A holographic screen soon emerged in front of Damon, almost startling him with names of various characters.
"HOHOHO! LOOKS LIKE THE LITTLE SOUL HERE HAS REALLY GREAT LUCK!"
As the screen appeared, the joker who played the role of the host suddenly said in an amused tone.
"ANYWAY, LET US CONTINUE WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS EVENT!"
After the destination world for the reincarnation of the soul has been decided, the souls have given the choices to select their boons. These boons are the powers that a few selected higher beings grant the new souls for their amusement based on the theme.
Every time the themes are different, varying from the types of devil fruit to the divine equipment. This time, the main theme of the powers is Main Character.
The higher beings would give Damon the choice to select the main characters from different works of fiction to choose from, which Damon has to choose the character to possess.
Once the character is selected, Damon would be reincarnated as the given character with its powers and cheat abilities. But as they say, nothing's without a price. There is a price to pay for Damon's choices.
After Damon chooses the character to be reincarnated as, Damon would be given compulsory quests, the main mission of his journey by the higher beings who give Damon the option, which is compulsory for Damon to perform.
These tasks aren't mentioned until Damon would choose his character to be reincarnated as and would be a surprise for Damon.
"OK NOW, AS THE RULES ARE ALREADY ANNOUNCED! IT'S YOUR TURN SOUL TO CHOOSE YOUR BOON!!"
"START THE COUNTDOWN"
The clown finished speaking, and as soon as he did, an animated hourglass appeared out of nowhere, and the countdown began within which Damon needs to choose the character he wants to be.
"Huh, Countdown? You never mentioned it before!"
Damon shouted in surprise, hearing the clown's words, only to receive an arrogant smirk by the clown who just shrugged and said...
"Oh, I didn't? Well, now you know. You have only 3 minutes left to DECIDE on your boon." "Damn!"
Damon was frustrated hearing the clown's words who intentionally tried to annoy Damon by not mentioning the time limit but quickly calmed down and began to go through the options he was presented with.

Looking at the first option, Damon immediately crossed it out. He doesn't want to become Gege's special.
Even though he is going to JJK world where Yuji is the main character, Damon isn't planning on having Kenjaku as his mother nor is he planning to become the plaything for curses.
Damon immediately crossed out Itadori's name and began to check for other characters...

The main character of the legendary anime which caused mayhem years ago, the war in which the side Damon was on lost.
'I still support Kosaki Onodera...'
Damon recalled the plot of Nisekoi and the feeling of disappointment he had when Raku chooses Chitoge over Kosaki...
'Ah, I can't believe he did that... No wait, it isn't time for that.'
Though Damon wanted to complain about the ending, he nevertheless came back to reality as he had the choices he needs to urgently choose from.
'Though I would like to take Raku's place and change the plot a little, in JJK world I don't think being Raku would be of any help.'
Damon eliminated Raku too from the list of potential characters to choose from and began to further go through the list.

How could Damon ever forget about the annoying beta character who was the main character of one of the first novels Damon ever read.
An overpowered main character without any self-confidence, the concept of a gamer type system and fast growth because of overpowered items he possessed Damon had instantly taken liking to the novel.
'But... that annoying motherfucker didn't have any character improvement at all...'
Ten volumes... Damon had read ten complete volumes before dropping the novel after finally getting fed up by the main character who had no character development at all.
Though he understands how difficult the past of Yuuya was, but... ten volumes with no character improvement at all... moreover the girls were also getting annoying too.
A typical harem protagonist with low self-esteem who just kept on attracting girls without developing romantic feelings for them... Damn, you could have imagined how frustrating that was.

As Damon was recalling the contents of the novel, the voice of the clown brought him back to reality where the countdown was still going on and only three minutes were left for Damon to choose from.

It was quite a long time ago Damon watched this anime and also is kind of related to exorcism like JJK but deals with impurities instead of curses? It's been a long time since Damon had watched this anime so his memory is a bit hazy but this was one of the characters Damon can choose to reincarnate as since it was related to supernatural powers and was kind of broken during the last episodes of the series...
'Though I wonder whether I can survive in JJK as Rokuro?'

As Damon pondered about Rokuro, he saw the last name on the list which belonged to the main character of the series that every cultured man has watched at least once in their lifetime.
"30 SECONDS LEFT"
The voice of the clown once again brought Damon's attention to the hourglass where the countdown continued.
"I have already chosen the character I want to reincarnate as..."
Damon looked at the clown and finally replied as he has already chosen the character that would be his safest bet in the cursed world of JJK.
"...I choose to be Tenjou Yuuya."
