Standing in the rain with thunder loudly cracking, stood a figure with long hair, a bloody katana, and tears streaming down his face.

A body lying in blood with purple marks all over it and a bloodstain where his heart is. Even though the man was killed by the person in front of him, he had a smile on his face, he died happily.

"Damn it, old man, why did you tell me so late, of you would've said someone we could have some something to stop it," The figure said as he looked up with his eyes blood red. His eyes morphed into three circles connecting by a circular black line that got bigger the closer it got to the circle.

"You idiot, you knew what this would do to me and you still did it," The figure said as he fell to his knees and his mana began to leak out.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT, A SECOND TIME I LOST MY GRANDPA!" The figure yelled as he slammed his forearms on the ground.

Then he stops moving, stops making any noise, and stood there while the rain hit his back. He sat up and sat on his knees with his eyes white and his mouth slightly open.

The figure let out a yell as he released massive amounts of mana that kept increasing. "REINER!" was the only thing that came out of his mouth.

-------

Somewhere in the clover kingdom, a man with short messy blonde hair, purple eyes, and a blue six-star symbol on the left side of his forehead.

His attire consists of a shirt and pants of similar color and designs. The white shirt has a high collar with black fur at the end, and intricate gold and purple-colored designs on its circumference. The shirt also has long sleeves with light purple cuffs, which have similar black fur and designs. A pair of gold ring-shaped ornaments are also decorating the upper and lower parts of each sleeve.

His brown pants are complimented by a pair of high boots of similar color, which have black fur at the collars as well.

On top of everything, he wears a long red robe that covers his entire body. The part of his robe which covers his torso is decorated with white fur. On top of the fur, he wears a gold necklace and a couple of medals. One of those medals, a gold medal with a green cross, is positioned on the left side of his chest while the other, a shield with gold and red colors, is positioned on his right side.

Additionally, a pair of robes are protruding from the fur on his right back. Furthermore, the robe only has a single sleeve for his right arm.

This man was known as Julius Novachrono, the current wizard king of the clover kingdom. He was busy doing paperwork, he sensed a faint mana signature that was far out.

What surprised him was that to be so far away from him and he was able to sense it piqued his interest for whoever this person was.

He wanted to go toward the mana he felt, but his advisor Marx Francois would chew him out. But when he had time, he would go check out the source whoever possessed that amount of mana.

The memories over eight years flooded into Madaras' mind. He could only curse the old man for leaving him in everlasting pain.

Soon, he stood up and walked away with tears in his eyes rocking to the side slightly. While walking not having a pacific destination, the conversation from a few hours ago came into his mind.

--------

'These marks are appearing faster than my body can heal or at least stop it for a while. This is going to be a troublesome conversation,' Reiner thought as he looked at the purple marks on his body.

'That geezer always acting so strange,' Madara thought as he looked over to Reiner who was lost in his thoughts.

*Cough* *Cough* *Cough* *Cough* coughing hard enough that his chest burned and blood came from his mouth.

Reiner looked to Madara who was moving like a master with his swordplay. He has become so efficient with a sword and the way he moved was like he practiced for years, well, he did.

After that day with Phoenix, Reiner gifted Madara with a sword that has been passed down for generations. It was an elemental sword that depending on which magic you put inside the sword, you could use sword and magic techniques at the same time.

Reiner demonstrated a style that seemed like he was flowing like water, the way he was moving was beautiful, it wasn't like anything Madara has ever seen.

Madara copied it with his Sharingan and almost instantly was moving like Reiner, but with noticeable flaws.

After Madara got the hang of it, which didn't take long, he moved on to the next step by using simple using magic attacks with the sword.

In weeks, Madara was able to master the sword style and made it his own the way he utilized the style.

Seeing that Madara had perfected the style, Reiner showed Madara a second style. This style wasn't too different from the first style, but this style focused on killing the opponent.

The movement was so swift and precise, that it almost resembled assassination. Noticing this, a smile crept onto Madaras' face imagining cutting someone down.

Madara copied the style with excitement as he instantly started practicing the style. Reiner noticed that Madara was a little too happy that he learned the style and got concerned about Madaras' motives and plans.

But no matter how many times he has seen It, Madaras' growth never seemed to surprise him because every day he improved. He even got rid of almost every beast creature in the forest.

But that wasn't the end of what seemed like Madaras' endless potential and growth. Reiner couldn't help but admire Madara, but he knew sooner than later, that he would have to leave Madara.

The reason he didn't say anything was that he didn't want to waste the rest of the years he had in a hospital, instead, he wanted to spend it with someone who was like his grandson.

Even though he knew Madara was going to be in pain, but this was better than worrying him for the time he had left then dying on him.

So he cherished the rest of the time he had with Madara. Madara knew something was up, but couldn't tell what, and even if Reiner was acting a little weird he was the same old man.

"Hey, old man, how about we spar again?" Madara asked as he got into a stance.

"You want to beat up an old man? I could never imagine someone who would beat an old man," Reiner said putting on an act because he knew the trained Madara would destroy him in his state.

"Ok, just a light spar," Madara said rolling his eyes because he thought Reiner was scared.

"Ok, I can do that," Reiner said as he got into his stance as well.
