37 Chapter 37: Someone with a greater brainwashing technique than Hiruzen.

The genin sent by the three major villages managed to easily the first day of the Survival Assessment.

In fact, Itachi, Pakura and Mei found themselves having a rather easy time.

Oh, in case you were wondering two days ago, nothing much happened other than some sweet talking.

Couldn't tire her out with the next part of the exam around the corner, and they didn't really want to jump into a relationship that was built on... you know.

Back to the exam, the turmoil and dissatisfaction caused by Hachiro smashing Shisui into the gate had yet to die down.

Having one of their geniuses beat up outside of an event caused many people to get angry.

They could only sigh and try to monitor Hachiro more loosely than they were previously.

Inside a korean-styled restaurant called Yakiniku Q nearby in Konoha.

"Man~ That guy is way stronger now~."

Kakashi sighed with slight emotion reminiscing about their previous encounter.

Around him were several other jonin accompanying him to the famous restaurant.

Some of the Jonin were recognisable too, Might Guy, Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yuhi.

"Kakashi, you better not fall behind! We should run 500 laps around Konoha together!"

Might Guy threw a punch at the air and exclaimed loudly.

"How strong are the Cloud shinobi compared to us, from the leaf?"

Kurenai Yuhi took a bite of a meatball and frowned slightly,

"It's best not to worry too much, my old man is the strongest Hokage! He can take any of them on and win!"

Although he was over 20, he still liked to brag about his Father.

The vast majority of Konoha Shinobi all took the title of 'Strongest Hokage' Seriously.

Those that knew better didn't even try to refute it, as from experience there were many kids who looked up to the third and would refuse to believe otherwise.

Kurenai didn't answer, but then Asuma shouted,

"Hey, look outside!"

The other three turned their heads and looked out to see, the man they were talking about with the Hyuga clan patriarch.

"Huh?! Why the hell are those two walking around together?!"

Kakashi was baffled,

He was quite knowledgeable about what had happened between the cloud shinobi and the Hyuga clan.

They should be irreconcilable, and now they were walking along quietly without causing a commotion.

Not many people knew about the Hyuga incident four years ago, the Hokage tried to stop the information from circulating outside of the upper circle of Konoha.

He only knew about it because he was technically apart of Hiruzen's faction.

"...Do you want to follow them?"

Asuma suggested,

"And get beaten up like Shisui, it wouldn't end well, no matter how you put it."

Kurenai swallowed the food in her mouth and asked while focusing on her meal again.

Hearing her, Asuma scratched those idea's out of his head after remembering how miserable shisui had gotten beaten in a fight.

After finding out that Shisui Uchiha had been found out by Hachiro, he secretly panicked.

He was afraid that this would become a diplomatic matter that could threaten the peace in Konoha.

It was common knowledge, that most shinobi from the cloud possessed a flaming hot temper and weren't afraid of fighting.

Considering that the person in question was also one of the higher commands, it was likely that their position fanned that temper, and would be indignant enough to try starting a war.

"I'm very sorry, Hokage-sama. It's my fault I failed my mission. I will try better next time."

In his office, Shisui was dressed in his Anbu uniform and kneeling to him as he bowed his head.

"It's okay. Fortunately, this incident hasn't caused Konoha any harm. I underestimated our adversaries and tasked you with this mission, don't blame yourself. You've done a wonderful job as a member of the Anbu, the village owes you a debt of gratitude."

While he spoke, he was fiddling with the crystal ball between his heads.

Shisui looked up at the Hokage gratefully and admiringly,

He was just so kind!

He was hard working and sacrificed his entire life for the village!

Lord Hokage-sama, is probably the greatest leader we could ever wish for!

Reflecting from the surface of the crystal ball, Hachiro and Hiashi were walking together around Konoha.

Seeing the scene, he wasn't all that surprised.

By reading their lips, he could tell that it was something about Hiashi's daughter, Hinata Hyuga.

It seemed like they were trying to negotiate a price.

Suddenly, the image of Hachiro in the crystal ball looked straight at one specific place in the sky.

Hachiro showed a grin before several arcs of lightning flashed around the crystal ball.

Hiruzen's expression changed drastically, had he been discovered?!

Crack!

Shisui cried out,

"Hokage-sama, be careful!"

BOOM! !

The crystal ball exploded as of it were sent towards the sixty year old, Hiruzen.

Thankfully, a dark green skeletal hand acted as a barrier blocking all the hazardous shrapnel.

The explosion caused the surrounding walls to be layered with holes.

"Hokage-sama, are you okay?"

Shisui asked anxiously,

"Shisui... you've awakened the mangekyo Sharingan?!"

Hiruzen looked at the demonic being that had half manifested in his office.

He could see that the pattern in Shisui's eye's had become a pattern with four curves in a spiral shape.

He felt flashbacks to when the Nine Tailed fox had been controlled by Madara Uchiha over fifty years ago.

The only other human who could stand up before those eyes, was Hashirama Senju.

He could remember the first blows they exchanged, compared to them he was as weak as an insect.

Shisui retracted his susanoo and answered faithfully,

"Yes, I awakened this sharingan when my companions sacrificed themselves on a mission some time ago."

"...Shisui, what's your Mangekyo's ability?"

He tried to surpress the shock, he was feeling.

He remembered very well, that his teacher Tobirama Senju had warned him about every mangekyo sharingan user possessing two unique and lethal abilities alongside their trump card, the susanoo.

"Both of my eyes have the technique Kotoamatsukami, its a Genjutsu..."

Shisui naively told him about his frightening Genjutsu technique with almost no counters, a technique that could permanently alter someone's thoughts to a power hungry old man that played politics at all times of the day.
