1 Misfortune Is To Come

I enrolled in one of the top colleges four years ago, and I had it all.

My father being one of the top well known businessmen, a future for my lifetime dream to be in my grasp at once, and going to one of the top ranked colleges in the country. What more could I ask for?

That was until life took a sudden turn and my life changed forever.

My father was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) which is also known as an irregular rapid heart rate. The doctors said it was nothing to fret about, this diagnosis was very common.

But my father had never been a regular case.

As school increasingly got more and more demanding, so did my father's health. My father had the worse case any doctor had seen, no one knew what to do, until one day.

One day my father lost his battle, leaving his fortune, family, and success behind.

Without a leader, my father's business has started to face its downfall.

I couldn't just watch his hardwork turn into shambles, so I went through with the only plan I could think of at the time.

This consisted of dropping out of college, burying my dream, and instead taking ahold of my father's dream. I'm sure I could've come up with another way to handle this, but I don't trust anyone else in the business with my father's success.

There are too many competitors to trust anyone. Ever since my father passed, competitors have taken action to be seen.

But I'm not going to let them have that satisfaction.

I no longer live for my dream, but instead my father's. I will not let others use his death to move up the social ladder.

How are you going to run a business if you know nothing about it, you may ask?

Well simple, before my father passed he showed me the ins and outs of the company. I know everything about it, and quite frankly I have always been rather good at leading. I was taught by the best anyways.

So I think everything will be just fine...or maybe not.
