57 Chapter 57: Who wants cand-I meant Sharingan

Mei looked at him curiously,

"So what happened?"

"The Uchiha are furious and suspect the elders behind Shisui's death. They want to rebel and asked the Hyuga clan if they wanted to Join forces."

Hachiro sat down beside her.

It seems like because of the trouble he caused in Konoha the Uchiha had gotten even more violent and suspicious of the elders than in the original.

Even if its a only a slight difference, situations can develop completely differently than they were meant to.

The death of Shisui had caused the Radicals to calm down and start thinking more about the process of rebelling than just 'make the Leaf suffer'.

The incident where Sasuke, the clan leader's son was almost given to the Cloud like any old bargaining material was probably just what they needed to explode.

He gave Mei a kiss and said,

"Do you want to go public?"

He had planned to publicize his relationship with Mei more than once.

Although, he was slightly afraid of Samui's reaction, he didn't want to hurt either of them.

Ahem, I feel like a scumbag~

He was doing this out of kindness! Wouldn't want Terumi Mei to have to worry about her wedding date in her late 40s years time, would he?

Along that line of thinking, Tsunade —

Keke... nevermind, gotta stop doing that.

Mei bit him on the neck with a sly expression.

"No need, I'll wait for a bit longer~"

Okay? Not that I understand why you want to wait.

Unless you're technically still a girl in your understanding until you finally marry.

That sounds confusing as hell in my head, I guess I should just note it down as a woman thing.

"Yeah. That's what I said. The Uchiha want to join forces with the Hyuga clan and rebel. Hiashi asked for advice and what we plan to do about it."

Hachiro yawned and explained it twice to everyone.

He was tired, calling a meeting at midnight may have not been the best idea.

Tutai said emotionally,

"If the Hyuga and Uchiha really join forces and rebel at the same time it may be enough to trigger a Fourth Ninja War. They're two of the strongest clans in the world."

Yugito's hair was messy from getting up in the middle of the night and mumbled to herself amusingly.

"Konoha seems to spend longer fighting themselves than others..."

Contrary to everyone else the Fourth Raikage was enthusiastic as always.

"Yes! This is the perfect chance we've been waiting for! With the Uchiha and Hyuga launching a coup, we can attack Konoha from the outside. Applying the pressure from both the inside and outside, Konoha is bound to crack!"

Tutai asked rhetorically,

"Can we take down the Land of Fire in one swoop?"

Hearing his words they snapped back to reality.

This wasn't something that just involved Military might, the other nations would never watch on as they gained more strength.

They would try to grab a piece of the pie and if that didn't work, they would ally with each other and wage war on them.

They'd be stuck in a bad spot if that happened.

The might of three major villages and countless smaller ones was not to be looked down upon.

"As I said previously. Weakening the other countries benefits us, but if we get drawn into the conflict and end up weaker ourselves than we will have made a loss."

Hachiro stuck to his previous opinion.

The Raikage lamented,

"But... we might not get another opportunity like this. Are we really going to just hope that the future will present a better chance to us?"

"Cus, don't tell me you're yearning for a sharingan, right now?"

He considered the gorilla's fascination in all things bloodline related and made a guess.

The Raikage wasn't shy and admitted his interest.

"Haha~ I just don't want those Leaf bastards to get their hands on so many dojutsu. They'll be throwing them to suicide bombers. What a pity it will be when those eyes become bloody lumps on the ground~"

A good portion of those eyes probably went to Obito actually.

He muttered to himself, after clearing his throat. He looked around the meeting room and asked.

"Ahem, so who wants some fancy red eyes."

Samui, beside him looked rather attracted to the thought.

He grabbed her and forced her to sit on his knee.

"Aside from Samui, her eyes are too pretty to be replaced."

She forced a smile as her lip twitched. Although the sentiment was lovely, she would rather he didn't flirt with her in a serious meeting.
