Chapter 1: Death and "Please don't nerf me"

"YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS GAME", shouted John at his PC watching his game character being thrown out of the airlock.

'Why do I even bother...' he thought, it was the fourth time in a row he got expelled by his teammates as a crewmate for no reason at all in a random matchmaking game.

John proceeded to take off his headphones, closed his Steam app, and threw himself on his bed with his favourite book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He loved this one in particular because it was the beginning of it all, starting with a kid who thought he was completely normal just to get his view of everything he knew changed in an instant one fateful day. John truly wished the same could happen to him, pity, as it was all just fantasy and books.

He read until deep into the night, yet no one came to disturb him, as how could anyone do so in the first place, he's lived alone since 7 years ago, on that fateful day. He was 11 back then, and just during his birthday, he lost his whole family. A great tragedy for the boy, who to this moment had difficulties engaging in other relationships for fear of losing them again.

Just as John was about to end the book, he heard some small sounds from outside, like some object breaking through the air, and just as he looked outside the window he heard a loud "HONK HONK" from above his house. John looked upwards, and saw the most absurd thing in his life.

"WHY THE HELL IS TRUCK-KUN COMING DOWN FROM TH-"

"BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!"

John's sentence was interrupted by the sound of the powerful impact that Truck-kun left from slamming hard onto the poor guy, completely erasing John together with his whole house from the face of the Earth.

John opened his eyes to a blinding light, and saw, well, light, everywhere. He even wondered how he was managing to hold his eyes open to this blinding light, just to realise he had no eyes instead. However, as an expert reincarnation novel reader, he tried to calm down and look around to see if he could find a ROB or anything of the sort. His efforts played off well as he saw something that looked like a TV screen. John approached the screen cautiously, only to this time discover he didn't have legs. He tried his best to think about standing in front of the screen, just to appear in front of the screen a moment later. He stared at the screen for just a second before it started to display some texts in front of him.
