2 What do I do?

I started to gain consciousness and realized I was no longer on the ground but a (soft?) bed. Everything hurt, from my legs to my head and so on. It felt like a thousand needle puncturing my skin all at once. It was making my entire body numb thus it felt like I could not move. I thought period pains were horrible this takes the cake what the hell. After what felt like hours but was probably only a couple minutes, I could start to hear noises all around me. It sounded like people talking but more yelling than anything. I slowly started to open my eyes to get a good look at whoever was making that much noise right next to me.

"Be silent, she is awaking. Ma'am, how are you feeling? Do you remember what happened?"

My eyes were still trying to adjust to the scenery around me. I realized I was in a simple single bed inside what looked like a log cabin surrounded by two people. One was a woman looked to be around my age. She had dirty blond hair, blue eyes, a defined jawline, petite nose, but slightly big ears. She was looking at me with the same concerned eyes a mother would if her child were trying to pet a wild bear. She was the closest to me and was holding a cold rag to my forehead and checking my cheeks with the back of her hand.

The second and last person in the room was a man that looked to be slightly older than I was. He has brown hair that was long and pulled into a ponytail. What is with men and men buns they are so strange I will never understand this hair style. I will not lie though he was quite handsome with a strong jawline as well, nice chin, calculating brown eyes and he was a little skinny, but you could tell he held muscles under his clothing. Speaking of which that was the next thing you noticed was the odd clothes that both were wearing. They both looked like that just came out of a 1700's reenactment and hairstyles to match as well.

"Ma'am, do you remember what happened?"

"huh. Um, yeah, I was walking down the sidewalk to the store when it felt like my whole body was on fire. I mean the store was right there and there was no one else around, that I saw, but other than that I don't remember much."

They both just stared at me like what I just said was the craziest and most idiotic thing anyone has ever said.

"Oh dear, do you think she hit her head too hard and doesn't remember where she is?" She asked the man at the door.

"Perhaps. Mary, you said that after the spark hit the ground you saw her just standing there and then she fell to the ground."

"Well, yes but, Abraham, its not like she just appeared out of no were. That's not plausible."

"Hold on, I am right here! Where am I? Why does it look like we are surrounded by woods when I wasn't anywhere near woods?" I looked at both of them for answers as I didn't know what was going on.

"Well hun, we were just about to settle down for rest, when the storm struck, and a spark struck over by my husbands crops making the ground shake. It was quite startling at first, but what was more concerning was that you just appeared out of thin air in that exact spot."

That did not make any sense at all. Yes, there was a storm hitting my area as well, but there was no sign that it had started. I heard a baby start to cry from what sounded like above me. Ok, so there was an upstairs to this place, alright. The women quickly got up and excused herself.

"I apologize. I will return as soon as I am done checking on him."

She exited the room and hastily went around the corner to which I heard her footsteps ascend the stairs. Then it was just this man Abraham and I in this room. We both locked eyes to which he quickly looked away with....a blush on his face? The hell. I am not the best with talking to other people so I moved my eyesight out the window. I saw that it was indeed still dark outside and that there were trees but also a little crop field outside the house. I started to then look around the room taking in the small amount of décor around this one room I was in. There was a chest at the foot of the bed that had a blanket on it. There was a rack that had a red outfit resting on it. It looked a lot like a British uniform from the 1700's. I quickly looked at the man who very strangely was still staring right at me the whole time. Ok a little creepy.

"Excuse me! What is today?"

He jump not realizing that I turned to him and asked him a question.

"Ma'am, its August 25, 1776."

I just stared at him with wide eyes. No, that cant be right it was the year 2020 and its August 1st. I felt my heart increase and my head finally started to clear I know this man, I have seen him before from a tv series I watched. There is no way, nope no no no no no.

"I need to leave." I quickly said while getting up out of bed.

A massive pain shot through my whole body and I fell to the floor in front of him. He quickly rushed to help me trying to get me back onto the bed.

"No, you need to stay in bed and rest until you can move again. Once you have regained your strength I will accompany you to town to help you find your family."

