2 2 Meeting the boy who lived

It had been six years since Eric had arrived in this world and he had progressed a substantial amount in those few short year.

With the intelligence he retained from his past life, even with him only being six years old, it meant that it was a lot easier for him to learn the basic things that most six year olds can do, for example he could now walk around the house all by himself, furthermore he could now write almost legibly, he was also able to speak fluent English and almost fluent french, the French was mostly thanks to his parents getting him a language tutor when he was five though.

Currently Eric was living at number 17 privet drive in England, his mother was a professional translator and received a lot money to go to international business meeting and government talks to work as a translator.

She was able to speak 24 different languages and this was also one of the reasons he was being taught French by a high calibre tutor as his mother wanted Eric to be bilingual, his dad was an entrepreneur who had started a company on his own at the age of twenty and was now considered one of the richest and most successful people in this part of the world.

Eric was the Mowroly's only child so he was spoiled by his parents and the rest of his extended family, thankfully even though his parents were rich they were not pompous or arrogant about it as they both knew that it took a lot of time and effort to get this far and they didn't believe they were in any way better than anyone else, which was one of the reasons why they were living here in privet drive, and not in some really expensive rich fuck neighbourhood where everyone had their heads up their asses.

This, however was to Eric's advantage, as living on privet drive meant that he was close to house number four, in fact number four was actually right across the street from his house. And although he hadn't run into Harry yet Eric suspected that it was bound to happen some point soon.

•••

The next morning his mother came into his room early and woke him up.

"Eric wake up, today we are going to go meet the people from across the street and have lunch with them, so be sure that you are ready before we leave."

"Ok mum", Eric said excitedly, at the thought of what this meant for him Eric was practically bursting with excitement at the prospects of meeting this world's main character, but he kept himself under control and came downstairs into the dining room to have his breakfast which consisted of sausage, eggs and bacon.

After that delectable breakfast Eric did his morning exercise routine which he had started doing when he turned four and he had to say the exercise worked absolute wonders.

He had started out barely being able to do even two push ups, but now he was able to do twenty odd pushups, he also went from only being able to run fifty meter before collapsing, to being able to consistent do five hundred meter runs, and lastly when he started he was only able to lift the weight of large hard cover book that weighed about 2KG, but now he able to lift a chair with a weight of approximately 15KG, all this progress was quite incredible.

When he had noticed the level of progression he had been making Eric decided that for his next birthday he would ask his parents to get him some proper exercise equipment as using household items as weights was a bit inconvenient.

After his exercising session Eric proceeded upstairs to have a nice cold shower to freshen himself up, and then he put on his clothes in readiness for his visit to the Dursleys, or more precisely Harry.

Visiting Harry was one of the many things that all Harry Potter fan would dream to be able to do. This along with going through the wall to get to platform nine and three quarters, riding the boats to Hogwarts and getting to see all of the various mythical creature that reside in this magical world were all things Eric was planning on doing soon.

Just as he felt like he could no longer wait to be able to leave, his father called to him loudly from downstairs.

"Eric it's time to go"

"Ok coming", Eric replied, as Eric raced down the stairs he almost tripped and fell but he kept his balance nonetheless, however after the sharp wake up call of almost falling Eric did seem to calm himself down a bit.

"Are you ready to go Eric?", His mother asked in her usual cheerful voice while a big motherly smile appeared on her face.

"Mhm" Eric replied with a nod

"Ok let's get go then", his father said with the usual stern but calming voice that he possessed.

•••

Arriving at the Dursleys door Eric's father knocked lightly once onto it and to his surprise the door was opened swiftly afterwards by Mrs Dursley, it was almost as if she had just been standing behind the door waiting for them to show up, which she had in fact been doing, and for quite a substantial amount of time as well.

But this was understandable, as Eric's parents where by far the richest and most influential people in the whole of privet drive, nobody wanted to get on their bad side and a lot of people wanted to try to get to know them better.

While Eric's parents might see this as just a social gathering the Dursleys saw the Mowroly family's arrival as an opportunity to get a powerful connection, which is why they invited Eric's family to come over and have lunch with them in the first place.

Furthermore they knew that their child was roughly the same age as Eric so they thought that their child, Dudley and Eric could become friends, this would then make their family's become even closer.

Harry was of course upstairs forbidden from leaving the room under any circumstances, and only to be let out after the Mowroly family had left.

Entering the house they were swiftly greeted by a pudgy short boy outfitted in fancy attire which looked to be a bit on the tight side, it seemed like he was struggling to move and a substantial amount of sweat droplets were nestled atop his pale forehead.

"Greetings Mr and Mrs mowroly would you please allow me to take your coats?", Dudley asked in the most polite and sophisticated sounding voice that he could muster, however he didn't sound all that sophisticated nor polite, mostly because he was only six years old and his tone of speech was completely off.

Eric took his coat off and extended his arm out to give the coat to Dudley but Dudley, who was seemingly unaware of Eric's outstretched hand, didn't take the coat and just left to put mr and Mrs mowrolys coats on the coat rack that was off to the side, this left Eric standing awkwardly at the entrance of the house with his arm outstretched holding a coat.

'That over grown lump of fat seriously just left me here with my coat in my hand, that prick, god one day I'm going to get him back for both this current situation and all the suffering he put has and will put Harry through in the future, it's only fair', Eric thought while putting his coat on the rack on himself.

After putting his coat away Eric followed his parents into the living room, in there sat Mr Dursley, who started introducing himself as soon as they walked in and then proceeded stand up to greet them.

"Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Mowroly, please sit down, sit down, it would be great to get to know you"

"The feelings mutual Mr Dursley" said Eric's father amicably.

"Yes, very much so" said Abigale, Eric's mother. Then as they started to talk about various different business things Eric decided to drown out the noise by thinking of other more important things such as magic and what to do for the next few years before he would be arriving at Hogwarts.

The conversation between his parents and Mr Dursley lasted all the way until it was time to eat, but before they had finished all the food that was placed on the table Eric asked where the bathroom was, Mrs Dursleys said that it was straight up the stairs and to the left, the directions were simple to follow but as Eric was walking to the bathroom he thought he heard something shuffling in a room to his right so as any sane person would do he went to investigate, and what he found was a malnourished scruffy looking 6 year old boy who was wearing some antique esque looking glasses and upon his forehead there lay a lightning bolt shaped scar.

"Hello, who might you be?" Eric asked with a intrigued tone just barely suppressing the excitement that was bubbling up inside him, because even though he had just asked who this person was, he knew full well who they were.

"My names Harry, who are you?" Harry said in confused tone, he was wondering why it was that someone was taking the time to talk to him, most would simply just ignore him and those who didn't wouldn't usually treat him very well.

"My name's Eric, it's nice to meet you Harry, I think we are going to become very, very good friends", Eric said with a confident smile plastered onto his childish face.

"Ok", Harry said happily at the prospect of actually getting a friend.
