23rd World Marrial Arts Tournament

Goku went to Namek and brought back Nail. He went to King Kai and brought piccolo. He also brought Cabba to attend the tournament. Goku decided to only use his base form in the tournament. He will not go super saiyan. In the several months he was on earth, He had trained Chichi and Mint personally. He had also taken them to Guru to unlock their potentials. He had also forced Bulma to train atleast to keep herself fit. She reluctantly agreed after even being forced by the girls as well.

Mint was a prodigy as she was the daughter of two saiyan elites just like Vegeta. In the original she might have died an unknown death as the anime only covered Goku and his adventures and not all the planets. After training with Goku for nearly a year and unlocking her potential, her power level reached 3.5 million. She was 19 years old and her body had matured making her strong just after a short training. She just needs the required S cells or a strong emotional stimulant for her to achieve super saiyan. Her base power is more than enough. She was even stronger than Goku in frieza saga.

Chichi on the other hand also had tremendous potential as a human which she wasted in the original. After the intense training and the potential unlock by Guru, her power level reached an astonishing 90000. She was the by far the strongest human. Even stronger than Krillin as Krillin had got to a power level of 75000 after his potential unlock in the original. Bulma didn't work hard in the training. She was only interested in science. But due to the forceful training and with the help of Guru, her power level reached 350. She didn't have much potential to begin with. That's what guru said, but he unlocked all he can. The training she did was practicing to control that power. She was not interested in combat so she did absolutely no combat training.

Soon, the day of the tournament arrived. Everyone made their way to participate or watch the fights. Goku and the girls including Nail, Piccolo and Cabba arrived and everyone registered except for bulma. Another group that registered were Yamcha, Krillin, Tien & Chiaotzu who arrived along with Master Roshi, oolong pair and launch. Goku met them and greeted them. They were all surprised to see the growth of Goku and Mint.

The preliminaries started and it was safe to say that only Goku and his friends passed with the exception of Chiaotzu as he was matched up against Nail and was knocked out. Cabba was also knocked out after being matched up with Goku. The quarter finals matchups were then decided.

Chichi Vs Krillin

The first match Nail Vs Yamcha started and it wasn't even a match. Yamcha had a power level equal to what he had in saiyan saga. 1350. Nail just flexed his hand and knocked Yamcha out of the ring.

The second match junior (piccolo) Vs Mint was a good one. Piccolo had reached a power level of 1.5 million after training for 3years under nail and King Kai. The match started and mint powered up. Sensing her power, piccolo started to use Kaioken. Punches and kicks could only be heard and shock waves felt. Everyone stared at the battle surprised as the contestants were constantly disappearing from their eyes. The fight continued.

Yamcha, Krillin, Tien and also Master Roshi sweat dropped witnessing the power of the two. Their senses were screaming danger. After a while, the fight reached no where so Mint powered up full and her power reached 3.5 million. Piccolo sensing this gritted his teeth and shouted "Triple Kaioken" and his power reached 3.2 million. They both took the fight to the sky as to not hurt the people. Seeing them flying, the spectators were shocked and dropped the stuff they were holding in their hands watching the sky.

Mint charged and rained attacks on piccolo. Piccolo defended them and fired a beam from his mouth. Mint countered with a Kamehameha wave and both beams cancelled each other. Master Roshi opened his mouth wide shouting "What" seeing such powerful Kamehameha wave. Goku and Nail stood down below and protected everyone from the shock waves shaking their heads at the antics of the two fighting. They did not know humility. As their power levels were equally matched, it was a close match. But it ended finally with Mint winning as Piccolo was exhausted unable to sustain Kaioken any longer. Kaioken put a lot of pressure on the body so piccolo had no choice but to end the match fast, but sadly Mint's powers were above his.

And the third match Goku VA Tien began. Both Goku and Tien stood on the stage. Goku smiled at Tien, but Tien was a little scared after he witnessed the previous battle. Goku said "Its good that you have left that evil crane and turned a good leaf. Let's have a good fight Tien." Tien nodded and powered up. Goku felt that his power should be around 1500. So he reduced his power to almost the same level and started the fight. It was a fight between martial arts techniques rather than power. The fight went on for about 5minutes and Tien was breathing heavily. Goku then powered up a little more and knocked him out of the ring. Thus the match ended with Goku's win.

The final match of the quarter finals was also not interesting. Krillin had a power level of 1400 and chichi has 90000. She disappeared and appeared in front of Krillin and flicked a finger on Krillin's forehead and Krillin flew and landed out of the ring. Much to the his surprise and the surprise of every one there. The three of them Tien, Yamcha and Krillin made a mental note to ring Goku after the tournament to ask him to help them train as they knew that he trained chichi and mint.
