36 Chapter 36 - A Good Night

Making sure the entrance to the bunker was closed, I didn't want any unwanted ears hearing us. Taking my clothing off, I slipped into bed for some fun. Going to an open plot of land inside the walls, Sayo and I took up places next to each other facing Maya and Renka. Glancing to my right I saw Shigure watching us closely like usual. I honestly wasn't sure what to think of her, she was a quiet and klutzy woman but something told me not to upset her. She gave off an air of silent but deadly, something I didn't want to test out. Once everyone was ready, we all said go and went for each other. I wasn't surprised to see Sayo leap past me, and swing at Renka. As for Maya, she was astonished by Sayo's speed.

"I am your opponent.", I told her.

Swing my blade at Maya, she went to guard and was taken aback by the force behind my swing. It wasn't just me either, all the women in our group had steadily been getting stronger. Even Shizuka had been getting stronger, and she had been only doing the basic self-defense training along with working in the clinic. All of us had tried thinking how this was happening, but Saya pointed out that all of us had been spending a lot of time with Victor. Yuko's hypothesis was that Victor had some sort of pheromone that increased the strength of the people around him.

It wasn't that far fetched really, other people around him had also increased their strength...just not nearly as quick as us. Sayo and I were dangerous before the gains, this power increase just made us even more deadly to others. Both of us hoped to eventually be strong enough to fight alongside Victor, but there was a massive gap between us and him.

Watching Maya slide backwards as she tried to stop, I couldn't help smile when she almost fell over. Admittedly I was fond of Maya as a person, and I did hope she would join our group as having another samurai like me would be nice. Yuko and Yoko were excellent sword women too, but they excelled more with assassination tactics over direct combat. That said...I wouldn't dare say that to their faces. I fought Yuko once, and when the fight started she was already behind me with a sword to my throat.

"You are stronger than you look!", Maya laughed, "I don't need to hold back now!"

A moment later the two of us were blurs on the battlefield as sparks danced around the air.

---Shigure POV---

Sitting with a cup tea, I was watching the battle unfold. I had an interest in our group's leader Victor and the group of women he was intimate with. Unlike many strong men I had known, he wasn't arrogant and didn't have have an inflated ego. He treated me as an equal while still making it known he knew I was a woman. On top of it all he lovers were each a powerhouse in their own right. I wanted to see what their secret was, and get to know Victor better. He had a very good reputation among the women in camp, also...he was really nice.

I watched the klutzy blonde nurse smack Kensei senseless when he accidentally thought it was me coming out of the bathroom yesterday. She sunk him into the dirt with what appeared to be a light smack across the face. After that she told him not to do it again or she would tell Victor. Evidently she kept to her word as Master Kensei was still breathing. He had made it very clear where he stood with harassment, and the Masters didn't have an issue with that as it was reasonable.

Watching the two women I considered among the strongest in his group, I wasn't surprised to see Renka and Maya on the defensive. The two women were impressive fighters, but Sayo and Saeko were just to strong and fast for them. As the fight continued the gap between Sayo and Renka widened as she was losing steam and confidence. In a last ditch effort to get one strike in, Renka punched Sayo in the nose after feinting a body blow. Her punched connected and drew a small amount of blood, and Sayo's attitude changed the moment she saw her own blood. The atmosphere around her turned violent as she lashed out with her own blow to Renka's gut.

Even though Renka blocked the blow, Sayo's punch slammed into her stomach forcing her to cough up blood. Slamming her into the wall, Renka wore a pained expression. Sensing something was wrong the other Master's came running over to break up the fight.. Watching Sayo throw a killing blow at Renka's face, her face paled as she watched it coming for her. Maya and Saeko abandoned their fight, and tried to stop Sayo.

Going to stop her, we watched Victor appear in between them and stop the punch. Hitting a series of pressure points, Sayo collapsed into his arms. Laying her against the wall, he turned to Renka who was bleeding from her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.

---Victor POV---

Pulling Renka out of the wall, I did a once over with my system. Sayo's blow had burst several blood vessels all over Renka's body. Striking pressure points that would stem the bleeding and help stimulate recovery, she looked at with a terrified look. If I hadn't stopped that punch Renka would have died. The Master's would have arrived a split second too late to stop her.

Gasping for air as I adjusted her ribs, she looked at the crater left in the wall. Smiling she looked at me after that, and said she could go for round 2. Sighing I shook my head saying she was a moron.

"You shouldn't fight Sayo, the Master's are one thing but you will be killed. Like me she modified to be a weapon, she will kill you if you provoke her because that's how she is wired. She doesn't want too, but that is how they trained her.", I told her, "The moment she sees her own blood she will snap, and try to kill anyone around her."

"I didn't realize her past was that bad.", she replied.

Helping her up, she took a step forward and fell into me. It was clear she was still in a lot of pain, and couldn't walk right at the moment. Offering to help her to the clinic, she thanked me and accepted the offer. Watching his daughter leaning on me, Kensei had a mixed expression. I had saved his daughter from death, but he also didn't like us getting so close. Taking her to the clinic, I got her comfortable on one of the medical beds.

"Thanks for the save.", she laughed with a pained expression.

"It's fine, I am glad you are still alive.", I told her, "I would have hated to see you die."

"I see...", she said with a flushed expression, "I...I wanted to know, what do you think of maybe giving us a chance?"

"What do you mean?", I asked feinting ignorance.

"Well I...I wanted to know if you might consider being a couple with me.", she stated, "I...I think your a nice guy, and...well you are really talented, strong, and...well I was hoping you'd consider dating me like the other women you are with. I don't mind sharing, just...don't do what my Dad did and run off!"

'Uh...is she confusing how dating works? Dating isn't marriage...', I thought.

"Humor me, what is dating in your eyes?", I asked.

"Well", she said, "Hand holding, sparring together, kissing, hugging, and...maybe that Dual Cultivation technique you talked about."

"Renka, Dual Cultivation is having sex with a person. The two of you circulate your Ki through each other while bonding in bed. I want to make that clear, and give you the wrong idea.", I told her.

"I know that, my father told me last night...", she said, "He tried to tell me to stay away from you, and that you already had enough women."

"Your dad is just worried, he may have left home but you are still his little girl.", I chuckled, "If you want to date me, then I will happily date you. That said, we aren't going to Dual Cultivate till you are ready. Making love to someone should be just for getting stronger, it should be because you want to express you love physically to your lover."

Sealing her lips with a kiss, I told her to focus on recovering. Promising to talk to her later I walked out to find Kensei waiting. Wanting to have a talk with me, I humored him and followed behind him.

"I can't stop her from dating you...she is too stubborn for her own good, just like her mother.", he said with a sigh, "I want to make it clear that by taking her hand you will stay with her, and never break her heart. I admitted it was my selfish decision to leave my family behind, but I won't tolerate someone else doing it to my daughter."

"Does dating in China mean something different than here?", I asked.

"Accepting her and saying you would perform Dual Cultivation means you are responsible for her future. The idea you Westerners have is flawed, a man takes responsibility for the women he cultivates with. As your bond grow stronger the benefits increase so it is imperative you remain together.", he answered, "My growth has stalled because I put my family to the side."

"I see.", I replied, 'I understand now why my power is increasing more now.'

Telling him I would make sure she was happy, he said he would be watching me carefully.