"No, you don't understand I don't have family they aren't born yet! I am not supposed to be here at all!"

"What are you talking about? You are in a town named Setauket in New Jersey. Just calm down miss and everything will be fine."

"No, I am not ok. I know this place, I have seen this place before, I know you, I know her, I know about your son-."

"I never said I had a son!" He looked at me with a questioning stare, but also one that said he didn't trust me.

"No im not here to hurt you or anyone here. I just need to leave and find answers because if what I think is correct im in the wrong year."

"Ok, now you are talking nonsense. I am going to lock this door and get my father with the major to sort this out. You need to be looked at and your head examined."

He made to leave but I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him back.

"Your name is Abraham Woodhull, you are married to Mary woodhull who was supposed to mary your older brother who sadly died at a riot in New York. So you married her and now you both have a son named Thomas. Though you were in love with a women named Anna Strong who you grew up with."

"Ok ok just stop! I believe you! How do you know all of this!?" He grabbed my shoulders and looked at me waiting for answers. So, I told him everything. The tv series, where I come from, what time, who I am and that I know what will happen in the future. The entire time I had his full undivided attention and he never took his eyes off mine to make sure any slip up would mean I was lying. Everything I said was true, thus as I kept going he grew more and more concerned.

"so you come from almost 300 years in the future for some reason you don't know and you know us from this...what did you call it?"

"It's a T.V. we watch things on it. I will explain later and I don't understand why if I got brought back in time why you guys look like them? I just need to find a way home because I cant be here. I will alter the timeline and mess things up and im sorry bud, but I don't want to make it that I was never born by being here so I need to leave now."

I quickly got up realizing that I still had on my clothes from before and made my way out the bedroom door.

"Now wait! For all we know you might not find a way back and I cant have you walking around dressed like that. Your not descent at all and it will draw attention. We need to find you better garments."

"No, what I need to do is leave, go back to the spot that I appeared in and wait for whatever brought me here to bring me back."

"Wait, just wait!"

He tried to stop me before I opened the door outside. As I opened the door I realized that Mary was at the bottom step with Thomas in her arms just barely making her way downstairs to us. When the door was fully open I ran smack into someone wearing all red.

"Mr. Woodhull, who is this young lady who is leaving your house dressed like a man?"

I knew that voice and I instantly looked up and looked him right in the eyes. He had on a white fancy wig and a red revolutionary British uniform on. He has piercing blue eye that looked like they were seeing right into your soul sending shivers down my spine. He had a slightly long face but it made is nose, mouth and eyes place perfectly on his face. He was quite tall as well, must be at least 6 feet tall as I had to crane my neck a little to look up at him. He kept his head high and shoulders back carrying authority but also fear in his posture. I always thought he was annoying and scary in the show, but looking at him now and being right in front of him I couldn't breathe from fear at how he was starring at me.

"Whatever do you mean Simcoe? This is my cousin and he is here for the week to visit."

I felt the man in front of me just keep staring at me like I was just trash in his eyes and felt my whole body shake. I slowly took a couple steps back into the house while Abraham pushed his way in front of me blocking my path and sight of Simcoe.

"Mr. Woodhull, do you play me for a fool, I know a lady when I see one and that one clearly is a lady. Now are you going to answer my question or will I have to go report to the major about you hiding spies?"

No! I will not be hung for being a spy when I don't even belong here fuck that! I went to say something but Mary beat me to it.

"You are correct Simcoe. She is my sister that my parents sent to us to find a suitor for her to marry. She is staying with us hoping for a British officer will take her hand. Now if you don't mind I will get her properly dressed and out of her city undergarments."

Mary quickly grabbed my arm with her hand that wasn't holding Thomas and led me back to the guest room closing the door in the process. Before it closed I looked back through the small hole seeing Abraham and Simcoe talking, but his eyes never left my body and he locked eyes with me and holding the creepiest smile I have ever seen, before the door shut and I was left standing there now realizing that he knew I was here and I was now stuck. I have caught his interest and he wont stop until I am solved. I AM SO FUCKED!
