8 Chapter 08: New orphan at the church

After a tew minutes the dazzling display dissipated leaving the clear stary sky. Celestia returned flying from the forest landed near Gabriel after she had confirmed the death of the berserker devil.

"How was it?" Gabriel asked with a smile on her face. She knew that her friend had somewhat of a battle crazy tendency. The other angels didn't like this feature of her's because this wrathful nature could lead her to fall from grace and become a Fallen Angel like so many of their comrades these days.

"Yes Lady Gabriel, thank you for your leniency." Celestia folded her wings and bowed respectfully the Seraph in front of her."It seems that the devil are doing something shady in the shadows." She changed the subject addressing the magic circle she saw on the berserker devils head.

"Yes we should report this to Headquarters." Gabriel answered unconsciously rocking the baby in her arms which was sleeping quietly.

"Yes my Lady,Iliadis give our fallen comrade a proper burial,( A/N: What do they do with the dead. Could you guys tell me?)Elysia take that devil for investigating and Zadkiel clear the scene!." Celestia gave her orders to Iliadis a male dark skinned angel, Elysia a petite female angel who was next to the dead werewolf devil and Zadkiel a male angel knight. 

"""YES MADAM!"""the replied simultaneously.

After they gave their replies they went to do their assigned duties."Also Zadkiel don't repair the forest.The holy magic in that area should dissuade any enemies trying to infiltrate angel territory, cast a suggestion spell to make tge townspeople think that the new terrain is normal." She added. The angel nodded and went to do his job after Celestia was satisfied seeing them turn to Gabriel and was about to talk when she finally saw the baby in the Seraph's arms.

"What an odd hair colour and also where did you get it from?." She addressed the whereabouts of the baby.

"Oh. This little one's mother was very unfortunate to cross the path of the devils and I think she was taken by them." Gabriel answered.She gently rocked the baby back and forth.

"So is it a boy or a girl?." Celestia asked curiously trying to pass the time until their squadron was finished doing their assigned duties."I don't know, how do you know if its a boy or a girl?." Gabriel asked with such pure innocence in her eyes that made Celestia feel like she was the impurest being in this moment.

"We...Well you check if it has that thing or another thing." Celestia said admonishing herself with sweat running down her face for letting the conversation head this way."What's a 'thing'?."Gabriel asked getting uncomfortably closer to her friend looking directly in her eyes with unbridled curiosity.

"...sigh...Fine I'll show you, but only as a learning experience so remember this okay."Celestia sighed then answered the question with a serious expression on her face." Give me the baby" she added extended her hands."un" Gabriel nodded and gave the baby to Celestia.

Celestia the removed the cloth that was wrapped around the baby. Then took of its clothes revealing the pinky sized little brother of the baby boy."So if someone has this thing it means there a boy." Celestia confirmed the gender of the baby while giving the curious Seraph a biology lesson with a slight blush on her face .

"Oh. So that's how you know."Gabriel muttered looking at the little baby boy's member.She curiously felt the urge to touch it. She lightly poked it with her right index finger.

"D..DON'T TOUCH IT!!!Celestia exclaimed angrily with a tomato red shade on her face surprising Gabriel while reeling back covering the baby in the pink cloth.

'Is she that innocent?" Celestia asked herself. 'She too pure , I have to protect her from all the lustful beasts out there. I swear to protect Lady Gabriel upon my very being so help me Father.' She proclaimed not to only herself but to her father, The Biblical God and father of all angels.

"Ehmm. Now Lady Gabriel to what I'm about say ingrave it to your very soul." Celestia uttered with a serious expression on her face unlike any other she has shone."What's wrong did I do something inappropriate?" Gabriel asked with worried expression on her face surprised by her friend's sudden seriousness.

"If by any means any male, man,boy asks you to touch or wants to wants to touch anything similar to the thing you just saw run away.Run, fly , teleport very far away as fast as you can. Then after that tell Father, Sir Michael or any of the other Seraph got it." Celestia said sternly. "Promise me Gabriel, not as a promise between superior and subordinate but a promise between friends." She added with an angelic smile.

Gabriel saw that her friend's request was genuine chose to make that promise. "Fine. I promise to abide with your wishes. I, Gabriel swear by Father's name. 

