51 Chapter 51: Not happening

In the Land of Wind, the village, hidden in the Sand.

After getting compensation from Konoha, Rasa, the Fourth kazekage was still very unhappy.

Even if Konoha had apologised their reputation was badly effected.

The news of Hiruzen Sarutobi's son and daughter-in-law dying to iron sand spread faster than a wildfire.

Many powerful and wealthy businessmen had left Sunagakure or had expressed that they would stop entrusting high-level missions to them.

They lost a large part of their economies income that the village relied on to survive.

Even if the Hokage afterwards did apologise, they did the only logical thing and suspect them.

No one else has a clan with the magnet style kekkai genkai, so who else could they blame.

In the foreseeable future, they would have to try and find some other way to make up for the lose.

"Damn it! Who was it?!"

Rasa clenched his fists and beat the table.

He grit his teeth.

He didn't believe that the Third Kazekage had suddenly resurrected after going missing for ten years.

Rather, he was more prone to believe a shinobi from their small Kazekage clan had an offspring with someone outside of Sunagakure.

Knock~ Knock~

Hearing someone approach, he took a deep breath and hid his emotion behind an expressionless mask.

"Come in!"

The office door opened and Pakura revealed herself.

He frowned, personally they didn't see eye to eye.

She disagreed with his methods of ruling the village and opposed him on a few occasions.

So even though, she had a ridiculously strong bloodline limit he didn't try to train her to became one of his subordinates.

"Lord Kazekage, Gaara has killed two more students in the academy who called him a monster today."

Pakura walked in calmly.

"Huh~ As I thought, Gaara is a failure."

Rasa rubbed his temple while feeling anxious.

Pakura didn't feel a thing hearing his evaluation of his own child.

A time ago, she had been content obeying the missions assigned to her by her superiors.

But that changed after being given a task by the Kazekage himself.

A few weeks ago, Rasa sent his brother-in-law Yashamaru to assassinate Gaara.

This was a test to find out whether he had the potential to become a perfect jinchuriki.

When she first heard about it, she thought the Kazekage had been joking about this so called plan of his.

You call this a test?

Anyone could tell you're deliberately trying to stimulate him!

Suddenly, the words of Hachiro rang in her ears.

"Rasa is not someone you can trust."

Pakura shook her head vigorously and lamented that she couldn't get those words messing with her out of her head.

Baki came running into the office urgently and reported to the Kazekage.

"Lord Rasa, Kumogakure is here."

The shinobi village hidden in the clouds?!

Pakura showed a stern expression on her pretty face.

This is what she was afraid of.

According to Konoha's experience, envoy's of Kumogakure are actually bringers of calamity.

What the hell were the cloud trying to do here?

"Ask him to enter."

After responding, Rasa looked at Pakura and ordered.

"Retreat."

"Yes."

Although, she wanted to know what the Cloud were doing here, as a sand shinobi, she had to unconditionally obey the Kazekage's orders.

With a quick nod, she jumped out the window.

Soon, Tutai knocked on the door and entered into the Kage's office.

He gave him a salute to show respect and asked,

"Lord Kazekage, the Cloud's requests have already been stated clearly in our letter. When would you like to implement the plan?"

Rasa said coldly,

"Hmph, you think I'll hand over one of Sunagakure's bloodline limits just because you asked me too?"

Not long ago, Hachiro had wrote a letter in the Raikage's name and asked Tutai to go and flesh out the details in person.

He had thought about and came to the realization that she would be quite easy to poach.

Even though, he wanted to beat her up after that horrible experience, he forgave her because she had such a sad ending in the original.

That was also not forgetting Kumo would get a future kage-level shinobi and a bloodline which was what they lacked.

Of course, he added a few benefits for the Kazekage to entice him, Rasa would have probably agreed if he hadn't talked so arrogantly in the letter.

Rasa felt like his self-esteem was taking a hit after reading it the first time.

"Lord Kazekage, if you want to start a war, Kumogakure and Konoha would be more than happy to comply. Would Rasa-sama, like to test Sunagakure's mettle?"

The Raikage using his dog-like nose could smell a bargain coming from a mile away after hearing the sad treatment and relationship the distressed lady called miss Pakura had with her boss.

And like any good gentlemen, he made sure to convey his feelings of sympathy and told Tutai to save her from this wretched hellhole called Sunagakure.

"You-"

Rasa was close to smashing this envoy's head in.

Tutai smiled and said,

"Lord Kazekage, this can be an extremely simple matter. All you need to do is send Miss Pakura on a mission to assassinate the young master of the Raiden clan. Anyway, it's not like Miss Pakura has a proper bloodline, its merely a mutation. Why, not please our Young Master Raiden, he's quite the lascivious fellow."

"I'm sure Rasa-sama, knows which is the better option."

After finishing what he wanted to say, Tutai left.

Rasa beat the table again.

"Damn it! Those guys from the Cloud are so arrogant and conceited."

Baki kept silent.

The world revolved around the strong, and the strongest village currently was the cloud.

They had at least 3 kage-level ninja, with two being possible high-kages.

That alone could contend against two major villages before you even considered the two walking weapons, the perfect Jinchuriki, Killer Bee and Yugito-Nii

Complaining couldn't magically make their opponents weaker, they could only move on in life.

They would potentially have a chance if they teamed up with Konoha when the Fourth Hokage was still alive, but now...

It was practically impossible.

"Lord Rasa, what should we do with Pakura?.."

Baki cautiously asked for instructions.

After remembering how she tried to oppose him in the past, he squeezed his eyebrows and cruelly decided to give up on her.

"Fine, we'll give them her. She's not that obedient anyway. She'll probably give the cloud hell."

"However, take the opportunity to ask for more benefits. We'll need them with the current situation at hand."
