86 86. The new threat

"So now can you tell me what did you find?" Amelia asked Harry. They were seated together in her living room.

Harry stayed silent before starting," yesterday I went to a massage centre and when I was returning, I noticed two witches there. Now that would not have mattered much but I wanted to know what they were doing in the muggle world....

I used legilimency on them, and found that both of them had rudimentary Occlumency sheilds. It startled me even more as you know that not many muggle-borns or half-bloods know about mind art.

I got to know that both of them had not attended Hogwarts or any other magical school for that matter.

Have you heard about Rothschild family and Ashley family? " Amelia was completely serious listening to him. She somewhat understood what he wanted to say but was not willing to believe it.

"They are some of the richest and most powerful families. They are hiring some of the muggle-borns that leave the magical world due to discrimination or for other reasons.

During the rise of Grindelwald and when Voldemort was in school, some of the muggle-borns gryffindors left Hogwarts after their OWLs due to excessive bullying. In their hatred, they decided to build a massive business empire and telling all the muggles about the wizarding world.

Unfortunately for them, it was war time, London was being bombed and economy was in decline. After Grindelwald's imprisonment, they were approached by those two powerful but rival families.

Muggles has been trying to produce a large number of sorcerers and grand sorcerers ever since. Our standard of education had fallen but they are still using that old curriculum that was taught during that time. It was better than today.

Even their prime minister is not aware of this because he regularly meets with ministry aurors.

They are waiting for us to decline and even gathering knowledge and information from our world secretly. They would have already made their move but as I said, both the families are life-long rivals, making them afraid of schemes of each other." Harry explained sighing. He felt a headache building whenever he thought about it. Now he not only need to be wary of magical threats but also of muggle bombs.

" So you were in a hurry to visit the ministry for...? "

" Yes.. I wanted to find if they have planted High level spies. I did find their spies but they were all at lower levels. They also don't know who is supporting them from behind and they are too happy to do it as they know that they have no chance of rising up." Harry nodded making Amelia frown.

" How are they getting their wands? " She asked.

" Muggle-borns get it during Hogwarts. As for their own people, there is a thing call the black market. During second world war, no one bothered to pick the wands of the fallen.

They have been researching this subject, as well as about Wards and magitech. By magitech, i mean the combination of magic with technology."

" We should inform ICW about it immediately. We can't let them grow and succeed." Amelia said standing up.

" Sit down." Harry pulled her back to her seat."how are you going to say you got that information? How can you be sure that they don't have someone behind them. What if they get news about it beforehand and decide to hide, or worse, directly bomb us." Harry said annoyed at her.

" Then what are we supposed to do.. let them continue? " Amelia asked angrily.

" Don't worry. They are not an immediate threat. We have to increase our defences, prepare more and better fighters, and eliminate them sneakily in one fell swoop." Harry said calming her down.

" How are you going to do this? " Amelia asked in complete seriousness. She wanted to help him as much as possible.

" I can't tell you." Harry said bluntly making her frown.

" Why? We are allies, I can help you." Amelia said.

" Amelia, we are only allies. I have severe trust issues. I can't trust you just based on that." Harry said getting up, intending to leave.

Just as he was going to walk away, she held his hand," What more do you need to trust me?" She asked." I need to be a part of all this Harry. I want to be part of all this Harry. I have given my whole life towards it, I can't back away now."

Harry considered her words before looking at her sharply," Sign a loyalty contract." He said.

" Are you out of your mind!! " Amelia shouted in anger. " Don't try to take advantage of the situation Potter, I can still just tell ICW about it."

" You can and that's why I said I won't include you without loyalty contract. This threat and blackmail only confirmed my decision." Harry said calmly but his eyes were cold as he looked at her, immediately making her realise the mistake she made in her agitation.

"Harry I-" Amelia started only to be stopped by Harry.

" You can consider any and all forms of cooperation and alliance, broken after the necessary preparation period that is one month." Harry still had a calm face as he uttered coldly making her distraught. Harry didn't give her any chance of speaking before he left her place.

Returning to his home, he went towards his room. He knew everyone must be sleeping and didn't make any noise that would disturb them. He knew her portrait must be there as she liked to be in his places.

" Harry, you are back so soon? " He indeed found her in the room.

" Yeah. I had a meeting with Amelia then I came here directly." Harry said, changing his clothes.

" Tell me in detail about your findings and meetings." Lily asked.

" There are mainly two big rival families behind it. They approach muggle-borns and half-bloods who leave magical world behind as well as their own.

They are trying to learn all the magic they can find, preparing methods and troops to deal with wizards and creatures. There main field of research are Space, transportation, Herbology and potions, Runes and spell crafting etc.

They are waiting, to find the opportunity of ruling or benefiting as they don't consider full on wars as their first choice, given their lack of magical capabilities even after everything. But they are treating us as cattles, when we are no longer beneficial or if they feel the need, they are ready to use heavy bombs, even atomic ones. I found their spies in nearly every department as low level workers." Harry explained to her in detail.

It was not a good news but still not the worst. He was actually happy that it's only just those two families. They were even helping them somewhat, by employing those bitter and hatred filled people before they could do any individual damage.
