1 Little Cat

His emerald snake like eyes pierced through me. The forest was dark and yet all I could focus on were his eyes. I took in a deep breath standing as quietly as possible with my ears flat against my head.

"Hello there, little cat" His voice sharp with almost a natural seductive tone to it. His large snake tail replacing where his legs would be, slithered closer. I gasped quietly slamming my back against the tree behind me. My body was shaking in fear as he moved closer.

'I'm not going to die. Not like this' I thought to myself and in a flash my claws were extended and I went to claw his face but I felt his hand grab my wrist. His cold firm, yet gentle hand kept it's grasp as he leaned closer.

"Don't ever do that again. Don't you understand? I'm trying to help you" He whispered, his voice soft and calming almost. I blinked slightly surprised almost frozen in place.

"W-what?" I asked confused.

He pressed his finger gently against my lips. "I won't let him hurt you" He murmured and started to back away. I tilted my head slightly staring at him. My heart raced in my chest, but I stayed calm and nodded. He smiled slightly and in an instant he was gone. A moment later I heard a loud thud and a snake hissing.

"He was mine first! Get your own meal!" I heard a male voice hiss. "Not happening" I heard the familiar voice say calmly. I heard a few more thuds, hisses and grunts.

"He's mine" The familiar voice stated.

My eyes widened 'He's going to eat me' I thought to myself and began running. I ran as far and fast as I could passing the trees.

I gasped as he flashed in front of me. In an instant I go to slap him but once again he caught my wrist. "Wanna try that again, little cat?" He asked glaring down at me slightly.

"W-who? What do you want!" I exclaimed pulling away. He rolled his eyes and glanced at a snake bite on my arm. My tail flicked slightly furrowing my brows.

"I'm trying to help you, little cat" He stated calmly.

Before I could say anything I felt my eyes growing sleepy. I started to wobble a bit as I stepped back holding my head. A moment later I felt his hands comfortably on my waist holding me up. I groaned quietly and passed out falling into his arms.
