1 Departure

I groaned as my alarm blared through my room. I opened my eyes only to find that the clock read 7am. I forced myself off of my bed and began to get ready. I went downstairs after I was done. I was greeted by the fresh smell of and satisfying sizzle of bacon as I entered the kitchen. "Good morning" I greeted my mother who was busy in an apron. "Good morning honey , did you sleep well?" my mother asked in a cheerfull tone. "Slept okay" I murmured still feeling exhausted.

''Someones finally up.'' My dad said as he walked in the kitchen , my younger brother coming in right behind him. ''You've got the wrong girl dad, Yurcia is still knocked out cold upstairs'' I reply defending myself. Yurica is my older sister the eldest of all of us . There are three of us in total , Yurcia who I already mentioned as the oldest is 23. I'm 15 the second and middle child , then comes my younger brother Michael who is 12 years old.

''Remember Michela today is your first day of school at Bermidia and for Yurcia its her day off'' my dad said giving me a look. ''Its really not fair that Michela is the one who gets to have magic'' Micheal said. ''I know right she gets to go to bermidia when I had to go to collage and work a 5 to 9 in an office.'' Yuricia chimmed in on her way to the kitchen. ''Well that's just because im better than both of you , whether I have my powers or not.'' I said facing both yurcia and Michael. ''Now now michela definetly deserves to go to bermidia high and michela is not better than anyone , if anything yurcia is better because she is actually bringing in some cash.'' my mom said while placing dishes on the table.

I glanced over at Michael and he mumbled an 'idiota' that was clearly directed to me but I paid him no mind .

We ate breakfast together in silence. Dad was the first to stand up after finishing his food."Michael and Michela its time to take you two to school" he said. I said my good byes to everyone , because I wouldn't be seeing them for quite a while. Bermidia was somewhat of a boarding school so I would be away for a while. We dropped Michael off first since his school was closer. Bermidia was rather far. We went through the highway and then into a literal forest. Its like this school is in the middle of nowhere , because the further we kept driving the more trees we saw.

''You know Michela im really proud of you , not only for being in Bermidia but also for who you've turned out to be in general.'' my dad said catching me of guard . ''Aww dad thanks , you're going to make me cry before we even get there." "But its true , I am." he replied. A comfortable silence lingered in the air for a while before he spoke again.

"You know your grandmother , my mother in law also had this ability and she'd always tell us stories about how she went to war against her archenemy... you've definetly inherited it from her.'' I love it when he tell me my family's story's. My dad I are pretty close but he always occupied with work all the time. "I'll do this for her then" I said. "I'm sure she'd be so proud of you " he said .

We drove in silence for the rest of the way after that. After passing what felt like a thousand trees the car came to a stop. Before us were humongous black gates. Security let us in after a few minutes of waiting. This place looked like it belonged to a very wealthy king , 1900's. It simply looked to good to be true. After my dad found a parking spot we went inside.

The inside was way better than the inside. I was in awe, this place is gorgeous , it looks like something you'd see in a movie. It had a sort of dark aesthetic vibe to it. A lady with white hair signed me in as an official student at the receptionist table. A different lady who had black hair and looked her mid 30's showed me to my dorm room. It was on the third floor which was a complete nightmare because the stairs were exhausting and they didnt have an elevator here. Everything about this place was so spacious, the corridors and even some rooms that I caught glimpses of.

My dorm room was just as spacious with a high ceiling which was quite shocking considering this place has about 5 floors. It already had a bed , a bedside table, a study desk positioned infront of a window that had a dozen vines on it and a two door wardrobe by the corner. After exchanging some heavy goodbyes with my dad , he left. I stood by the door not moving watching him disappear behind the stairs. "Michela was it?" the lady who showed me my room asked snapping me out of my trance. "You will have about an hour to yourself before all students are called to the main hall.'' she continued not even giving me a chance to reply before she left.

After covering the bed with a set of green and blue bedding , placing my lamp and laptop and a few books on the desk , putting all my clothes in the wardrobe I was finally done. I only got about 15 minuets of rest after setting up before a voice that came from the hall announced for all students to go to the main hall. "At first I was a little worried I'd get lost in here but all that was shoved aside when I opened my door to a blue hue creating some path way.

I figured that was my guide to the main hall so I followed it. On my way there I bumped into someone. I looked up to see who it was and i saw green eyes surround by black wavey hair. ''Damnit watch where youre going'' the guy practically shouted and stormed of into the doors. What a jerk.

I reached the doors and stood by the end of the crowd , I was never really one to socialize. ''Damn you look like you were put in the naughty corner'' a girl beside me randomly blurted out. I turned to face her, she had white hair matching the color of her skin and brown eyes. She was an albino a gorgeous one. "Naughty corner, isn't that a little childish?" I ask. "Its not as nice as It sounds, I'm Theresa by the way."she said . ''I'm Michela, nice to meet you, and also what do you mean the naughty corner is not as nice as it sounds?" Theresa was about to reply before she was cut off.

''Calm your woes students''. A loud voice boomed across the hall, causing everyone to go quiet almost instantly. ''Students today you all officially enroll as students of Bermidia high and a great future awaits you all. As a student respect each other and your teachers you have all worked hard to be here so throw it away with stupid teenager decisions. Any doings that go against the rules or protocol will face serious consequences. Enjoy your stay, dinner will be served in the dinning hall shortly. "A man huge grey beard announced.

Immediately after he was done the students stormed out to get some food.Of course the cafeteria looked so spacious and gorgeous. It had long benches attached attached on either side of the desks. I got my meal and sat down on the egde of one the benches and started eating. "Mind if I join?" Theresa said settling on the bench across me. "No you can join. I replied. Theresa was a vibe and we got along immediately.

We talked throughout the whole meal. We were enjoying each others company so much we lost track of time. We separated and headed to our dorms after goodbye one last time.I went straight to bed and got under the covers thinking about how tomorrow is going to turn out. Everything went black as I dozed of and let sleep take over.
