Chapter 02 : The changes in the life of little daniel

Story Starts Here

"Hmmm." Seeing him faint in his mindscape makes me rethink my choice, but you know what they say: there's no use crying over spilled milk.

"So anyway, here I am, watching him and waiting for him to wake up. I've already taken control of his new body, and this feeling is like I can fight a bear and win easily."

As I was thinking, I see him move. I release the control, and he awakens in the new body. Watching him react like that is both amusing and foolish.

So, I speak up. "Fatty, stop doing that," as I say in his head. He looks around, seeing no one .

He thinks it must be his imagination.

Little Daniel : "As I look around, I feel too good in this body. I feel like I can..." As then his monologuing is interrupted by system.

system :"Fight and beat anyone, but don't get ahead of yourself. See, your fat body can also be like this one if only you trained hard."

Hearing my voice, he starts to look around. Seeing him like this, I sigh to myself. I have a lot of work to do if I want to get him into perfect shape, both physically and mentally. Now is not the time to think about his IQ. It's time to introduce myself.

System : "Hey Daniel, nice to meet you. I am you, but not exactly you. Seeing you, you're liking the new body, right?"

As he responds with a yes, I know that if he didn't have me, he would have been switching bodies all night.

Now, with all that out of the way, I take over the new body and send him back to the old one.

Little Dainel : I feel I returned to my old body, I feel heavy and tired. As the new body starts getting up, I am scared. Will he fight me? Will he beat me? Will he bully me?"

I snap my fingers to get him back.

System : "Back to reality, Daniel, you need hard work and discipline to get in shape like this."

As he wakes up from his daze, he asks, "Who are you?"

This is going to be a hassle to explain to him, but here we go anyway.

System : "Dainel, no, listen carefully. I am you, but not exactly you at the same time."

As he stares at me, looking bewildered, I shout at him. "Hey, what's with that look? Wanna fight?"

"NO, NO, NO," Dainel explains, "I am also surprised that you're me. Looking at you, you look like a celebrity."

Yes, praise me more; I know I am cool. But this is not the time for praise; it's time to change this fatty into a force to be reckoned with.

After explaining to him that I am here to change him and introducing the system to him, he looks at me as if I'm a madman. As my forehead veins become visible, I say, "Hey, what's with that look? Wanna die, fatty?"

"No," he exclaims. Now, as I was explaining to him...

"I am a system that can give you quests, and if you complete them, you can get rewards. The higher the difficulty, the higher the reward."

I show him the first quest to change.

"I cannot do that; I will die," he says. I reply, "What about Logan? Do you think you can run forever? What if he comes to Seoul? What if he transfers like you? What will you do then? Tell me, run back like a coward?"

He looks at me angrily and says, "Logan will not come here, and even if he does, I will..."

"You will what?" I ask. "Run, leaving all troubles instead of facing them like a man?"

"As I was saying, if you can complete this quest, you will get a reward, but if you fail, you will find out. But you've got to get a move on; you only have 12 hours to complete the quest, and the penalty might be your life or your manhood."

After saying that, Dainel's eyes show a fire that was never seen before. Dainel Park, who never exercised, was exercising like there was no tomorrow.

"Hmmmm, sometimes you just need some great motivation to push yourself to get good," I thought to myself while lying on the floor, watching Dainel sweat buckets.

As I know tomorrow is his first day at J High School. Anyway, he completed his quest, and what might be the reward, I am asking myself. Seeing him do all that in his fat body.

"Hey, Dainel, this is a small mark for you. You will become the greatest if you keep going."

Then the quest completion sound happened.

He asks, confused. Wait, did you ever play a game? Status is for a player to see their strengths, speed, endurance, intelligence, and last but not least, vitality.

"Now, check your stats."

"How do I check my own status?" asks Dainel, confused. I sigh and say, "Just say 'status.'"

"Wow, you're weak," I say to Dainel.

"Dainel answers with sadness, 'I know.'"

"Hey, cheer up; now you have me. We will definitely change you, and you will become the greatest in the whole of Seoul."

"Really?" Dainel asks in a teary voice.

I reply with all seriousness, "YES," but remember, greatness never comes overnight; you must train and get strong.

"Now, you will go to school, and I will train and keep checking on your little body."

He looks at me and says, "School, remembering all the bullying and other stuff I had to endure."

I put a hand on his shoulder due to our height difference. I crouch and say, "Dainel, are you forgetting something?"

He looks at me, confused. "Hey, you have a second body that you can use when I am not in control."

"Understand," he says, looking excited. Before he asks anything, I say, "Yes, you will use this body to go to school."
