10 Chapter 10: A Date?

Tension filled the house as Madison, Liam and I stood awkwardly in our respective positions still trying to process what had just happened.

I turned to look at Liam who immediately diverted his gaze downwards as he bit his lips.

Madison on the other hand was as red as a tomato with her hands balled into fists, she was obviously still trying to bottle up her anger towards Simon, which led to my conclusion that the two rabbits were actually dating. Well I guess not anymore now.

I looked back and forth between the two statue-like figures and shrugged, I suppose they aren't ready to move or talk like normal humans.

I walked out of the living room and headed directly towards the kitchen in hopes of finding anything I could nibble on,

My heart grew as I found a piece of toast layed on a plate on top of the counter, I rushed towards it in excitement and almost grabbed it but was rudely interrupted by Madison.

"Don't you dare touch my food"

I turned towards a frowning Madison who had her hands crossed across her chest and was leaning against the doorway

"I am not Simon remember?"

She shrugged airily.

I blew out a breath of frustration and walked past her, knocking her shoulder with mine in the process. Her indifferent attitude when she's angry can be really insufferable sometimes.

My stomach rumbled as I trudged towards my room, I can possibly die of hunger if I don't get something to eat.

"You owe me"

I whipped my head back at the sound of Liam's voice. He stood tall behind me, his hands resting on either sides of his waist as he looked down at me, strands of his long hair laying on his forehead.

"You look like a grandpa scolding his granddaughter" I snorted, he looked funny with his stance.

"Yh funny" he deadpanned after a moment.

I ignored him and walked towards my room, Liam followed closely behind me as we entered my room, I stopped momentarily in my tracks and turned to face him.

My mind drifted off to yesterday night as I remembered telling Liam that I owed him, taking into account he did so much yesterday I won't deny the fact.

"Ok so what do you want?" I said, giving him a bored look.

"Dinner" he simply stated with a smile.

"Erm, that's surprising" I said, my face twisted in surprise.

"What's surprising about that?" he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"You know, I expected some kind of daunting task from you" I looked up at him with a cheeky smile.

"Who said it isn't a daunting task" letting out a chuckle, he walked further into my room and plopped himself unto the bed.

"What do you mean" I turned to face Liam who was now sprawled on my bed, his head propped up on one elbow as he gazed at me with a little smirk playing on his thin lips.

Sighing deeply, he rolled out of the bed and walked towards me,

"I want you to be my date"

I blinked, "What?"

Liam took my hands in his "Brianna, I know this is gonna be hard for you but please I really need you to be my date for tonight's dinner"

"Wait, tonight?" I shrieked.

"Well yes, my mom arrived yesterday and I promised her dinner with my supposed girlfriend who thought cheating was fun and seeing as I have no suitable candidate, I want you to be my fake girlfriend just for today" he was squeezing my hands so tight by the time he was done with his rant.

I snatched my hand from his grip "Look, this is really going to be difficult because I know literally nothing about you much less your mom, and I know for sure that it's going to be a disaster" I reasoned out.

Liam stared down at me with a creepy smile, "How about we play 20 question, that way I get to know you, you get to know me"

"Well that isn't a bad id-"

"ok, so you ask me questions" he loudly spoke up, shutting me up in the process.

"Uh, I am yet to agree whether to be your date or not" I placed my index finger over my chin and tapped in a rythym as I smirked.

Liam grinned and folded his arms "OK will you please be my date" he pleaded.

"Well... " I drawled, obviously trying to taunt him.

He blew out a frustrated breath "Just say yes already"

I laughed "okay fine"

"Yes!" Liam let out an inhuman squeal as he punched the air.

"Thank you so much, this means a lot" he said, feigning a sniffle as he briefly hugged me.

"So what's next" I walked past him and plopped myself on the bed.

"This is stupid, and isn't going to work" Madison remarked.

"That's what I tried to tell him, but he wouldn't listen" I inserted with a shrug as I applied a little bit of eye shadow.

It was already evening, the day had gone by pretty fast after a lot of bickering between the two siblings because of stupid Simon, they couldn't even sit in the same room together without starting up a fight, I tried to resolve their issue at some point but got fed up when the two strong headed idiots didn't want to make up and hug.

Liam and I got to know each other just a little bit, he told me about his mom and kept on asking questions about Jax to which I gave vague answers to. He thankfully left my room when he got bored of my answers, I spent the rest of the day eating, reading and listening to music.

"Just turn him down now, so mom would see no girl actually wants to hung around him" Madison said, a scowl etched on her face.

"I can't turn him down, he has helped me a lot and that's the least I could do" I declared as I stood and walked towards my wardrobe.

"Ugh, you're so soft, I want to smack you" Madison rolled her eyes as she walked out of the room.

"Whatever, you can't changed my mind" I shouted as she banged my door shut.

I sighed and plucked out my dress from the wardrobe. It was a black lacy bodycon dress Liam had helped me in picking after a bit of an argument, I never knew Liam could be annoying.

I was done with my makeup and hair, I changed into the black body on dress which showed off my curves in all the right places, it fitted perfectly like second skin. I slipped on my prettiest pair of black 3-inch stilettos heels, finally done, I glanced at the mirror and sighed in content, satisfied with what my results, I picked up my purse and walked out of the room.

Ready?" Liam stood at the other side of door leaning on the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Yh ready, how do I look" I asked with a smile as I twirled around.

"Uh, you look great" he said, a bit flustered as he slowly unfolded his arms, cleared his throat and stood up straight.

I chuckled at his predicament "you don't look bad yourself" I nudged his arm with my elbow, trying to lighten the moment.

He wore a dark blue tuxedo and his hair was jelled to the side

I fixed my arms in his as we walked towards the living room. Madison was seated on the couch remote in hands as she nibbled on a popcorn. I was still wondering why Madison wasn't going to join us owing to the fact that she and Liam were siblings.

"Why isn't Madison joining us" I suddenly asked,

Madison who still had her gaze glued to the television responded "I don't want to"

I gave Liam a quizzical look and shrugged "uh ok". Why on earth isn't she going to see her mom?

"well we are leaving" Liam announced.

"Don't care" Madison replied.

"Lock the door and don't let anyone in" Liam added before shutting the door.

Liam and I walked down the porch, the sky was dark as a slate, lucky enough the weather wasn't as cold as I expected.

"Why isn't she coming with us" I suddenly asked.

"She and mom aren't really on good terms" he said opening the door of the passenger's seat as I hoped in.

I was tempted to ask what happened but didnt want to further stick my nose into their business so I kept my mouth shut.

Liam entered the car and we drove off.
