25 Magic Knight Exam

Morning soon came, as Madara went out and did his usual training. Today was the day, Yuno and Asta would set off to the clover kingdom. Madara wouldn't be accompanying them because he was going to go on the day of. Also, he could just use spatial magic to be there in an instant.

Since both Yuno and Asta were gone, he could spend a little bit more time with Sister Lily. She still acted the way she did before, she still had the same mother persona.

Every night since then, Madara and Sister Lily would have their night time visits. The more they visited each other, the more experience they got, so it could be more enjoyable for them.

On the day of the exam, Madara was the same. Something like this was a normal day for him. For the whole day, Madara trained like he was going to war. When it was around that time, Madara took a bath, then used spatial magic to teleport to the entrance of the kingdom.

Of course, he concealed himself, so that the guards wouldn't be able to sense him. When he walked to the entrance, he had no problem going through. Either the wizard king told the guards to let him through any time, or they were too scared to say anything to him.

While walking through the kingdom, the ones who were out that night were able to recognize him. They didn't hold a grudge of how he acted toward the wizard king, but they still wanted to teach him proper manners.

Now seeing him, he looked more intimidating than he did six months ago. Now, they didn't dare say anything to him.

Madara then made his way to the blacksmith. When he tried to open the door, it was locked. He was confused until he focused on his hearing.

*Ting!* *Ting!* *Ting!*

The sound of metal clashing rang throughout the shop. Madara concluded that the blacksmith was still working on his weapons. He did say six months, so he had until midnight.

Madara then made his way to where they would commence the exam. He didn't see Asta or Yuno, so he concluded that they were already at the test site. Madara walked up to what was a Colosseum back on earth.

"WHAT'S WITH THESE DAMN BIRDS!" A familiar voice yelled which got everyone's attention.

Madara chose to take a spot in a secluded area. When he hears the scream, he opened his eyes to see Asta getting attacked by a swarm of birds.

"GET THEM OFF OF ME!" Asta yelled trying to swat the birds, when that didn't work he started to run.

Not paying attention to his surroundings when he ran, he ran into a muscular man smoking a cigarette.

"Oh, there he is! What is he doing down here?" A man with light brown hair said as he spotted the smoker.

"Hey... isn't that..." A man said with short wavy hair aid before being interrupted.

"Is that the great Finral Roulcase?" A woman said.

"And that's... Gordon Agrippa! The expert on incantation magic!" Someone yelled from the crowd looking at the man with black lipstick on.

"Ten... Nine... Eight..." The black-haired man said while squeezing Asta's head.

"Then that must be The Lord Of Destruction, Yami Sukehiro!" The crowd exclaimed.

"What're you counting down to?!" Asta said with a throbbing pain in his head.

"The end of your life." Yami said coldly tightening his grip. Asta then was lifted off the ground. He started flailing his arms and legs. He then grabbed Yami's muscular forearm, planted his feet, and began to push his arm.

Asta's muscles started to pop out, as he struggled to break free. Just when Yami got to one, fireworks went off in the distance.

"Come on, the exam is about to start!" Finral said to Yami.

Madara then closed his eyes because he remembered this scene vividly. Then the nine magic knight captains appeared to watch the exam. The only be that caught his eyes was the captain of the Blue Rose Knights, Charlotte Roselei.

Everyone started to cheer, as a man with a golden helmet appeared. Madara knew he would only have one chance at this. Madara activates his Sharingan.

"Candidates. Sorry to keep you waiting. I will be conducting this exam." The man said as he opened his grimoire and started flipping through pages.

"Magic tree, descend!" The man shouted as Madara copies his magic. In a bright green glow, the sky turns a dark gray, as tree branches give every examiner a broomstick.

Madara scoffed at this like it was child's play, but he still took the broom. He knew instantly if he flew without a broomstick, that would guarantee him a spot in any magic knight squad.

"We will now begin the Magic Knights Entrance Exam. We will now take several tests. The nine of us will evaluate your performance, and then we will select the candidates that we would like on our squads. If chosen, you will join that squad. If you're chosen by more than one squad, you may choose what squad you would like to join. On the other hand, those who are not chosen by any captain are not qualified to join the Magic Knights." The man coldly said on the last part.

"For the first exam, we will have you get on those brooms and fly." The man said causing the crowd to react.

"Mages who can control their magical power should be able to use this instinctively." The man with the helmet said as the vice-captain began to float while sitting on a broom. "It is the most basic way for mages to travel. If you can not fly on a broom, you shouldn't even be here. All right, begin." The man said as he stretched his arm in front of himself.

As everyone was struggling to fly, Yami looked to Madara who hadn't moved yet. 'Is he going to do it?' Yami thought to himself get anxious.

Seeing everyone fly, Madara thought it was time to show off. Madara began to float with ease, shocking everyone except Yami.

"Show off." Yuno said to himself watching Madara fly.

"Isn't he just a peasant?!"

"How is he able to fly with no broom?!"

"He must have insane control over his magic!"

Hearing that, someone gritted their teeth out of envy.

Madara levitated to where everyone could see him, then *swoosh* he moved so fast that even some of the captains couldn't see him. When he appeared, he was standing in front of the Captain Of The Blue Rose Knights.

"That was impressive. Now, what are you doing here?" Charlotte asked confused as the one behind her was getting mad because he was so close to her.

"You stated that " 'If you cannot defeat me, you could never accept my curse.' Is that correct?" Madara asked greatly confusing the others. Especially Charlotte, because she didn't remember telling him that.

"That is correct." Charlotte said trying to figure out what he was getting at.

"Then I challenge you." Madara said shocking everyone including the captains.

"Eh?!" Everyone yelled in unison.
