53 53. Interested Dumbledore

~Inside the Headmaster's office, Hogwarts ~

When Harry left with Flitwick and Mcgonagall, Dumbledore asked Snape to stay behind.

"Please take a seat Severus." Dumbledore said and seeing Snape sitting in front of him, he continued.

"What can you tell me about young Harry, severus?" He asked leaning back onto his chair.

" The boy.. is very cunning.. He got his wish fulfilled without giving us any advantage. Even when you tried to corner him using his friends, he was able to counter you and even got praised as a kind and just boy.

He also has that charm that compels others to follow him. He is a natural leader. On his second day, in this seemingly new world, he was not only able to gain the support of two head of the houses but I also noticed that All the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were rallying behind him.

I'm disgusted to say this but that spawn of Potter is a natural Slytherin." Snape concluded his analysis.

" Hmm... How was his performance in class today? " Dumbledore didn't want to leave behind any stone unturned.

" In my class, he sat beside Bones girl. He was mainly helping her from the sides with materials and instructions.

He must have already read the books as he was able to answer all my questions.

When I tried to find out more, I saw his abusive childhood but nothing after Hagrid's visit." Snape dutifully told the events in detail.

" You must have tried again, right? " Dumbledore asked looking directly in his eyes. This is what Dumbledore was like, he never said anything that could be used against him in the future. He had perfectly mastered the art of political speaking.

" I did. But all I saw was a Bat's mating process." Snape said with clenched teeth. He didn't want to answer that question but he knew that Dumbledore was not asking him, he was ordering him.

" Interesting. He was able to lead you by nose the whole time and you couldn't do anything. Interesting indeed." Dumbledore smiled completely ignoring Snape whose face looked constipated.

"Alright. Don't disturb him for now. I'm sure young Harry will come to realise his mistakes. Just keep an eye on his friends. Especially close friends." Dumbledore ordered while waving his hand to send Snaps away.

Harry was able to make a prison inside his trunk with Lily's help by the time Alfred brought 4 men of different ages. It was nothing too grand but he was planning to learn the art of making magical trunks later that summer, then he would perfect that prison and make some other special purpose trunks. Locking them inside their separate cells, Harry started practicing the required magic.

After a few hours of practice with a 5 min nap in between, Harry finally stopped when it was time for Daphne's and Hermione's class.

Harry had indeed practiced Legilimency on Hermione when teaching her Occlumency but due to the fear of hurting her, he had never been able to make much improvements. Now that he had no such fear, he was finally able to advance his legilimency by leaps and bounds.

He was so satisfied with his prison trunk that he decided to make a training trunk for his close friends.

By the time Harry went to the side room where they usually train, Hermione and Daphne were both there waiting for his arrival.

"Good morning Daph. Good morning Hermione."

"Good morning Harry." "Morning Harry."

After the usual greetings, Harry started teaching them various subjects such as Transfiguration, Charms, DADA and Potions. He taught them these for 1.5 hours and for the last 30 minutes he let them practice combat magic against each other.

It was only made possible because first both the girls were very intelligent with strong memory and second because Harry himself had become many times better than Hogwarts professors when it came to teaching.

By the end of the class both the girls were tired but content with their progress.

"Alright. Chop-chop. That's it for now. You both will practice what I have taught you today on your own. As for theory subjects, I will prepare notes for you guys. Just read, memorise and understand that and it will be more than enough." Harry said looking at both of them to which they thanked him gratefully. Harry immediately instructed Vorn to write notes on all the subjects according to his understanding. As Vorn was his godly artifact, it was completely capable of performing these tasks. Harry estimated that the first year's notes would be ready before their class time.

"Harry, is it really enough?" Daphne asked hesitatingly, bringing him out of his thoughts.

"Huh.. What do you mean Daph?"

"What she meant to ask is, would it really be enough to hold only 1.5 hours of class, considering the number of subjects we have? " Hermione spoke seeing Daphne hesitate.

"Oh.. So that's what you are worried about. Okay, tell me Daph, you attended potion class yesterday together with us, right? " Harry asked.

" Yeah. " Daphne answered not knowing why Harry was asking such an obvious question.

" Snape taught us cure for boils. Tell me, how many were able to make that potion perfectly?"

"Only us four." Daphne answered.

"That's right. Now tell me how many were able to complete the potion, no matter the quality.? " Harry asked again.

" Only 4 other people except us. " Daphne answered after thinking for a moment.

" Now tell me, How many actually understood the essence of that potion? " Harry asked smiling.

" No one except you. In fact I am sure not even those in third or fourth year would be able to understand it"

"Snape will not teach new potions till at least half the class can make that potion. That will take about a week with assignments and all. And you learnt all that in those 1.5 hours with all the other subjects. Now you tell me if 1.5 hours is enough?.

In fact I have planned to finish teaching you up to second year's materials before the Christmas break as in the second term of the year I want you to master all the magic up to second year wandlessly. So don't worry, work hard and just follow my words." Daphne finally relaxed. Harry knew she wanted to research about blood maledictus because of her sister and that is why she was feeling so much pressure. Harry could help her, but he decided to wait for her to approach him first.

They returned to their rooms and got ready for the day.
