69 The only way to cope

I remove the drip from my hand, stood up from the bed, and walked towards the door. 

I open the door and was met with a long hallway. Both sides leading to places unknown. 

I turn to the left and walked towards the end of the hallway and ended up at the stairs.

The house seemed quiet. I gently walked down the stairs until I reached the foot of the stairs. 

The house seemed like those cabins you see in the woods you see in movies. But a big ass one. 

With many artifacts displayed on the walls everywhere you turn, the house was quite welcoming.

A woman in her mid forties walks out of the kitchen. 

She looks startled when she sees me. "Oh dear."

"Hi." I give her a small wave.

"What are you doing out here?" 

I look around before I look at her confused. "Am I not supposed to be here?" 

"No, no, no." She waves her hand around. "It's just Nico told me you were asleep. I didn't know you were already up."