"Thank you." Celestia answered with a warm smile that caused a chain reaction causing Gabriel to smile too.'Well its a step toward the right direction I hope.' She thought to herself.

"Lady Gabriel, Lady Celestia we're finished ."Elysia the petite angel respectfully chimed into their conversation the other angels wgere waiting for their next order.

Gabriel looked around seeing that they were done addressed them." Good now we return to Headquarters." But shortly after she was reminded of a small problem.

"Uh. Lady Gabriel I think you're forgetting something." Celestia interrupted her. Getting Gabriel's attention on the peacefully sleeping baby boy in her arms. 

"What should we do about him, should we take him to Heaven.Is that even possible." Gabriel asked with curiosity.

"I don't think that's possible but there should be an orphanage/church in this village. I think we should leave him there. Celestia answered.

Though there could be a possibility that the baby can be allowed in Heaven. But now was a time of war and because of that there would be nobody who could raise him properly. But in the orphanage he could live peacefully. That was Celestia thought process at that time.

"Okay." Gabriel answered reluctantly because she had grown rather fond of the baby. Being around it gave her a certain comforting feeling.

"How about we give him a name at least since his going to live in an orphanage. I mean we don't know his real name and neither will he." Said the petite cheeky angel Elysia getting a closer look at the baby.

"You make a compelling case Elysia but isn't that kinda wrong though. I mean what right do we have to give him a new name?." Zadkiel interjected into the conversation.

"I don't know I just thought I could be fun choosing a name. And since there already gonna give him a name at the church so let's just do it know." Elysia said shrugging her shoulders."What do you say Lady Gabriel" she added.

"Hmm, fine lets give him a name then." After a brief contemplation Gabriel made her desision."But what should it be." She said. "It should be something strong and dignified." Added Celestia.

The started the 4 out of the 5 angels contemplation of a name. " Oh how about Richard?" Zadkiel said. "Nah too...ify." Elysia replied. Some names were thought of but were quickly denied. This lasted for a about five minutes before an intervention was made.

"How about David?" These words came from the mostly quiet Iliadis. He didn't speak much but when he did his voice was stern.

"Hmm I like it. How about you Celestia?" Gabriel asked her friend."I guess its a fine name." Celestia answered. "I agree with Lady Gabriel how about you Zadkiel ." Elysia replied. Zadkiel nodded in conformation.

"So it's decided this ones name will be David." Gabriel decided. "Do you like it little one?" She spoke to the baby while poking its chubby cheeks.

"Lady Gabriel he's far too young to understand much less answer you." Celestia said jokingly. But the next thing that happened surprised her.

'David' very slight opened his eyes revealing his reddish brown eyes.And gave a very low barely audible grunt."un." Before going back to sleep again. "I stand corrected." Celestia said with amazement. "Pfftt. I guess he likes it then." Gabriel gave a low chuckle at what she just saw.

"Ehhmm I think its about time we go. Celestia tried to change the subject to hide her embarrassment. 

In the end only Gabriel and Celestia went to the church/orphanage with the newly named David. The priest and the head nun were very delighted to meet a High Class angel and a Seraph in a village this far away from the politics of the Main Church.

Once they arrived Celestia asked a few questions about the activity of devils and fallen angels near this village to which the priest answered truthfully.

They also asked if David could live as an orphan here and told the priest and nun about his situation. They were very happy to take him in and Gabriel had to sadly separate from David.

"Remember David no matter what things you face in life always remember that the lord is with you, never forget that. Gabriel muttered in the baby's ear and then kissed his forehead.Then she separated from David then came Celestia turn to say goodbye.

"Even though this might not be from your mother I hope you will accept this gift." Celestia took out her cross from her pocket and was about to give it to the baby when she noticed something.

David already has a cross around his neck but they failed to notice it earlier.(A/N:David's Cross in paragraph comments)

But she still gave him her cross and caressed his head little David.

"Goodbye Little David. I don't know when or how I hope we will meet when you're all grown up." She said with a warm smile. The scene was so heartwarming it cause the nun to cry.

Gabriel couldn't help it anymore and went to Celestia and David and hugged them both with tears treating to fall from her eyes.

"Silly girl." Celestia said. After a few minutes Celestia reined in Gabriel and they finally left.

But....

Deep inside David's consciousness something was happening.
