Synopsis

As Charlotte was desperately trying to free herself from the veins, she felt the veins holding her tighten their grip.

'Someone help me.'

These were the only thoughts on her mind as her eyes started to blur.

"Hey... hey... don't lose your consciousness. Hold up."

She heard the voice of someone asking her not to give up.

At first,

she thought she was hallucinating, but then a hand entered through a small gap between the few veins and tried to move them.

"____"

Seeing the hand,

Charlotte woke up and looked at it.

After a moment, another hand entered the same gap and tried to tear the shell of veins that were forming.

Through the gap,

Charlotte saw a young boy with white hair and blue eyes gritting his teeth, indicating he was using his full strength to push the veins.

'Damn, where are you, Yami?'

These were the only thoughts in Ben's mind.

He came out of the village with some hunters who helped him by teaching him how to hunt.

After having a hard time convincing Father Orsi to let him go with the hunters for a few days for practical experiences, he came with them.

Unfortunately,

when they arrived at the village,

the hunters got a commission to hunt a mana beast with a generous reward,

so they left Ben and asked him to go back to Hage village before night because it might be dangerous to take him to the abode of the mana beast,

giving him some money as compensation.

When Ben was looking around the stores curiously because this was the first time he had come to this village even though it was very close to Hage village.

Boom...

Crash... Boom... Boom...

Suddenly,

the ground started to shake, and a large number of veins came out of the ground and started going on a rampage.

The crowd started to panic and run from the veins.

The veins started to demolish the buildings and small shops at the side of the road.

He saw a beautiful lady with blond hair trapped by a large number of veins that started to cover her like a dome.

When he saw her face,

he was shocked to see one of the familiar faces.

At first,

Ben thought Yami would come like in the anime,

but after a few seconds,

he started to panic and ran towards Charlotte,

seeing a vein tightening around her neck,

making it hard for her to breathe.

While Ben was trying to make space for Charlotte to escape,

he felt his magic being absorbed by the veins.

"____"

'Shit, it was absorbing my mana.'

Ben gritted his teeth and tried his best to move it.

'Damn Yami, where are you?'

Ben cursed Yami inwardly.

In a particular restaurant's restroom...

"Ahhhh... I am going to break my limit."

Yami started to go super slow mode inside the bathroom.

"Kid, run... don't come here..."

Seeing Ben's complexion change due to mana being absorbed,

Charlotte gritted her teeth and said word by word with difficulty to make the kid help her fly to safety.

"Sorry, but I won't let a beauty like you die here."

Ben, who was cursing Yami for not arriving until now, muttered without thinking.

"____"

"Beautiful?"

Charlotte muttered and looked at Ben with wide eyes.

Badum... Badum...

Charlotte's heart started to beat fast;

her face turned red while looking at Ben's figure, who was desperately trying to save her.

'He said I am beautiful... Beautiful... I am beautiful...'

Her mind was in turmoil with various thoughts looking at Ben.

"Shit... If this goes on, I won't be able to hold up."

Mana's exhaustion started to take a toll on him.

Suddenly,

the veins stopped growing and became dead,

vanishing from there like they never existed.

Seeing this,

both Charlotte and Ben became shocked,

but for different reasons.

'What happened? Did her mana exhaust?'

Ben looked at the place where the veins were,

which he was trying to move.

'This can't be real... To break the curse like this, I need to find my true love... Don't tell me he is my...'

Looking at the scene with a dumbfounded expression,

Charlotte tried to process what happened and looked at Ben with a rose tint on her cheeks.

Sigh...

Ben had a sigh looking at the problem that had been solved and sat on the ground tiredly while taking deep breaths.

When Charlotte was about to ask about Ben's name,

they heard a lot of villagers coming in their direction with angry expressions on their faces.

Ben immediately took Charlotte's hand and ran into the forest to escape from the villagers.

They didn't have to run from there because she was a Magic Knight Captain,

but for some reason,

she kept quiet and went along with Ben while enjoying his hand grip.

Yami came out of the restaurant and looked around to see the damage to the walls and the ground while taking a puff.

'Looks like someone already solved the problem.'

He started walking after paying for the food he ate in the restaurant.

After running for half an hour...

Ben and Charlotte stopped, and Ben released the hold on Charlotte's hand.

When Ben released the hold,

Charlotte felt some disappointment.

"I think now we are safe. Follow me."

Ben turned and looked at Charlotte and asked her to follow him.

She nodded and followed him.

After walking for an hour, they reached an old small wooden house.

Ben informed her that she could take a rest here since she lost her mana earlier.

"This place is abandoned, so no one will come here,"

Ben reassured Charlotte,

who was looking at the old wooded houses with complex expressions.

For the next three days,

Charlotte stayed with Ben in the house, telling them various reasons while Ben stayed there to hunt on his own and try taking it to the orphanage.

During this time,

Charlotte helped him by teaching him mana control exercises to help him control his mana.

Then they bid farewell on the fourth day, with Ben walking towards Hage village while Charlotte summoned a broom and left the place.

Flashback end...

When Charlotte sees the old house,

which continues the memories of her and Ben who lived together,

she becomes emotional.

She didn't know what happened to her;

she suddenly hugged Ben tightly while muttering

"Thank you" to him.

Ben didn't expect Charlotte to react this way.

He stood there for a few moments, momentarily shocked by Charlotte's action. Then he hugged her tightly with a warm smile on his face.

He knew Charlotte had feelings for him when he noticed it at the Blue Rose base.

They stayed like this for a few minutes.

"How can I let a beauty die?"

Ben looked at Charlotte's eyes and whispered in her ears.

Chuckle...

Hearing Ben,

she chuckled and moved forward and met Ben's lips.

Ben didn't stand idle;

when Charlotte kissed him on his lips,

he moved his tongue and tried to enter her mouth.

First, Ben faced a little resistance, and later she successfully breached her mouth and battled with her tongue.

Both Ben and Charlotte tried their best to dominate each other.

After kissing deeply for three minutes, their lips separated from each other to take a breath.

While a string of saliva connected their lips.

"Charlotte. I love you."

Ben confessed, looking at Charlotte seriously.

Feeling Ben's sincerity through his eyes, a big happy smile blossomed on her face.

She nodded her head and looked at Ben with a love-filled gaze.

"Baka... I love you too... You made me wait all these days. You need to make up for it."

Charlotte accepted Ben's confession and punched him lightly on his chest with fake anger.

Some distance from them, behind the bushes, three figures looked at the scene with wide eyes.
