96 Chapter 96: The trouble magnet, Asuma.

Hinata was lost in thought, the entire way back to the Land of Fire.

After getting a description of what happened to Hinata, Hachiro sighed.

"They may as well be delivery men."

He lamented in pity, that he didn't bring Hanabi.

It might not have been possible, but what if she also got a pair of tenseigan?

She had the pure byakugan required for it so there was a chance that would have been possible.

The two looked up and found a massive red kite bird swooping down in their direction.

Hinata cheerfully forgot about her worries and said, "Hello Akemi!"

The summoning beasts of the Uchiha were generally birds.

Shisui and Itachi Uchiha, frequently used crows.

Sasuke Uchiha had an eagle, while Izumi had a Red Kite. (A random red bird, I found on google.)

Hachiro held his arm out and the bird landed on it, a secret letter was tied to its leg.

He unravelled it and read its contents causing him to rub his temple.

"Is it that hard to keep your children on a leash."

Hinata looked at him questioningly.

"Dad?"

Hachiro handed her the letter and gave the summon a pet on the head.

"Can you please inform, Izumi and the others I will be over right away."

With a loud cry, the Scarlet bird took off and returned to the sky.

Soon, it disappeared North-west.

A few hours later.

Hachiro and Hinata took a detour and met up with Pakura and her team of Anbu.

Genkei followed not far behind with his group of cyclops currently holding a blindfold over one of their eyes.

Genkai had someone tied up with rope over his shoulder, upon arrival, he threw him on the ground between the three.

Thud!

"Hachiro!!!"

The tied up man, was Asuma.

Regardless of the sensibility of roaring at your capture, he did so with rage.

"Behave!"

Genkai kicked him onto the ground, causing him to eat dirt.

Hachiro looked strangely at him, he didn't have his forehead protector on or anything that could link to Konoha.

He couldn't comprehend how this idiot thought that would help, he was obviously the Hokage's son.

Hachiro asked baffled.

"So what's happening exactly?"

Pakura exchanged glances with two of her subordinates and said,

"I had broken my squad into pairs to hide our tracks. However, these two found the Hokage's son going the same direction you had been going with Hinata."

Izumi awkwardly scratched the back of her masked head.

"We thought he might have been trying to interfere with our plans, but he was the Hokage's last child, so we didn't kill him."

"Turns out, after throwing him in a genjutsu and asking about that, it was a misunderstanding. It was pure coincidence that he was going in the same direction."

Hachiro wasn't too sure what to say about that.

Asuma raised his head and with a fire in his soul, he screamed at him again.

"What do you want in our country!?"

Even if he struggled to let go of the past, he wasn't stupid enough to not realise there was something suspicious about two Anbu squads from the Cloud hovering around the Leaf.

Genkei grabbed him by the back of the head and slammed his face into the dirt again.

"Shut."

His rebellious streak was going on as he retorted.

"What ar-"

Genkei slapped him across the face with enough force to knock out a few teeth.

"Shut."

Hachiro stared at him for a moment before deciding on a temporary solution.

"Look after him for a while. On the day of the finals, write a letter to the Daimyo of the Land of Fire and send him over."

Izumi blinked and looked at him in confusion.

"Wouldn't he warn the Leaf about the attack?"

Hachiro rolled his eyes and pointed at her.

She looked at him blankly before realising what he meant. "Oh right... sharingan."

He felt speechless, that's your greatest weapon and your forgetting about it?

Pakura had a pen and paper in her hands as she asked, "Anything specific you want me to write?"

For most ninja, it would be hard to improve drastically in a short month.

But for the reincarnation of ninja jesus, Naruto Uzumaki, he had gotten himself a summoning technique and some basic understanding of the nine tails chakra.

Sasuke was learning a top tier lightning jutsu, the chidori.

Out of them all though, Hinata had acquired a blessing from her ancestor, giving her access to a storage of Otsutsuki chakra.

And using that chakra, she also obtained a dojutsu upgrade, the Tenseigan.
