45 Chapter 45: Meeting a Hokage's son.

In the large venue, silence reigned surpreme.

Danzo tapped Hiruzen on the shoulder and coughed,

Hiruzen came back to his senses and shouted,

"I'm sorry, but it appears that we will have to temporarily suspend the exams final test. Please feel free to entertain yourselves inside our village for the meantime."

No one present really cared for the exam anymore.

A fourth Ninja world war was about to erupt so they needed to rush back and inform their village leaders about this shocking news.

Following Baki and Pakura's lead, the rest of the foreign shinobi scurried out of the Battle tower in a hurry.

Damn it, why did something so big have to happen the one time I leave the village!

Pakura walked closely beside Baki and asked in fear,

"Sensei, what should we do now?"

Cold sweat fell from Baki's forehead as he said,

"I will get my summoning beast to send news back to the village. You... try to find a way to obtain the clouds cooperation."

If they really fought Konoha, they had no chance of winning.

If they managed to drag in the other major villages they might at least have a chance.

It would be even better in the end, if they could at least ally with the cloud.

"Yes!"

She nodded in response.

Baki hesitated for a moment before adding,

"Try to agree no matter how demanding he is. As a young master he's probably going to be hard to persuade."

"... I see... Okay."

Pakura understand what Baki was hinting at,

Even if it came to that she would agree for the sake of her village...

Soon after only the shinobi from Konoha were left, Hiruzen took a deep breath and shouted.

"Immediately notify everyone in the village to meet in the meeting room on the top floor of my residence.

By everyone he meant those involved in making decisions for the village.

It was mostly composed of clan leaders and wealthy merchants exclusive to Konoha.

Of course, the four elders had the most say, so if they unanimously agreed on the same thing then it wouldn't be possible to overwrite their decision.

"Itachi, go back and make sure Sasuke is safe."

Fugaku said solemnly,

"Father..."

Itachi frowned as he looked at his father, the bro-con part of his soul was reacting violently.

Although, he was a firm believer in the will of Fire, there was no way in hell, he was ready to sacrifice his brother to gain an advantage in an undeclared war.

"I will entrust Sasuke to you."

Fugaku said while his mind was preoccupied with other things.

"...Yes."

Itachi lowered his head and looked at the ground.

Shisui patted on the shoulder as he was about to try comforting him,

"Don't worry, Hokage-sama... nevermind."

He remembered about what he had heard four years ago.

With the Hyuga as an example, it would be hard to hold hopes that the Hokage would treat the Uchiha better.

It seemed like this was going to fuel the conflict even further...

Despite, how anxious the many villages were that the Fourth Ninja War may break out, Hachiro and Mei were wandering around the bustling streets of Konoha.

These villagers with little importance in the village didn't know about the major event that had just occurred.

They were still living blissfully ignorant of the potentially impending war.

Samui personally didn't like showing off affection that other couples did in public, as such they didn't really go on dates together.

The only 'dates' they had were when they trained together.

Generally it ended in them practising their thrusting techniques...

He did like it though, on the other hand, Mei was the complete opposite.

A love bird that was happy enough just staring at him 24/7 and daydreaming.

After getting over her initial shyness, she was charging about leading him to the food stands.

They were currently in a snack bar as Mei happily fed him various sweet treats.

"Damn Demon fox! Go away!"

(My kidnapper senses are tingling!)

A yell interrupted their pleasant mood.

The two of them looked up and saw the snack bar's owner kicking a small kid with yellow hair.

The little boy had tears streaming down his face as his expression was a mix of despair and confusion.

"I have money! Why won't you let me eat?!"

"Hmph, you're going to chase all my customers away! Get out, you evil demon!"

The shop owner ruthlessly reinforced his leg with chakra before kicking him even harder.

The people around them watched with cold, unfeeling eyes.

A few of them even took pleasure in his misery and smiled.

They were whispering to each other saying that the child deserved it.

Mei frowned and took her attention off of Hachiro for a moment and walked over with some of the fruit she had bought and squatted down beside the kid.

"Here you go! Have this.

The blond looked up at her surprised, before the tears burst out even heavier.

The Shop owner looked angry and was about to berate Mei,

"Hey! That's the Nine Tailed Fox-"

"Pardon me~"

A hand grabbed him by the collar and threw him against the wall behind him.

"Oh, sorry about that. You were in the way."

Bang!

With a loud thud, the shop owner's upper half rammed through the wall causing him to dangle from both sides.

The residents in the bar were stunned.

The nearby Shinobi were about to try settling him when lightning started gathering around Hachiro.

He smirked and roared like thunder,

"What are you looking at?! Want a free trip to the wooden wall? I'd be happy to help with that!"

The visible concentration of thunder wreaked havoc and tore the bar to pieces.

It frightened civilian and ninja alike as they tried to make a run for it.

He didn't try to stop them and after throwing some threats, he looked at the kid Mei was comforting and took out some money.

The ryo was enough for a few weeks, he stuffed it into his pocket and dropped his wallet into the kids arms.

"Here, take it."

Hachiro took Mei's hand and said, "Let's go."

"Okay~"

She nodded and got up.

He had modified the seals on the wallet to recognise the kid as the owner, it would try to obstruct anyone without a similar chakra signature to the blond kid. He didn't think any Jonin with knowledge on Jinchuriki would try to steal that little bit of money

However, before they could leave through the front door of the bar, a group of people showed up.

kakashi, Might guy and Kurenai, he could see at a glance.

It caused him to grin,

"Hey, the way Konoha treats the children of hero's, sure is unique."

"Never seen anything like it!"

Note: I think I made a lot of grammar mistakes in this chapter so if you could point them out that would be great :)
