ROUGH BEGINNINGS

The red film lights gave the club a touch of ominous sight, which was the way he liked it.

Chase preferred being secluded from the crowd, and that is why he would always be thankful to her.

Just as he was thinking about her, she waved at him from the top floor, while he smiled at her in response.

Quietly, he took the elevator, which took him to the uppermost floor.

Just as the elevator clicked open, he saw her standing by the entrance, smiling at him sheepishly.

The surrounding guards bowed to him.

"Good to see your boss!" they all said in unison.

"So good to see you, she came to him with arms wide open for an embrace, which he quickly took."

Seeing how small she looked made him chuckle."

"Why are you laughing at me now?"

Azalea said, gazing up at him, with her hands still around him.

"Nothing, you just look like a little puppy fitting for a bag to carry along with me."

He said, towering over her. Azalea gave him a funny glare, which made chase chuckle even more.

"Okay, I pray you find a woman you would so much be in love with, but guess what?"

"What?" He asked curiously while she gave him a devilish smirk.

"She will be as small as me!"

She said in a whisper, but enough for him to catch her words.

He rolled his eyes at her, not believing what she said.

"That will never happen, Azalea. You know me, I'm not interested in the ladies."

While he was saying that, Azalea mimicked him silently because it was something he always said when it comes to the matter of women.

He walked into the bar and sat at a spot where he could view the whole club.

Chase made himself comfortable on the chair with two seats, so high and facing the club so he could see everything that's going on.

"So how's it going with business?"

"It hasn't been better boss. You can see for yourself the crowd we record every day.

Though there are some unsettling issues."

Chase raised his brow at Azalea, wondering what she was talking about.

"What happened?"

Just then, Saint brought in a glass of tequila for chase since that was his favorite drink to have whenever he came around.

"There have been some suspicious activities going around some groups of mafias, and it so happens that they come here almost everyday to drink and guess what?"

"I'm listening."

"Just last night, they had a big fight and a member was killed in the club."

"What!? why didn't you inform me about it Azalea? I've told you so many times to always call when things like this happens!"

Chase had become so very pissed that he hit his fist so hard on the table.

"I'm so sorry boss, i didn't want to bother you about everything that's happened."

"And there you go again with the boss."

Azalea hung her head low sadly.

"I'm sorry brother."

"That's more like it, and next time, inform me about everything that's going on in the club, do you understand?"

Azalea gave a yes nod, quickly.

Azalea and Chase had been living alone without parents and this was because eight years ago their father was killed by a trusted friend who turned an enemy and rival

She was just ten years old when the incident occurred, and being that Chade was the only family sgechsd, he hsd been taking care of her alone.

Before their father finally died, he asked her brother Chase to always be there for her. She was little but she could remember her father's last words.

Ever since then, her brother always gut her back. While he did his job, she helped to manage his club house. She had grown in the club house, so she knows practically everything about the club.

When her brother's friend betrayed him, by killing their parents she could tell just how broken her brother became.

It was terrible because her brother never had a close friend, he was the only close friend he had and the only friend who betrayed him.

Azalea went about her business happily after welcoming her brother back to the club.

CHASE

Azalea is a cheerful girl who never got weighed down by anything.

He had watched her grow into a woman and he's just noticing it now.

A young hunk she served drinks winked at her and she seemed to be laughing sheepishly and that pissed him off.

Can't these little pricks control their little lustful dick? At this rate, it won't take long before they bust into her.

The thought alone freaked him out. To him, she's still that little girl of ten whom he had been taking care of, though he's 26 but to him Azalea was more like a daughter or say his little baby sister.

Just as he was contemplating on what to do? His long time buddy, Nathaniel approached him.

He looked a little old but still very strong and agile.

"Hey Chase nice to see you.Nice to see you at the club today"

"Thank you Nate."

He smiled at the old man who made himself comfortable on the search Azalea occupied initially.

He couldn't help but admire Nathaniel. If it wasn't for him, maybe he would have been dead by now, considering the fight that took his father's life, seven years ago.

"Have you heard about the guy who was killed last night?"

"That's exactly what i wanted to talk about."

"Have an idea who those men were?"

Nathaniel paused his lips, as he seemed to be in deep thoughts.

"I have no idea, but I have to to warm you up Chase. You've got to be very careful, things are getting sticky around here."

"I will be careful Nate. Thanks for having my back."

"You know you can always count on me, Chase. Anytime."

Chase smiled. He was glad that despite the betrayal he faced from the one he called his friend.
