.While she was worried and dissapointed there's this guy who came to her." Hello girl",he halled her. Hope greets him back,"hey".I heard your conversation with our teacher would you mind if I assit you? "Yes please help me I need a pen and am already 30minutes late for writing". "Okay here is the pen,am Leon by the way". "Am hope ,nice to know you but I have to rush am already late for the exams".Hope quickly rushed back to the class .She simply sat down and started writing the 2hrs paper.

After writing this weird flashbacks stucked in her mind about the guy she met . She walked straight to his classroom to return the pen." Thank you,you are such a life saver" ,

Hope said to him.He replied,"It's not a big deal was just trying to assit you ". While Hope was giving him back the pen,it fell down and we both bend to pick it up.While bending we looked straight into each other's eyes .Hope was shy,quickly looked down and ran off. She didn't even try to look back .Was this first love?

After two weeks of writing it was already time for schools to close, everyone is excited .This time Hopewill be away from the cruel bullies for 3 weeks .She was so excited because she knew that there's no place like home.At home it's where peace exist. Even though she knew that schools will re-open again.She did not focus on that fact .She started to imagine how her life would be without going to school.In her imagination she only imagined this perfect life like being indoors,playing video games while eating a lot of food and also taking long naps .She was gonna be away from these boring teacher's,no eight hours of long classes,no homeworks and no extra classes. Shr will be refreshing my mind and healing from the heart break and what she went through .She focused only on the positive things that would be taking place during the holidays.She even forgot the guy who borrowed her the pen and she will never recognize his face even though she still have this flashbacks.

Other children often find peace at schools but for me it was another story.While she was in class she heard some of her classmates discussing about how they were worried about the fact that they will be at home for the whole three weeks dealing with all the negative effects like abusive parents, Alcoholic parents,gender based violence,woman and children abuse,etc for my side I was so excited.

It's school knock off time already.Hope quickly

grabbed her schoolbag and went out of the class immediately .Hope is outside now, only waiting for the school gate to get opened.She had to wait until all classes were dismissed. After a long time of waiting .The gate was finally opened.Hope ran towards my transport. While she was about to step in the bus,the most feared school bully shoved her and she fell.This time around someone offered to help her to stand up.It was their school bus driver.He then adviced her to start fighting for herself,or else she will suffer for her whole life.she always knew that she must fight for herself but I never had the courage to fight for herself.He then told her about what he once went through.

This is what he told Hope,"When I was at your age doing grade 10,It was my first year at the highschool."I went through the following:" I arrived in my class,the teacher introduced me infront of the whole class and told the class to make me feel welcome and comfortable,when I was about to sit down someone pulled the chair and I fell,I was so embarrassed but I couldn't cry because man don't cry". "During break time,the same guy took my money and went to spend it"."It was my first day at school,but I told myself I won't let anyone take me for granted,I then came up with a plan to embarrass him"."The next day he came to me to collect my lunch money again,that when I shove him and beat up the hell out of him". "From that day he never ever tried to disturb my peace,I fought for myself so do so or else you will suffer forever or start to hate school".

Hope thanked him for the advise and promised to stand up for herself.
