I'm her boyfriend.

"I regret coming to this club that night. All of these wouldn't have happened." Lijuan said with a smile as she looked at the direction Yun had been sitting which was now occupied by another man.

"Forget the jerk! Let's go and dance. We will dance with every damn guy in here to show them we are better than them. Let's go." Shan said to Lijuan as they both clicked glasses.

"Yessssssss! Let's dance." Lijuan agreed rising up from her seat to join Shan on the dance floor.

Neither of them realized that they had actually called Yun and he had heard the entire conversation.. and neither did they notice Jinhai who sat with his back to them.

It had been by mere coincidence that he sat just at the next table. He hadn't been paying attention until he heard them mention his brother's name that was when he turned and recognized her. He stopped paying attention to the friends he was sitting with and focused on them instead.

Jinhai felt very angry and ashamed of his brother at that moment. How could Yun be so insensitive as to tell her he pitied her to her face? If Yun was in front of him he probably would have punched him. Just probably, he didn't want to get beaten by Yun. Yun was a really skilled fighter.

Jinhai watched as they danced on the dancefloor. His eyes fell on Shan. She was a good friend and was glad Lijuan had her.

So Yun doesn't like her huh? Jinhai asked himself and frowned when a guy held Lijuan by the waist as they danced. He quickly took a picture of them before Lijuan pushed his hand away and forwarded the picture to Yun.

***********

Sleep disappeared from Yun's eye. How was he supposed to sleep when he realised he had hurt someone's feeling and that same person was getting drunk in a club where her bodyguard was not around.

Who was the other person with her? He couldn't remember her mentioning a friend but he felt pleased knowing there was someone else apart from her mother who also loved and accepted her the way she was. And maybe the rest of them needed to learn from that friend.

Since Jackie was not around how was she going to get home in that drunken state? Her friend was drunk too... wouldn't they be taken advantage of? Two single women in a club at this time of the night? Yun shook it off.

He didn't like to meddle in other people's affair. He didn't want to be insulted some more for involving himself with her. He would simply wait for her to find his pen, then take his pen from her and disappear from her life for good. The earlier they ended this awkward relationship the better for everyone involved. Yun convinced himself and turned to sleep when his phone beeped again.

Now what? He asked himself again in exasperation before picking up his phone. It was a message from Jinhai, he quickly opened it and saw a picture of someone holding Lijuan's waist.

Jinhai added a little caption 'You really called her pitiful? This is on you.'

He could literally hear Jinhai's scoff. He pressed the heel of his hands on his temples as he felt the begining of a throbbing headache.

No, not my business. He told himself. But his body had a mind of its own and before he knew it, he was dressed up in his car and driving to the club which he was quite familiar with. It was the same one he met her where she took his pen.

"Get your stinking hands off me!" Lijuan yelled at a guy who was trying to grope her. She liked the idea of dancing, but she wasn't comfortable with being touched by them.

"Or what? You're drunk and in the club without a man.. I can do anything." The guy whispered in her ear as he ran a hand on her face.

"Take your hands off her this instant!" Shan told the guy drunkenly but he simply chuckled and pushed her away.

Jinhai angrily stood up when he saw what was going on but before he could get to them he saw Yun striding towards the dancefloor. He smiled inwardly and decided to sit back and enjoy the show.

Pity? Nah, he didn't think so. Yun could fool himself and everyone else but certainly not him.

"Get. Your. Filthy. Hands. Off. Her." Yun said counting his words slowly in a very calm voice.

"Who are you?" The guy challenged, looking Yun over to determine if he could beat him or not.

"I'm her boyfriend. Now get your hands off my woman!" Yun said scowling at him in a really mean way which made the guy swear loudly at them before walking away to find his next victim.

"Eh? Boyfriend?" Lijuan asked drunkenly, turning to look into Yun's face. "Monkey head?" She asked not sure if it was really him or she was seeing things.

"Yes... Let's get you home." Yun said and frowned when he realised he had just admitted to being 'monkey head.'

"It's really monkey face?" Shan asked in surprise. Where the hell did he come from?

"It's head, not monkey face, monkey head." Lijuan corrected Shan as both began to giggle.

Yun ignored them as he scanned the club with his eyes until his eyes landed on Jinhai who was watching him with an amused expression on his face which made Yun glare at him.

"Let's go." Yun said immediately Jinhai joined them.

"Go where? I'm not going anywhere with you, you arrogant prude!" Lijuan said drunkenly.

"Yes! We are not going anywhere until you apologise to her." Shan said nodding her head in support.

Lijuan also nodded in support of what Shan just said.

"Yeah! I think you should apologise!" Jinhai added with a smile but his eyes was fixed on Shan.

"I will apologize.. but this is not the right place to do so. Let's at least go outside first." He said after a few seconds.

"You are really going to apologize?" She asked while looking at him wearily.

"Yes." He said and began to lead her out while Jinhai helped Shan outside.

"So....?" Lijuan said when they both got outside and close to his car.

Yun breathe in deeply. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean that."

"Really?" She asked giving him a hopeful look.

"Yes.. I do not think you are pitiful. I just wanted to treat you to Lunch because I thought you must have had a tough time looking for my pen." He explained as he helped her rest her back on his car.

"So... you really do not think I am pitiful?" She asked with a broad smile.

"Of course not. You are the last person on earth who I think is pitiful. I mean.. you are very tough and difficult and scary and...."

Lijuan interrupted him with a happy laugh.

"Yes.. I am really all of that." She said proudly, making him laugh.

He had never seen anyone who was this happy to hear bad things about them.

"I am sorry too..." She said with a smile.

"And... you have a prettier head than a monkey's"

"I do not think that is a compliment." He said with a frown.

"Oh yes it is! It's very difficult for me to give out compliments.. you must be lucky.." She said while winking and giving him finger hearts.

Yun looked at her weirdly as he tried not to laugh.

'She's cute when drunk' He said to himself.
