Jinhai sat at the far end of a bar seeping from a glass of wine as he thought about what to do with his life now, as well as what to do with what he had just discovered about his mother.

He checked the time on his wristwatch and sighed when he saw that it was past 6PM already. Travelling was out of his options now since his flight was probably long gone already.

He had gone home two hours earlier after texting Yun, just to go say goodbye to his mother and out of courtesy, say goodbye to his stepfather before leaving for the airport, but he had met them in the middle of a misunderstanding, arguing over something he didn't really know about, but he suspected it had something to do with Yun and Lijuan.

"You are supposed to be on my side!" Madam Wang had yelled at her husband as Jinhai stepped inside the house.
