25 25. Results

I opened my eyes, at first confused about my surroundings but then I remembered what we were doing and where I was. Looking to my side, I saw Hermione was still unconscious.

"Alfred, put my mother's portrait on the wall over there." I ordered as I knew Hermione would take some time to regain her consciousness.

In fact, After completing all the preparation and my mother's confirmation, I had claimed my system reward for the series of actions till then, which immediately increased my understanding of this ritual to the level beyond even its creator. And then, before fainting, I used the newly created link between us to make it so that I can share her need for sleep with my sleep.

What it actually means is that, now Hermione will need to sleep much less than before. Previously if she needed 7 hours of sleep then now she will only need to sleep for 3-3.5 hours daily. But it also increased my need to sleep from that of 7 hours to now 14 hours daily. Which to be honest is nothing with my system's abilities.

Now comes the best part, " System, distribute the rewards."

And the rewards made me gasp in surprise. My system really is overpowered. After the rewards not only all the negative effects of the ritual are gone, but it also gave me some additional benefits.

I now have a much deeper understanding of how rituals affect someone, it also shows why ritual is a very complex magic. I can even slightly modify some rituals to make it much more simple and easy.

It also strengthened my occlumency shields, making my defense very terrifying. All in all, this was better than I had expected and it made me much more eager to perform my next ritual.

"Harry, how are you? Do you feel anything off? Why is Hermione not awake? " mom's words interrupted my inner monologue.

"Everything is alright mom, in fact it is better than we expected. Hermione too will be waking up soon, so please don't worry." I assured her.

"It's good that you both are safe and sound. I was worried when you didn't wake up for 4 hours. So what next, do you want to perform your second ritual right now? "

"No mom. Let's do it tomorrow. It's already 2 pm and I have to be prepared for my meeting with Andromeda Tonks." I said as I still want to have lunch with Grangers before the meeting.

"Alright, meet me after your meeting. I'm also finalising the details for your ritual." Saying her bye, I asked Alfred to take everyone back to Granger's home. Hermione too woke up after some minutes and after cleaning ourselves, we all had a wonderful lunch together.

I told Hermione and her parents the results of our ritual and Hermione was very happy with it to say the least and she let me know about it by a very long and tight hug with a light peck on my cheek.

I have also decided to take Hermione with me tomorrow for my ritual as I want to test another fanon knowledge at Gringotts. Seeing that it was almost time for the meeting, I went to the meeting room ahead of time.

After making sure that everything is well prepared, I disguised myself completely. Now one can only tell that I'm a chind but nothing more. Even my voice is changed to a gender neutral voice. I didn't have to wait long before Andromeda Tonks made her appearance.

"Nice to meet you Healer Tonks.. Please have a seat." I said without getting up.

"Nice to meet you too. How should I address you? And what's with all this secrecy and security? " She inquired while raising an eyebrow.

"I do feel that secrecy is very much needed here. As for any other things, I will answer them after you consume this potion here." I said while sliding the bottle of flushing drought towards her.

"Why should I to take it? " she said clearly recognising the potion.

"If we come to an agreement, I'm willing to pay you the same amount you are paid at st. mungo's. Moreover You can continue your work there for now as you will have much free time as my employee."I said this as I knew she would not be tempted by money but by curiosity.

"I have my own flushing draught here and I'm willing to take it." She took out a potion bottle from her handbag and put it on the table in front of me.

I checked it using my observe ability and my own potion knowledge and allowed her to take it. I had already checked her with my Observe ability but I always want to be extra sure.

Seeing that she was not showing any reaction, I finally concluded that she was fine and there was no problem with her.

I slid a contract in front of her. "Please read it carefully and we can both sign it."

It was a contract of employment. It held some conditions such as:

1. Vow of absolute secrecy.

2. She can do the job at her discretion. I will not force her to do anything against her will.

3. She can terminate the contract at any time she desires but the vow of absolute secrecy will have to be maintained for the lifetime. She will have to notify me about it 3 days prior to the termination.

4. She will perform her duties to the best of her capabilities and without unnecessary delay.

5. Service to me will be her topmost priority. meaning, in case it happens that she is needed by both me and someone else, then she will first perform her duties to me.

6. She can not intentionally harm me during the period of her employment. Nor can she use such information she gains during her employment against me and mine.

7. The terms of this contract will be final once signed by both the parties willingly. They can not be changed without my expressed agreement.

Looking at the contract, Andromeda did not rush to sign it. She first contemplated for 15 minutes seriously before saying, " add one more line in the contract. You will not let any harm fall onto me or mine, intentionally and deliberately during the period of my employment."

I agreed to this condition and we finalised the deal by signing the contract.

Some people are complaining that the story is very fast paced and there are little interactions.

MC was given one single month to prepare for the first face off with Dumbledore and the magical world. He has to fight a mountain troll in 2-3 months, and he is not someone who will leave things on luck. He has to be very busy if he wants to be extra prepared.

When it comes to interactions, again he does not have much free time to just sit and relax. Moreover how many important characters have been introduced till now? Hermione, Lily, The Grangers....
